There is something about this song and the vid that just are not clicking for me. Might be the tempo, not sure.. As far as the vid goes. Cute guy, everything starts to get steamy, but the song just sort of plugs along. IDK.

I hoped for fun, cute, & summery, which is what the "official lyrics video" seemed to promise.
I got boring in the car/beach/gym scenes & trashy tackiness in the motel scenes, and the look that I hoped would come off retro just looked cheap.

I'm probably wrong, but I took it to be a flashback of when she saw him for the first time and vice versa. Notice how they made Katy look really, really young in that scene. |

I like the whole natural and carefree look of Katy in this video. Its not glitzy or anything. Just normal. And she still looks hot as fuck.

What's weird about it? Last week the song was knocking out +300s, this week it's getting in +150-200s. Of course the bullet would be dropping - it's not gaining as many spins as it was the previous week.  |
