This is a terrible choice imo. Not because of the song itself necessarily, but there’s so many better options. This also sounds similar to “You Should Probably Leave”, but in every inferior way possible. “The Bottom”, “The Day I Die”, “Higher” and “What Am I Gonna Do” all would have been better choices for radio.

Not my favorite on the album but it seems to be doing well streaming wise. Feels like it’ll be another smash. Don’t think anything else on the album is a sure fire smash besides maybe What Am I Gonna Do.

Wow, I guess this really means "White Horse" is going to miss #1. I was still holding out hope it would go for another week and somehow dethrone the Nate Smith song that just won't die. Crazy that it's going to go down as a #2 peak, blocked by a song that wasn't anywhere near as big of a hit by a way lesser known name.

This just feels like a song that is gonna connect really well, but I wouldn't be shocked if it is polarizing with radio and dies out in the 20s or the teens due to how well it is connecting. This song feels like one that the general public likes but won't translate to radio.

Really hope this does well. Not my favorite on the album but it’s still really good.

Great choice. Hope this does really well for Chris. “White Horse” should’ve been a #1, so hopefully this one will.

This also sounds similar to “You Should Probably Leave”, but in every inferior way possible. I listened to this for the first time just now, and this was my first thought. I loved that song (and "White Horse" even more) but this is just background noise. I have a hard time thinking he didn't have some stronger choices on the record.

Is this one starting to stall? I'm really curious because I know chart runs are long, but it seems like this just isn't finding traction. Would be very weird to see radio give him his first flop. It's strange because this one has amazing streaming numbers.

Hit top 10 (#9) on iTunes all-genre after ACM Awards. Didn't even perform that well immediately after (was below Dirt Cheap for a while), but the publicity must have caught up (and deservingly so).

Not sure what’s the hold up with the remix not being out yet. It should’ve dropped on Friday following the performance. Some of my friends were clamoring about the performance and a bit frustrated the only way we could listen to it was to put on YouTube.

The quote from the article doesn’t specify that it’s a version of this song, though. All rather odd/ vague. “Plus, the pair are planning to release a collaboration together very soon, sources on site at the awards at Ford Theater at the Star in Frisco, Texas, tell Billboard.”

This might finally be moving now, up 49-45* this week. I’m surprised at how slowly this has been taking off though, and imagine it may end up because a softer hit for Chris.

Chris Stapleton is no radio darling You have to love random comments. What does that mean? Not sure what about this was random? kluen was just stating that that Stapleton rarely flies up the radio charts despite being a superstar in every other regard after the slow pace of this song on radio was brought up. Unless you were confused by the phrase "radio darling", which just means someone who is beloved by radio. Despite radio rarely sending his songs up the charts quickly, he's had a pretty consistent record (outside of "Joy of My Life" which was a horrible single choice) dating back to "Broken Halos" though. So most of his singles eventually work their way up to the top 2 since his breakthrough.

I'm loving the version of this song that was performed on the ACM Awards. Before the Chris/Dua version was released I liked this song but didn't really find it single-worthy or anywhere near Chris' best work. The live performance elevates it so much!

Chris Stapleton is played on the radio all the time where I live. I took the remark "no radio darling" as being that radio never played his songs. I apologize to kluen for not knowing their response was just regarding this song not moving fast up the chart.
