Am I the only one that thinks this sounds a bit like My life would Suck ?? Yes... you are the only one. I don't think it sounds like it. And I like this song a lot more than MLWSWY. I would say that this song kinda sounds like 'Walking on Snow' though. |

I think the beginning is most like Since U Been Gone, but that's it. And instrumentally, the chorus is reminiscent of "Circus"

It's usually impossible for me on songs I love to pinpoint my exact favorite spot, but with this one I can: the "No regrets...just love" line. That's what hooked me when I first heard it, and still does. And that was even true BEFORE the 'Third Listen Drug Effect' took hold  |

personally, I love the verses just like the other parts of the song, I find the beginning to be pretty epic when she goes "you think I'm pretty without any makeup on, you think I'm funny when I tell the punchline wrong..." +2 I also love that bridge "get your heart racing in my skin tight jeans..." For me this song is kinds epic! |

actually this is the twin to CG. originality is long gone for katy perry. that doesn't mean she won't be able to score hits, though.
imo, TD is a mix of E.T. and CG.

Wow - I am starting to fall in love with Kathy big time!!!! :) This song really KILLs over time!!!
During her previous era, she captured my attention and I like everything about her - even her voice (IMO, I am of the opinion that she could blossom into a a good singer given time and nurturing).
I used to think that Rihana reigns supereme over the current crop of young female pop singers/artists such as Lady GaGa, Kesha, Miley Cyrus & Taylor Swift - but her current album clearly shows that she has not improved at all in every aspect - singing, performance, personality. It could be due to her 'emotional' scar over her ex-boyfriend, but I really got the vibe that she is not really into it at all! Me think that she has become a caricature of her previous glorious self! Sad :(
On the other hand, Kathy has actually improved all over :) I really think that her live performances of Califorania Gurls are pretty tight! She has shown her ability to control her vocal instrument (both technically and emotionally) and make it work for her! Congrats Kathy:) You are the rightful heir of Madonna!!!!
