Animal is a pretty good pop debut album IMO. There's hundreds of demos out there though. Obviously someone made some unwise tracklisting decisions for her. Otherwise, it's a pretty solid debut pop album. It's a decent debut, but years?!?!?! LOL. Did you even read Hate Plastic Hate's post? It took that long because Ke$ha explored different genres and she hadn't met Dr. Luke til about 2 years ago or so. It's still better than The Fame (which is good) and most of the people I've asked who really don't stan for either preferred Animal to The Fame as well. I guess I just remember the days when artists didn't take years to assemble something so generic. How old are you?

Christina's debut could cut half the songs and no one would care. Her debut is solid from start to finish. ;)

Animal is better than The Fame IMO. Of course, people frequenting this thread would be biased in one way or another.

Animal is better than The Fame IMO. Of course, people frequenting this thread would be biased in one way or another. I suppose that is natural. There are mostly Lady Gaga fans in here I think Fame's high points are higher than Animal's high points. I think Gaga made more classic pop songs. But, overall Animal is stronger as an overall cd. So, not sure which one would "win" for me-the one that had more highs but also more lows or the one that was strong throughout if not amazing.

The Fame vs. Animal, IMO.
1. 'Just Dance' vs. 'Your Love Is My Drug' 2. 'LoveGame' vs. 'TiK ToK' 3. 'Paparazzi' vs. 'Take It Off' 4. 'Poker Face' vs. 'Kiss N Tell' 5. 'Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)' vs. 'Stephen' 6. 'Beautiful, Dirty, Rich' vs. 'Blah Blah Blah' 7. 'The Fame' vs. 'Hungover' 8. 'Money Honey' vs. 'Party At A Rich Dudes House' 9. 'Starstruck' vs. 'Backstabber' 10. 'Boys Boys Boys' vs. 'Blind' 11. 'Paper Gangsta' vs. 'Dinosaur' 12. 'Brown Eyes' vs. 'Dancing With Tears In My Eyes' 13. 'I Like It Rough' vs. 'Boots & Boys' 14. 'Summerboy' vs. 'Animal'
I think the singles of The Fame are stronger than those of Animal, which are great too. But I think that most of Ke$ha's album tracks are stronger than GaGa's, with the exception of a few. Overall, The Fame wins for me.

The Fame is definitely overpraised as it has its share of clumsy moments. That said, it is head and shoulders stronger than Animal. Half of the latter is cringe-worthy. "Stephen," "Party At A Rich Dudes House," "Backstabber," "Dinosaur," "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes," and "Boots & Boys" are all so laughably bad and banal that no amount of overproduction can salvage them. I would only put "Boys, Boys, Boys" close to that category from The Fame but it's not as bad as any of the aforementioned tracks from Animal.
Lady Gaga's material is only marginally more serious in nature than Ke$ha or Katy if at all the end of the day. What separates her from them is the individuality she infuses in her sound such as her syllable repititions, quirky lyrical content and fairly consistent themes that are prevalent throughout her albums. Consequently, I believe this is why her work is generally better received than some of her contemporaries despite doing what could be viewed as throwaway pop like them. There are simply more elements at play in her music and the sense that she could easily elevate her sound if and when she so chooses. I cannot say the same about Ke$ha at this juncture.

'Beautiful, Dirty, Rich' vs. 'Blah Blah Blah' 7. 'The Fame' vs. 'Hungover' 8. 'Money Honey' vs. 'Party At A Rich Dudes House' [TIE] 9. 'Starstruck' vs. 'Backstabber' [TIE] 10. 'Boys Boys Boys' vs. 'Blind' 11. 'Paper Gangsta' vs. 'Dinosaur' 12. 'Brown Eyes' vs. 'Dancing With Tears In My Eyes' 13. 'I Like It Rough' vs. 'Boots & Boys' 14. 'Summerboy' vs. 'Animal' [TIE]
I can't listen to all of The Fame. The album just sounds way too similar. 'Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)' and 'Stephen' are both really cheesy pop songs but they work. 'Money Honey' and 'Party At A Rich Dudes House' are complete opposites but Money Honey is really catchy, and PAARDH is just a really fun song. Same thing with 'Starstruck' and 'Backstabber', and 'Summerboy' and 'Animal'.
I can listen to Animal without skipping any songs [well most likely Blah Blah Blah, but Beautiful, Dirty, Rich is dreadful compared to it.]
Now don't think I'm hating on Gaga because I really enjoy The Fame Monster [except for the dreadful Speechless]. And when Ke$ha's "Cannibal" comes out, I'll compare the two.

I prefer Animal. IMO the highs are about the same for me and is more consistant. Plus it is almost a perfect pop album.

That whole tracklisting comparison is stupid. Switch orders and the results would be different.

FULL SONG 'ON THE RADIO' leaked.. I don't care how many people say it's NOT GaGa or what's confirmed.. I still think it's her and will continue to.

She has a really distinctive tone when she's signing in her lower register like she's doing here, it's hard to think that it's someone else.

Even the rasp in that one part is clearly her lol. I do think it could possibly be her vocals sung over someone elses demo recorded for her in the chorus etc.. but still.. it's her.

It might be her and a session singer simultaneously on the bridge.

Btw- GaGa Daily also claimed it wasn't GaGa on the Hoes Fight demo, and when 'Don't Call My Name' leaked (Alejandro). They just don't want it spreading around because it's her, in fact.

Wasn't there always some kind of rumour of that title anyways?
I don't like GGD too much anymore. f**kers said there would be some damn DVD and there is NO news about it after they posted something on their site.

Isn't there a 'Living On The Radio' too? I definitely like this one, though. And it's got to be her vocals.
