Well "Give Me A Sign" was a rock chart underachiever and it doesn't seem to be doing anything on pop as of yet. I'm not saying it was a bad choice as far as showing they're not a one-trick pony, but from a pure chart numbers perspective, Fran is likely right. Fran is never right. And "Crawl" or "Fade Away" would've done worse. At least this hit Top 10 on both rock charts. Wow, really never? I do think if one of those two songs had been the second single, it would have gone higher on Active. About Alternative, I really don't know if the performance would have been better, but still... Oh, by the way, I love "Blow Me Away". I actually prefer it over the majority of the Dear Agony songs and I think it could do great on radio.

"Blow Me Away" is their best song IMO.
Which kinda sucks, because...
A) It's not on an official album (Well, it is on an EP, but still) B) Aaron didn't have anything to do with it, and for someone who's trying to do the opposite of feeding Ben's ever-expanding ego, calling it their best song doesn't help matters any.

"Blow Me Away" is one of their best songs. Shame it was wasted as an outtake/b-side.

Off to a good start. I see this surpass the underwhelming peak of Give Me a Sign.

I think it'll peak at #9 on active and #24 on alternative (not very good compared to other singles). I wonder if they'll release another single after this....

Does anyone remember where Until the End peaked at? I'd like to see how this song matches up to the previous 3rd single. Both formats would be helpful.

I remember that annoyed the crap out of me after tracking its progress, one spot shy of top 5 and top 20.

Probably. Same thing happened in recent years with Audioslave & Velvet Revolver.

It's kind of ironic that "Lights Out" is their last single as a band. Ha. I'll miss them

found this statement from the founder of ShallowBay.com
"This is all I will say about today's drama.
I will no longer be put in a position to confirm or deny rumors nor speculation regarding the band's status nor its members. It's odd how one single facebook blurp can snowball into an all out free for all. It goes to show how newsworthy this band's break-up would would be and the fall out that would ensue.
If the band wishes to speak their mind and share any details about anything they have always had an open invitation to chat with their fans. But it is up to them, not I, to field and answer the rumors.
The band is on hiatus this summer with no new news related to future shows."

I really hope that they're not breaking up, and it's only a short hiatus.

I never saw the hiatus coming since I don't recall hearing any problems in BB Land in the past. I certainly hope it's just a temporary thing because the band had/has too much good going for them to end it all now.

"Breaking Benjamin," the brand, will likely be around for awhile, but "Breaking Benjamin" the band isn't gonna be the same. The fans have seen it coming, and once Ben (allegedly) said "I quit" the official website went into Defcon 1, removing everything except for one thread with the official announcement. We all knew it was coming, and the fact that no one had a second thought over what may have been a false alarm is telling. Ben is a complete asshole; a power-hungry, egotistical, scared of cats, planes and everything else asshole. Prior to 'Dear Agony,' the other members signed all their rights of the band name to Ben, in doing so he made himself the ONLY actual member, the other guys went from equals to touring members a la NIN. I know when I saw the announcement, originally from a secondary source, I didn't question it, especially after Ben's solo tour announcement (or, rather, "The Benjamin Burnley Duo"). I still think the band: Ben, Aaron, Mark, and Chad; is pretty much done, but I'm sure Ben will recruit a new crop of musicians to fill in. EDIT: Well, it's now "official" again: tunelab.com/2010/06/28/confirmed-breaking-benjamin-is-done/

Yeah, that was all the rage on the shallow bay today.
When all these dreams have come to end. This is how it's gonna end. I forgive you, forget you, the end. etc.
In fact, I remember after 'Phobia' first came out a lot of members thought that was gonna be the last album because both "Dance with the Devil" and "Here We Are" end with the words "Say Goodbye," and because of the lyrics in the final track ("You Fight Me").

It's so hard to bite my tongue. But I can freely text my feelings to my local radio station when they mention it on-air tomorrow in Breaking Benjamin's biggest market.

found this on TSB:
Official Announcement
The band has not broken up and nobody has been fired. As of now the band is on hiatus at least through the summer. An announcement (official post from a band member to TSB) should be coming soon. Ben did in fact tell other members to go audition for other bands but did not officially get rid of anyone. Not to say it wont happen at some point in the future, but not just YET.
