Finally went out of my way to hear this after seeing it in the top 50 these last few weeks. It's quite good and not the type of indie song I was expecting to hear from a band that I hadn't heard of. I really don't know what to compare it to, but maybe given the way the piano is used, a slightly lighter Dropping Daylight?

This is getting a some serious play on my station. It's grown on me quite a bit. I can't really think of anything to compare it to either, but it's rather interesting.

I don't remember it too well off the top of my head, the 2-3 times I've streamed it from All Access, but I remember this reminding me of a mellower version of Cold, I think because of the singer's voice.

I think it's worth documenting that nearly everyday since July 25, this song has been floating around the bottom part of the top 50 of alternative, and it's bulleted again despite having fewer spins than when it first entered the chart:
48 48 A SILENT FILM You Will Leave A Mar... 142 134 8 0.553

...but a fairly larger audience. I'd say it's a fair trade!

This shows how much I've been paying attention to the bottom rungs of the Alt chart... this song has been bouncing around since July? Ju-f**king-ly?! Amazing. And since we've talked about its chart run: (Entered 7/25/10) 48-47-45-42-44-41-41-45-46-46-50-47-48-48-47-43-48-off-49-off-off-49-49-off-48-off-off-50-off (this week) 22 weeks on with a peak of #41, and five chart runs (a debut and four re-entries, with its first re-entry assuring it hit every position between #41 and #50). I'm glad I finally paid attention the fourth fifth time around, because the song is great. The first thing I thought of when hearing this is Straylight Run's "Existentialism On Prom Night".

The first thing I thought of when hearing this is Straylight Run's "Existentialism On Prom Night". Straylight Run meets Keane and The Acceptance (anyone remember them from 6 or so years ago?) is what this reminds me of. It took me only until the 3rd chart run to check this out, so I have you beat by two charts runs. (July? Jeez, I knew this had been hanging around for awhile, but I've been subconsciously under the impression that it first entered in October or so.)

Straylight Run meets Keane and The Acceptance (anyone remember them from 6 or so years ago?) You mean "Different"? Yeah, I remember that. This shows how much I've been paying attention to the bottom rungs of the Alt chart... this song has been bouncing around since July? Ju-f**king-ly?! Amazing. That's nothing. This album was originally released in the UK October 2008.
