Barry has released his mashup of "holiday" and "Alejandro." I haven't listened since I can't stand gaga but I'm sure he did a great job.

It's cute. The Dave Aude mixes had that "Holiday" sound to them in certain parts. I feel that the Madonna vocals are just a little too wet and reverbed. It would sound fine on a big sound system though.

Heard it out tonight. How long is it? Seems loooooooooong The full thing is 12:30 long. I am planning to make an edit which keep just the Madonna parts later today. |

I'm glad this was finally done! That remix reminded me so much of Holiday the first time I heard it. Could use a little "tightening up" though, it does stretch on a bit long.

Yesterday I did a somewhat shorter re-edit for my gig tonite: www.yousendit.com/download/K0JRY051cTI3N0R2Wmc9PQ which tightens up the intro & outro plus completely reverses the order of the 2 songs. Now ya got the Alejandro sung first, and THEN the Holiday parts. This is an amazin mashup in so many ways, and HOW JEALOUS am I that Mr. Harris has not only all the acapella parts for Holiday but also the production stems, all the instrumental tracks seperated out, etc?!?! Lord knows what else WB gave him when he was with Thunderpuss. This was a brilliant idea for a mashup and executed VERY well. |
