Ugh. I'm not crazy about this song. It's nice, but I'm not addicted to it.

I hope this is a HAC single, or at least I hope they send it to HAC. I don't see it taking off here but maybe it can be a HAC hit. I've kinda lost any faith in Jive to get him a radio hit though if they couldn't even get SBL to do anything. Still no official label confirmation that this is even a single though. Hopefully they can at least manage to put this one on All Access.

He says it was released yesterday? Oh great. So radios already have it.

I don't like this at all. They should've just saved Zero Gravity for this album.

I don't like this at all. They should've just saved Zero Gravity for this album. Not with the production it had. I like the song but the production sucked. That said, I do like Elevator.

Something Bout Love >>>>> Zero Gravity.
He's obviously going in a more Hot AC direction with this album anyway, IDK why they haven't tried to get him on that format. Oh wait, yes I do. Because they're Jive.

Ugh, I was never a big fan of Zero Gravity, then it came out and the production sucked but now it's totally last year. Elevator has a good enough hook. I don't see it as HAC, I see it more as CHR, even though the production isn't that great. Who produced it? But it all depends on the promo Jive does. They need to do more than what they did with SBL. The album is coming fast.

Mike Krompass, who is a terrible producer. I wish he would stick to writing. He was the one who produced Zero Gravity.

Thanks. I've heard of his name in the David's threads, but I'm not sure I'm familiar with his work.
Has anyone listened to Elevator on the radio yet? It has had spins...

I heard it when WPRO 'premiered' it a few weeks ago.

I found "Something 'Bout Love" to be much better than this and I didn't particularly love SBL. This song just annoys me and the chorus is really, really terrible. I can't take it seriously.
:\ I don't even think it really sounds like an HAC song, either.

It could do good on Pop. I'm obsessed with this song atm.

It already premiered on 92-PRO-FM. I don't like it. :(

The thing is I think it could do good in Pop if the people at Jive would get off their asses and promote it.

I like the song. It gets stuck in my head. Moreso than SBL, or Crush, or any other song he's put out, Elevator gets stuck in my head. And it's not necessarily my favorite, even if I like it. I haven't even listened to it much. So it's got the hook going for it. I can't stand Ridin' Solo - I think it's a hideous song - yet it gets stuck in my head. In the end, that's really what counts, not whether you listen to it and immediately like it (well, label promo counts for more - you can have a completely sucky, terrible, awful song, but if the label promos it to death it can hit).

I still shudder when it comes on the radio. Jive just needs to actually PUSH whatever they send to radio. It could be the most perfect song in the world, and if they dont do squat its not gonna do squat either.

OMG and Ridin' Solo were sure-fire pop hits though. This is kind of a risk. I hope it pays off but with Jive I'm not so sure. Once again, I still think they should start with HAC.

It's a decent song, but it sounds incredibly dated. Maybe it could have been a hit in the late 90's, but it won't be now.

So apparently the version on that mediabase link is a ripped mp3 from WPRO's premiere of the song. Wut? Why would that be on mediabase? There's even a Horton's ad at the end from the original broadcast. Apparently that mp3 is the demo version of song. I listened to the version playing on WXLK and it sounds fuller, with more stuff going on during the chorus. I'm not sure that will change anybody's mind about the song, but for informational purposes, that mp3 isn't the final version of the song.

When Sara B and Natasha B have problems entering Top40 ( which looks more like a private club for a few singers, with so little doors opened for new artists or even established artists) what David should do? Have fun and sing a song he likes. Good for him! :)

Verses are mediocre but I like the chorus. I honestly don't think that this song will do anything for him though.
