Lead single from their upcoming album, "Cardiology".
Probably done on rock radio, but you never know. This is really poppy which doesn't help.

Meh. How old are these guys now? Just kind of seems silly at this point to write songs like these. I liked their last album just because it did have some decent songs on it and I liked that they're unafraid to display their pop tendencies openly, but they can't all be winners.

This could be a hit. It seems like Good Charlotte does best when you don' t really expect it.

This song is fun, catchy and stands up to repeated listens. Therefore, it will be utterly ignored by alternative radio.

I felt like puking for the first 30 seconds of the intro, but overall, I don't think it's a bad song at all. Definitely catchy. I really don't understand the band's description of this at all. This sounds nothing like blink-182, and it has all the dance/pop tendencies that the last album had.

Debated starting a topic for this, but didn't, since it's not going for adds on Alternative that I can see. Unfortunate that their career has stagnated to the point where they don't have any bright touring options other than to play support slots for lame new-generation bands they influenced. So much for this album "sounding alot more like blink-182" I really don't understand the band's description of this at all. This sounds nothing like blink-182, and it has all the dance/pop tendencies that the last album had. Yeah, but how long ago did they make that "blink-182" reference? Like a year or two ago? I think they scrapped a whole album's worth of stuff in the meantime. I love me some Good Charlotte (everything since their mediocre first album). This song was a little underwhelming and would've been toward the back of my favorite songs had it been on the last album. I will say I'm very much relieved that it wasn't thematically related to the now-cliche phrase populated first by Luke's (2 Live Crew's Luther Campbell) "It's Your Birthday" and then again by 50 Cent's "In Da Club." Still very much anticipating Cardiology and can't wait to finally have it in my hot little hands this fall. (Jesus, it's November now?) Kind of odd that they're all going for that "seasoned punk lifer" look now, with three of them having grown facial hair for these newest promo pics. Especially Billy, who cut his hair and is wearing a cocked ballcap now. Just a little jarring, since he and Paul always looked so awkward before.

It's now Top 50 on CHR, and doing nothing anywhere else - I guess Good Charlotte is now completely pop
Weird how they got their big break from Alternative radio

Alt radio was different then. This would sound natural with some old Limp Bizkit and Fall Out Boy.

No.
Spin Doctors = Fad Hanson = Fad A Flock of Seagulls = Fad
U2 = Era Beatles = Era
Fall Out Boy was relevant for about 3 years. Limp Bizkit about 5.

What we're discussing right now is subjective and if we discuss it further it's likely to get offensive, so I will just add that when I say era, I am not referring to a particular band, but a genre of music of which Limp Bizkit and Fall Out Boy were a part.

U2 spanned several different eras of rock IMO - so did the Beatles
Agree with pen that Limp Bizkit and Fall Out Boy were part of two separate eras in Alternative radio - by the time Alt. was playing Fall Out Boy and Good Charlotte, most stations were over the late 90s rap-rock phase
