Let me clear up a few misconceptions about this chart. All I had to do was email Big Champagne.
This chart is 100% American. The data is American. They have the technology to identify who is consuming the media. To me, that's more of a privacy issue than anything else, but I digress. Also, traditional forms of consumption like radio audience measurement and sales is also factored into the tabulation.
The streaming video/audio consumption data for Waka Waka in the US has been phenomenal.
They are also considering incorporating P2P data in the future, but that is of course, controversial.

Surprised it is only US data. I'd love to know how their point assessment system work, though.
1. LTWYL: Sales - 100 Watching & Listening - 14 Broadcast - 14 Fans, Friends & Followers - 57 Ultimate Score - 100
2. CG: Sales - 40 Watching & Listening - 45 Broadcast - 50 Fans, Friends & Followers - 61 Ultimate Score - 57
4. Waka Waka: Sales - 6 Watching & Listening - 100 Broadcast - 1 Fans, Friends & Followers - 7 Ultimate Score - 48
I imagine LTWYL had the best sales for the given week and everything else is ranked based on that. They also give weights to each category, probably.

Could it be more that people want to see the video than care about the actual song? The video is less Shakira eye candy than previous videos, so I doubt that is it. BC should breakdown the numbers. Transparency is important.

I'm surprised its an American chart, but Its nice to see that interest in a Shakira song is that high in the US. Radio should have given the song at least a few spins.
