I don't know that this is a single at all. I think the album's not gonna release until 2011 from what I heard, so I think this is just a "we're still alive" sort of thing.

You were right the first time. 'Daylight' isn't an official single per se, it's really only being tested at the radio stations in Sacramento. You won't see it on any fmqb ads pages. If it happens to spread from there via word of mouth, I'm sure the band will be ecstatic, but it's not being sent anywhere else that I'm aware of. From what I've heard, the band isn't planning an album release until next spring (around April).

Hmm. This band had a gold album. Who knew? Yep, "Why I'm Here" got to #3 on Active and #13 on Alternative when the follow up single "I Walk Alone" did decently on both back in 1999. Back when most people couldn't download albums, so like myself, they went out and bought "February Son." I still listen to it occasionally and still think it's a great album. "Are You There?," the first single off of their next album 'Champion" did pretty well also.

I'm still a huge "Are You There?" fan. I always thought it was funny that their two biggest singles were "Why I'm Here" and "Are You There?" like the latter was a response of sorts to the former.

Ha, I never realized that before. "Are You There?" is probably my favorite single of their's. Maybe tied with "I Walk Alone." I've never been a huge fan of "Why I'm Here." I remember "Stupid" being played on an old Active Rock station that doesn't exist anymore. They have some great album tracks on "February Son" including a cover of "Boys Don't Cry." Damn, I have to listen to this album again at work tomorrow after thinking about all this.

Unlike Pen, I wasn't a huge fan of the single "Hands Off The Wheel", but I'm glad that the song got some radio play because it allowed me to become aware that they had a new album out, and 'Joyride' is very likely my favorite of the three albums I'm familiar with (I haven't heard their debut from before February Son). "Fountain & Vine" and "Runaway Train" are my two favorite Oleander tracks, and they are both off 'Joyride'.
Can "Daylight" be heard anywhere right now? I wanna check this song out.
