^yeah, Enchanted sounds really really fairytale-ish. And whenever I hear that I think of the disney movie! Mean sounds like it could be interesting if it does have prominent banjo and fiddles...

Enchanted (the title) reminds me of Disney
I'm glad they didn't choose it as the title. Out of the tracklist, I think Back To December would have been a really good title.

Submissions for Grammys:
Record Of The Year - "Mine" Song Of The Year - "Mine" Best Female Country Vocal Performance - "Mine" Best Country Song - "Mine"
I doubt she'll win any of these or even make the nomination list with two (Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year), but it'd be nice to garner two nominations in the country category (not that it really matters as I think it's Miranda's year).

Must-read article for any Taylor Swift fan Taylor Swift: The Billboard Cover StoryReally long article but worth ploughing through for the topics discussed: 1) the writing process for the album 2)how they had a last minute change for the album name, 3)addresses the weight of expectations sales-wise for the new album 4)how Taylor acknowledges and deals with her detractors and backlash 5)how Taylor came to write "Innocent" and why she chose to perform it at the VMAs 6)Taylor and her producer's perspective on straddling the Pop-Country divide when it came to the new album and 7) which song on the new album is Taylor's most "country" song ever. Among other things.... Here's the cover of the issue that contains this article in case anyone was interested.

Taylor Swift wants wedding theme in 2011 concerts, plans world tour Friday, October 15, 2010 Posted by Corinne Heller at 12:44:52 PM PDT Taylor Swift plans to tour the world and wants her 2011 concerts to have a wedding theme. Although no dates have been announced, Swift, who is set to release her third studio album, Speak Now, on October 25, told Billboard magazine she has "drawings in my journal of what the stage should look like." Her music video for her recent single "Mine" contains a wedding scene. "I want there to be an entire wedding scene on the stage," the 20-year-old singer said. "It's very weird. I'm not really that girl who dreams about her wedding day. It just seems like the idealistic, happy-ever-after. It's funny that my wedding references have all been like 'Marry me, Juliet,' and on my Speak Now album I'm ripping one to shreds." Asked if she planned to act again after appearing on the series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and in the film Valentine's Day, which also starred her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner of the Twilight vampire movie series, Swift said: "At the moment, I've just made space for putting out an album and then touring the world." www.ontheredcarpet.com/2010/10/taylor-swift-wants-wedding-theme-in-2011-concerts-plans-to-tour-the-world.html

Really random, but here's artwork (if anyone wants to use) I made for the live version of "Innocent" on my iTunes. The text on the bottom just acts as space filler, so ignore the lyrical flow.

"Fifteen" was an incredible video, and I would love to see it get nominated, but idk how likely that really is...
Haha and TWAFT has zero chance at song of the year.

Taylor Swift: Glee's Next Guest Star? Taylor Swiftâs jam-packed schedule might be getting even busier! The 20-year-old country star recently revealed she has been in talks with the Glee camp and would be open to the idea of having her songs featured on the hit Fox show. âThere have been conversations,â she tells Zap2It. âAnd when those happen with all these new opportunities, it usually comes down to scheduling. Iâm a huge fan of the show, and I think it showcases music in a great way, so I would be really excited if anything were to happen there.â Meanwhile, Taylor is set to kick off a bi-coastal launch for her new album, Speak Now, out October 25! Taylor's Producer Nathan Chapman provides insights into the recording of Taylor's latest album Speak Now. Lee alumnus Nathan Chapman previews new Taylor Swift album From left, producers Scott Borchetta and Nathan Chapman along with Taylor Swift pose with the Album of the Year award at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 5, 2009. (AP Photo/Jae C. Hong) Excerpts : Chapman calls âSpeak Nowâ the ânext logical stepâ in Swiftâs musical growth.âThis CD is more about where she is in life now. Sheâs maturing as a person and songwriter,â Chapman said in a phone interview from his Nashville-area home.âThe consistency between âFearlessâ and âSpeak Nowâ is that she has always been writing about what sheâs feeling at the moment. Itâs similar to âFearlessâ in that she is being transparent and very real in her lyrics. But where she is in life now is different.â In March, the country music industry officially recognized âFearlessâ as the most awarded album in the history of country music. It is the only album to win the Grammyâs all-genre Album of The Year, plus Country Album of the Year honors from the Grammys, Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music and the American Music Awards. He met his future wife, Stephanie, while on a Lee cross-cultural trip to Normandy.âShe ended up at a publishing company where Taylor was co-writing with different people,â which is how he met the future country phenom. Neither he nor Swift had ever made a record when the two paired for her debut CD.Why take a chance on an unknown, who was then a teenager, for his first producing gig? âIâd known Taylor for a couple of years and really loved her songs and dug her as an artist. We really hit it off on all those levels. She basically gave me my first shot,â he said. The pair recorded her original songs in the basement studio of his home.Swift has said in interviews that sheâd walk into sessions with two dozen or more songs, and Chapman would help her narrow the choices for the album tracks. He said his song-selection formula was: the staying power of the lyrics plus how their selections merged as a cohesive body of work.âSometimes you like a song, but that song will wane in appeal over time. Itâs usually a combination of a gut feeling about a song and how that song appeals the more time passes,â he explained.âMy role as producer is to help her get her ideas out. She may have a particular kind of guitar sound in mind; sheâll describe it to me, and Iâll help her realize that. âWeâd figure out together even what tempo the songs should be. Those little details seem kind of small after the album is finished, but at the time those are big decisions. I help her sort through what she is trying to accomplish.â Full Article : Time Free Press

"Enchanted" would've been an awful title. I'm kinda disappointed that Taylor didn't see that herself. And needed to be told that she needed to move away from the high school/fairytale stuff a little bit. I've always thought that one of Taylor's best strengths is how smart and media-savvy she is. But that title would've been way too self-indulgent. But the cover shot now makes more sense. She must've had that idea in her head since she wanted "Enchanted" as the title. Because it doesn't fit with the more grown up, "Speak Now" theme at all. Wish Scott could've talked her out of that one too... Shouldn't previews for the whole album be out already? like on amazon or something? Previews for "Fearless" weren't up until 6 days before it came out. And I'm not even sure we'll get them that early for SN. Since part of the countdown schedule is the interview/preview of "Story of Us" on the 22nd. So we might not get previews for the rest of the album until after that.

It was disappointing to find out that Taylor had to be told to move away from all of the fairytale/high school stuff. I like the title "Speak Now" but "Enchanted" on the other hand is just awful and doesn't sound like an album title at all. As you pointed out though, the album cover seems to still be catering to the image she had going on during Fearless. I wish they would have picked a different picture for the album cover, she had so many shots that look better and are more grown up. Really anticipating the previews though! LMAO, that cover is amazing! From that song, I'm expecting something sassy, and one of those 'oh, no, she didn't' moments her dad (or manager, can't remember) promised we would have on the album...

Clip of Mean:
You with your switching sides You have pointed out my flaws I walk with my head down trying... I just wanna feel okay I bet you got pushed around Somebody made you cold But the cycle ends right now and you dont know what you do
Someday I'll be living in a big old city And all you're ever gonna be is mean Some day I'll be big enough so you cant hit me And all you're ever gonna be is mean Why you gotta be so mean?
