What I'm not understanding is why does radio respond more favorably to veteran R&B male singers than female R&B singers. Regular, Hip-Hop Urban stations are already spinning this. Now, I understand it might not blow up and become a break-away hit, but the fact that these stations are taking a chance with this material frustrates me. They can play Prince or Charlie Wilson, but when it comes to women like Aretha or Patti, they won't even take a chance on their new material.

The famous Isley Brothers, who are celebrating five full decades in the music business with their upcoming album Baby Makin' Music, are Going For Adds at radio with "Just Came Here to Chill," the lead single from the project. The album marks the group's first album on Def Soul and will hit store shelves on March 7. Baby Makin' Music also features the producing talents of Jermaine Dupri, Tim & Bob and Manuel Seal Jr. As for "Chill," the song was produced by Troy Taylor, who has worked with such standouts as Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, Trey Songz and Yolanda Adams.
