Is this a Dr. Luke/Max Martin production? It's possible they may have 4 songs in the top 10 of the Hot 100 soon enough, between this California Gurls, Magic by BoB and Dynamite by Taio Cruz.

I don't think this song sounds like anything...and I think it's going to explode and be a near-future #1 song. Prediction: Katy will OWN everyone with her Teenage Dream era.

I must admit.. As much as I love CG, I think this song is a lot better. I think it might have surpassed WUIV as my favorite Katy songg

GaGa. Telephone & Bad Romance were in the Top 5 together from 2/21/10 to 3/14/10. So 4 weeks total.

Go Kathy! Ha Ha:) Its all my bad:) I am not sure why I keep getting her name spelled wrongly??? I think most likely I am really getting excited for and about her It has been a loooong while after Madonna since I feel this way again Ya - I believe TD will shoot up all the way to the top of the chart :) It's that kind of music which will never grow old and leave you wanting for more....

This is doing really fantastic and deservingly so. I now understand how incredible the song really is. It's beyond refreshing too. It's not ultra repetitive like most of the CHR fodder we've been introduced to in the past few years.

i kinda created a domino effect at work with this song. The 2nd day it came out i went to a couple girls at work and played it for them. (because i hear everything first, lol). They loved it, downloaded it, told who they knew, now it's basically spreading like fire throughout my work. It's really going to explode if you ask me...

Well it is called Female Pop VOCAL Performance...in which case I cannot see her deserving it.
One could say the same about one of my faves, but her awards perfs don't sound nearly as good as her concert perfs which I quite like (or the studio versions of her songs), while I haven't really heard Katy sound like a good singer before.

it grew on you huh. Explain the feeling once it happened if you don't mind. That 'shaky-groovy' feeling is a hell of a drug, huh? At first it was like a mild tingle in my extremities and groin; eventually the warmth enveloped my entire body and an intense feeling of euphoria flooded my brain. I was telling everyone I loved them and offering massages free of charge. Then I rewinded & hit repeat - over and over until the sun came up and spoiled everything. [/img]
