"Man, right now we're trying to choose another single and we can't decide. We've been arguing about it," he laughed. "It's a great feeling to have that type of argument. We were in the hotel arguing about which song was the hottest. And that's a good feeling, knowing they're all hot. Usually when actors or actresses try to come into the music business, usually it's corny. I'm not like that." www.mtv.com/news/articles/1519755/20060104/foxx_jamie.jhtml?headlines=true

This would be a bad choice for a single, especially a second single at that. It sounds like such a sleeper and the beat is so awkward. The only thing that gives this song any level of energy whatsoever is the Game's 40 second rap approximately at the midway mark. He's such a great rapper and so underrated.

Im glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. The album was boring to me, and only 1 or 2 songs stood out. I dont even like Unpredictable, well its just now sorta starting to grow on me just because I'm hearing it often.

I think you have to be a R&B head to really think his album is hot. I am a R&B head and I enjoy every song on there besides "One Night...." It's my R&B album of the year. And yes, whoever said The Game was a under-rated rapper -- they are right. He is the next Jay-Z, IMO.

The Game got blackballed. "Put You On The Game" sounds like a top 10 Urban hit at least, and the song got no promotion whatsoever from Aftermath/Interscope, they didn't even buy the rest of the rights from G-Unit so as a result the song didn't do well at all. His skills as a rapper is much better than 50's.. but he will be overshadowed because of the previous popularity.
IMO he needs to stop the gang banging, and the "G-Unot" movement and focus that energy with the "Doctor's Advocate". He has too much talent, and has too much of a future to end up like 2Pac/Biggie.

how is game underated he sold over 2M, is regarded to have one of the best hip-hop albums of 05 and ppl generally feel he has more skills than 50! The problem is that the Game doesn't nearly generate any level of buzz nor does he get the recognition that someone like 50 Cent gets. 50 also has the airplay advantage over the Game. He had two big hits on his album but then some will say 50 Cent had a lot to do with them being huge and that the Game was living in his shadow (and G-Unit's). Then "Dreams" flopped even though it was one of the better rap songs we've had in a while and 50 wasn't anywhere near that song, along with "Put You On The Game" which put up the same results. The point is that he's a good rapper but many will think that he's nothing without 50 and G-Unit based on the singles and how certain ones perfomed when the truth is the album as a whole is really solid and did well, 50 or no 50. His sophomore album will be a tough challenge for him to overcome but hopefully he'll prove to the critics and many people out there that he can make it on his own without any 50 or G-Unit association.

I'm a R&B head too, but Jamie's album is really lazy and mediocre. The songs are somewhat catchy, but he should of put more emotion and covered more topics other than sex ont the album. I think "Do What It Do" should be the next single

I have his CD. I just haven't heard it, but I hope that it is not too provocative because I'm not feeling that at all. It would be frustrating if all of the songs are too sexual, but the market calls for that anyway, though so Jamie will be fine. I just hope that he picks something sensible and commercial because the wrong single can definitely stifle any momentum the CD has been generating/experiencing.

I think "Do What It Do" should be the next single Lazy? Mediocre? Not IMO. The only problem I have is the poor writing on "Three Letter Word", and "Warm Bed". But Do What It Do is my favorite song from the album, but I don't think it should be the next single, maybe the third. "DJ Play A Love Song" should be the next single. I said it before, and I'll say it again. There was not a better male R&B album in the last year, IMO.

There album was okay, but it wasn't that much competition. Jamie has a nice voice, but I really don't understand why he didn't go the John Legen/Alicia Keys route. Hopefully, the next album he will sing some more love songs and actually plays the piano.

There was not a better male R&B album in the last year, IMO. Charlie Wilson - Charlie Last Name Wilson Dwele - Some Kinda Once again.. I said IMO = In My Opinion. Neither of those albums are better than Unpredictable. They both speak on more situations, but Unpredictable sounds as if it was a 2006 "1996" album. It reminds me on how well R&B was in the 90's.. and it's a breath of fresh air. But I don't think Jamie should of went the Alicia Keys or John Legend route because it's not "him". It would be like making him into something he wasn't. I agree that he should widen his range of subject next album... that is the primary problem with this album -- it's not perfect. But it's one of the best I've heard for a while. Especially since the "Confessions" era.

50 sold 5M and had way bigger hits. Vanilla Ice has sold more than Common. Quality and quantity are two different things. Who would you say has more skills?

^^^^^Son u have weird taste, whats next Ashanti is a Platinum Diva? This is all in my opinion. Don't judge my taste for R&B music. I'm not the only one who thinks Bobby V or Jamie's album is the best or one of the best albums in the last year. Nor do I think Ashanti is a Platinum diva, once again.. this is all in my opinion.
