Gaga is one of the first two acts (along with Jason Aldean) to be confirmed to perform at the Grammy Nominations Concert on November 30, 2011. :)
That's a great indication that she will get nominated at the Grammys this year.

Probably means she won't be performing at the Grammys this year but that's alright, considering she got a slot the last 2 years. I really hope BTW gets an AOTY nom.
On a side note, I have become obsessed with "Hair" lately. The message is so great if you can understand the context of what the song is written about!

It's kinda corny, but I like the message.

doesn't necessarily mean she won't have a spot to perform. her performances draw huge ratings, it would be kinda stupid to not have her perform

I'd be immensely surprised if she wasn't performing... she's had a big year and she'll bring in ratings.
I'm fully expecting ROTY/SOTY for Born This Way, not so sure about AOTY.

Gaga has actually opened for the Grammys for the past two years and she was among the most commercially successful artists in the worldwide (and in the U.S) this year; I would be surprised if she wasn't offered a performance slot too tbh.

GaGa will almost definitely be performing at the Grammys.
Carrie Underwood performed four years in a row, I believe.

Lady Gaga's Manhattan Hospital VisitBattling through a tough time in her life, Lady Gaga stepped out to visit an ill friend at a Manhattan hospital on Tuesday (October 25). The "Judas" singer was conservatively dressed in a long white frock with white platform heels as she carried a bouquet of flowers in-hand. Tweeting about her hopefully-mending pal, Gaga wrote, "It's why I have the best fans in the world. Thank you for sending love to me + my friend whose sick. Please pray." celebrity-gossip.net Hopefully her friend feels better. :(

And I'm sure she will perform at the actual telecast in 2012. Just because she's performing at the Nominations Concert doesn't mean she won't get a slot at the show. Miranda Lambert performed at both last year.

GaGa looks great, and it's amazing that BTW has sold 4.7 million albums worldwide in less than half a year :'(

That is probably a shipped number. It has probably sold around 5 by now overall and shipped about 2 more.

i've been reading reports that BTW has sold over 7 million WW actually Like Love Plastic Love said, the 4.7 is the most conservative number out there. So it could have sold more, and it has definitely shipped more to the stores.

I bet overall it should easily pass 6 million sold which I am pleased with. Can you imagine someone else's "flop" era selling 6-7 million worldwide? I am curious to see how album #3 goes. A little of those sales (though NOT as many as some would like) came from insane momentum. She won't have that bit of a cushion, but I do genuinely think more care will be taken to craft a radio friendly project with hits.

Grammy Submissions
ALBUM OF THE YEAR Born This Way
RECORD OF THE YEAR The Lady Is A Tramp (with Tony Bennett) Judas You & I
SONG OF THE YEAR Judas You & I
POP SOLO PERFORMANCE Judas You & I
POP VOCAL ALBUM Born This Way
SHORT FORM MUSIC VIDEO Born This Way You & I
And I guess, technically, the two submissions for Tony's Duets II album.
I don't see her winning any Grammys this year (except Tony's Traditional Pop Album).

No submissions for Born This Way the song? Wow! You and I for the general fields?

Well clearly they aren't serious about GRAMMYs this year. "Judas," really? "Born This Way" was her only legitimate shot at nabbing any major nods, with an outside chance for "The Edge of Glory." Why the fuck they went with the other two is beyond me.

I think she's winning one but I'm not sure which and I would die if it were AOTY but ADELE is taking it. :'(

Uhm, I have to believe Gaga herself submitted for herself this time around. You and I and Judas in the categories instead of the INSANELY Grammy friendly featuring another Grammy friendly artist The Edge of Glory and her massive pop hit Born This Way?

I see she's still trying to make "Judas" happen. Idiocy.

Hmm. I wonder why they wouldn't submi the 2 HUGE singles. She'll surely get a nominee for pop vocal album at the very least.

It's a shame Adele will take everything this year, BTW deserves Grammy recognition.
