I heard this for the first time on Friday when I actually listened to the radio (I usually don't). I really like this. It just instantly clicked. This is quickly becoming my favorite single from her.

It was kind of off but atleast she can see what to change from now on....I think maybe a backing track for some parts would help. I enjoyed it though

I suppose, since it was her first live performance of the song, I should give her some slack, but that was horrible. She sounded and looked a mess without any stage presence. She improved with Cali Gurls, so hopefully the same will happen here.

That wasn't her first live performance of it. The LQ audio of the song from a few months ago was of a live performance.

After reading some of the comments here and around other places, I was expecting the performance to be terrible. Maybe it was just the lowered expectations, but I actually enjoyed it. I mean, it was far from perfect but it's not like Katy has ever been known for her amazing vocal prowess.

I think this might be my favorite Katy Perry single, now.

Really? I don't know. Those vocals in the first verse were pretty painful in parts. Second verse wasn't that bad since it was layered with a track. She never really hit the note going into the chorus ("will be young for-e-ver") or even attempted either of the held out notes at the end of the song. I suppose I'm being pretty critical lol, but she is capable of better. Might have just been nerves being the first time she's performed it on TV. I'm sure over time she'll find the right groove.

Well if it got better after that first verse I wouldn't know. I couldn't get that far. The first verse was enough to make me shut it off.. and to me it was horrible.

I'm not the only one who thinks so. Apparently the LA Times agrees with me.

She isn't a great singer, but I do like her voice and give her kudos for singing live.

These big stages are not always set up for a good live performance. Thats too bad... but we know from prior artists, that live performances don't always matter much.

That was a trainwreck with big T. You could read it on her face she knows it sounds terrible. Oh well, it's awesome on radio tough. She need a backing track through the whole thing or lip synch this, the song is totally out of her range. Seriously, this was pretty bad.
