Eminem probably isn't even an appropriate example of someone who's past his peak. His career is like a valley range, and he already has scaled his highest peak, but he has reached the summit of another impressive peak altitude-wise. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus Sarcasm bew. I was actually trying to say the song itself was a success mostly because Eminem is still a consistent seller, digitally and physical wise. Defintely not on the decline. Having Rihanna furthered the song to become the hit it is now xoxo, Lock<3 I still think it was more Eminem than Rihanna than furthered the song commercially. Eminem was due for a comeback when he wanted it, and though Rihanna has remained viable commercially, she nonetheless has declined significantly in terms of airplay since the "Good Girl Gone Bad" era. Rihanna deserves credit for sure, but it was more Eminem that made this become a hit. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus

Paul Grein (Yahoo Chart Watch blog) also gave us sales figures for Physical copies sold of 3 Britney Spears songs
Baby One More Time: 1,411,000. Stronger: 407K. From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart: 775K
Couple weeks ago, he revealed the digital sales of two of these songs
Baby One More Time: 352K Stronger : 189K
So in the USA, ...Baby One More Time has sold 1,765,000 singles and Stronger is at 596k when you combine physical/digital single sales...not bad at all! Also, expect "...Baby One More Time" to see a huge sales increase since the song will be featured on the Glee episode.

Not a very interesting chart. But next week seems it should have a ton of shakeups. Wayne, Nelly, Bruno, Bob>Bob, Katy Perry's new one, & probably a really big drop for my current fave song. It's okay though; Taylor's legit singles tend to go down before going big again, like YBWM which started no. 12 & eventually went no. 2.
