Well, I can't say I'm surprised. From Popeater: 'Idol' Tour Moving to Smaller Venues You know there is trouble in 'Idol'-land when host Ryan Seacrest is having to resort to Twitter to try selling unwanted tickets to the upcoming Idol tour.
Ryan tweeted, "If u were thinking about getting tix to the @americanidol live tour, do it now – ALL TIX are $20 for the next 24 hrs!" Yikes. Sources tell me ticket sales are so poor in certain locations that there is talk about moving the concerts from huge arenas to smaller theaters that hold less than 2,000 people.
Thank goodness Ryan has more than 3,201,054 Twitter followers, because if he can't sell the tickets, I'm pretty sure this season's winners can't.

Music-wise yes. I mean there used to be automatic #1 opening singles from each season. Now the winner gets a #24 hit?
TV-wise though, this season the show beat the record for most seasons at #1.

No surprise there... this was probably the WEAKEST season of AI to date. I predicted it and saw it coming. No one wants to pay no damn $40 - $60 to see this season. I won't pay more than $30 to see them! |

I've never went to any of the idol tours. It just doesn't seem worth it. All they're doing is more covers. I'd rather wait and just go see my 1 or 2 favorites once they put out an album and do solo shows.
Another problem is the price. Who the hell is going to pay $80 a ticket for floor seats to see these people? And $50 for seats up in the rafters? I'm going to see Maroon 5 in the 10th row for cheaper than a terrible seat at the American Idol tour.

I'm not even sure I'd go for free, unless you promised me that Siobhan was getting a chance to do more than 3 songs, (which she won't).
Last year's tour was pretty awesome. When Adam took the stage, every person in the house stood up and stayed up. Kris was great too.

Yeah I only ever went last year to see Adam, and he was amazing, but I'm completely uinterested in everyone tthis season.

I don't think it means anything for their post-idol careers. Jordin didn't get off to a great start with her winner's single and everything. It ended up being all about the quality of music she put out after with "Tattoo" and "No Air."
