Lily has a few new songs up on her Myspace page. I have not listened to "I Don't Know" or "I Could Say" enough to have a firm opinion of them yet.

LOVE the demos.....it sorta reminds me of the stuff from Madonna's Ray of Light album. Although, I DON'T think she should have released the demos because they are so good and BOTH (esp the first one) could be 1st single material, you know.
I think she dyed her hair blond for the song I don't know...maybe she's trying to mimick typical BLOND Hollywood, or something. ANYWAY, I CAN'T WAIT for this album to come out! GONNA BE GREAT! :)

Is she gonna work with Mark? I heard some things a few months ago that she didn't enlist him? Anyway I hope her next album would be great as well.

I love the new songs and it reflects a different side of her that is less silly, however that silliness did receive alot of attention that set her apart. I hope in the future the public will accept her as a legitimate singer too.

Lily Allen Calls Drunken Behavior 'Embarrassing' By Christina Tapper People Magazine Originally posted Wednesday June 04, 2008 01:20 PM EDT Lily Allen is expressing remorse for a drunken night that required her brother help her home. In a blog entry on her official MySpace page posted Wednesday, Allen, 23, says she feels "awful" for being "very drunk" at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London. "Last time I wrote here, I was defending my honor and dignity, explaining my innocence and also outrage at the press for insinuating my behavior was embarrassing," she wrote, referring to being criticized for topless photos. "This time I'm putting my hands up, I got very drunk last night, too drunk. It's not cool getting that drunk." The "Smile" singer, donning hot pink hair, won the editor's special prize for her multi-faceted career, before being carried out of the ceremony. Allen thanked her younger brother, Alfie for coming to the rescue and helping her arrive home safely. She also warned readers about the effects of drinking too much, but said the event was "fun." "Kids, drink responsibly or you'll end up looking like this, not pretty!," Allen wrote. "Was quite fun though, from what I can remember."

She has a song called "GWB (f**k You Very Much)" floating around. I LOVE that song. she doesn't get enough credit for just about anything music related, esp her lyrics.. they're right on the money. based on the 3 songs we've heard so far I highly anticipate her new album :o

Lily finishes albumLily Allen has finished her new album, revealing she is "really happy" with it. The pop starlet was speaking from the Glastonbury Festival this weekend, where she played two songs with Mark Ronson on Sunday afternoon. Lily took the opportunity to tell reporters work is now complete on the follow-up to 2006's breakthrough "Alright, Still". She explained: "I'm pretty much sure it's finished and I've got a meeting on Tuesday with the label, I'm really happy". Allen also told the BBC that she is not concerned about the reaction to the new material from her record company. She said: "As much as I love them they're just people who give you a loan. I'm not scared of my label." uk.news.launch.yahoo.com/dyna/article.html?a=/080630/340/i2l1y.html&e=l_news_dm

Lily Allen finishes recording second albumby Rachel Webster Lily Allen, 23-year-old Britpop starlet and Paste 4 to Watch alumna, has reportedly finished recording the tracks for her second album. The project, tentatively titled Stuck On The Naughty Step according to a recent issue of Rolling Stone, is Allen’s follow-up to her 2006 debut, Alright, Still. “I’m pretty much sure it’s finished and I’ve got a meeting on Tuesday with the label, I’m really happy,” Allen told BBC Newsbeat. Following Alright, Still’s international success, you might think Allen would be feeling a little sophomore pressure from her record label. According to a recent Newsbeat interview, though, that's not the case. “As much as I love them they’re just people who give you a loan,” Allen said of her label, Parlophone. “I’m not scared of my label.” Release dates and track listings have yet to be announced for the new record. Aside from working on her solo disc, Allen has also spent some time recording with Jamie Reynolds, singer of Klaxons. The two are working on a yet-to-be-finished new song. “We’ve put a bit of work and we’re getting somewhere near a flow," Reynolds told Newsbeat. "It’s going alright, we go in on Tuesday to do the second session on it. We’ve got another two weeks to hopefully come up with something." www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2008/06/lily-allen-finishes-recording-second-album.html
