Hung Up drew it's influence from Disco though, not Electro. It didn't bring back anything, it's pretty much a stand-alone massive single. HU is pure Electro Dance Pop. Nah, it's pretty much Disco with modern production tools. Oh yeah and Alejandro is flopping because this isn't Mexico and it isn't 1992! Excuse me? I think you mean 1994. Indeed. Haven't you guys heard of the unwritten rule that once a 15 year period has passed, the music from then is hot to the general public once more? Gags sure knows this and is taking full advantage .

Are people serious when they say Alejandro is flopping or joking around?

Gags sure knows this and is taking full advantage . Uh-huh, I have. Had GaGa even toyed with tropical, galumphing eurohouse beats and the hoover sound 5-10 years back, we'd all be LMAO-ing. Thank the lord she only discovered both a year ago!

I'd personally love if Gaga came out with an album by the fall. I used to think that artists should wait a while before releasing new material, but now I think it's better to strike while the iron's hot- she did that with her EP, and it has worked out well for her.
Hopefully Gaga will go in a different direction. I think the second album could really test whether Gaga will have a long-lasting career like Mariah or Madonna or just fade away.

HUHH WHAT....alejandro is flopping?? I THINK NOT!! N she needs to wait n release this new album next year, we still need an alejandro video, a DITD and monster release.. DITD is one of her best songs i can see a great video for this.. N monster is an instant #1 song but its nothing new or special about it

Are people serious when they say Alejandro is flopping or joking around? Some of my friends say it's flopping hardcore even though it's top 10 already. :o A number of them feel that most people aren't really feeling this song and payola is the only reason for its sudden explosion (the timing of it exploding after a slowdown) on Pop. I pointed out that other songs have had the same sort of chart run, but that just gets us nowhere. In our market, a couple of stations play her music a lot, but they get a lot of calls from people who tell them to stop because it's too much. This one station plays all 7 of her singles plus the song she did with Wale in very regular rotation. You would think that all 8 were current singles with the amount of airplay. A backlash seems to be brewing because she's literally everywhere. I have nothing against her being on so many TV shows, on the radio, on magazine covers, etc., but some might be tired of her. I think she needs to take a short break to give the fans a chance to miss her.

I really don't think anyone who knows anything about charts could actually make the argument that it is flopping- I can understand people who don't really know much about the charts thinking it is though depending.
I know she said she doesn't believe in breaks, but I soooooo want her to take a break after Alejandro. If they rush release ANOTHER single after this I can see that one flopping. Better to end on a big hit like Alejandro and then let recurrent play of past singles die down.

RUMOUR: "Dance In The Dark" will be her 4th single NOOO!!!!i honestly don't want a fourth single, but if I had to deal with one, I would rather it be "Monster" than that starpower-stopper. DITD is gonna grow soo old by the time it reaches Top 10.

I'm glad no single has been chosen yet. If they do pick one, it better be Monster. It's the only other song on The Fame Monster besides Bad Romance and Telephone that I listen to frequently. Plus, I think it could do very well, because Monster is a very good song.

I really hope the next era is a bit lighter. I loved this era to bits, but I would LOVE to see a bit more early debut Gaga influences coming out. She actually made some lighter, fun videos that I think would be refreshing after so many long, epic, dramatic ones.

Some of the lighter, fun tracks from The Fame are great (Paper Gangster and The Fame especially). More of that sound/mood could be a nice change of pace.

Well, drama and epicness is the main theme of The Fame Monster so all these exaggerations in the videos and her appearance were to be expected. For the 3rd album, I'd love for it to have a much lighter feel too. Some brunette, pre-Fame Stefani would be amazing but I have a feelin that she's gonna build up on her already established image. We'll see how it'll all turn out though.

It will bring the whole Fame era to a close, and will refer to Just Dance, so it will be a lighter look.

The song that should have the most overwhelming video will get such a crappy treatment?

He already has three working tracks for her next effort. So if he's right about the video, then I'll believe him about all the info he's given me so far.

Plus Monster is the perfect song to close out the fame/monster era(s). I cant wait for her 3rd album but I dont want it this year. I dont want her to be rushing and putting out albums so quickly.
