I don't even think this will get top 5. Probably like a #8 debut. Not too bad, all things considered.
I wonder where Adam's will debut. I'm just happy this is selling more than Adam's. Lord knows how much drama that would've caused.

Heartless sales > No Boundaries > Mad world
Not sure which will debut higher, NB or Heartless.

I'm still hoping for #6! lol I really hope the gaining airplay & performances this week propel the song to the top 5. Doubt it, but hopefully.

What things considered? All things considered, a non top 5 debut is not exactly good.
This is the best cheesy coronation song in years
I think Adam will have more songs charting in the HOT100, that will cause drama.

According to this article: www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5iZs8h6fW44nKcg90ABYjAc4Z61dQD98E19F80"Heartless" did debut higher than "No Boundaries" on iTunes. Still have to wait to see what happens with the Hot 100. 4. "Heartless (American Idol Studio Version)," Kris Allen 5. "No Boundaries," Kris Allen

112 AC (+11)
151 HAC (+19)
4 Country (=)
2 Rhythmic (=)
3.005 million AIs (+0.237)
Aside: Remains at #28 on AC and should crack the top 50 on HAC tomorrow.

BTW, "No Boundaries" has Kris listed under JIVE on mediabase adds. I didn't expect that since Kris is slightly older than the artists Jive tends to sign. But they have branched out from straight pop and R&B lately (mostly with female artists though). And Kris is more pop than he is anything else, so I guess it makes sense.
Not official yet since no announcement has been made, but I don't see why NB would be listed under Jive/19/JLG on mediabase if there wasn't something to it.

I saw that, too, soundscene. Allaccess had both Kris and Adam under RCA. Much as I kind of wonder about Jive for Kris, I do rather hope that they aren't on the same label. The fanwar stuff this year is ugly enough without them sharing a label.

^haha yeah maybe they should. I also think it helps that he's extremely likeable and has a good personality. He's my favorite idol winner in a long time. And I'm a huge Adam fan btw.

Does All Access just copy info from Mediabase? Because when you check the adds for NB on AA it lists Jive there.

Kris going to Jive us excellent news! I'm glad that he and Adam are not on the same label. With different labels, it will give them both the chance to be promoted as a top priority artist by their own labels. :)

Kris brings so much to Jive's table.
They need someone in the league of Jason Mraz and John Mayer.

Kris brings so much to Jive's table. They need someone in the league of Jason Mraz and John Mayer. And in 5 years he may be there, but I don't think Kris is there yet. I liked a couple of Kris's pre-Idol songs but they weren't Mraz or Mayer-level stuff. Kris has always reminded me more of Jon McLaughlin and Eric Hutchinson than Jason Mraz or John Mayer. I do think it's better Kris goes with Jive. Even though Jive is cheap as all get-out, they stick with their artists. They spend less so their artists don't have to sell as much. 19 will pick up a lot of the "promote Kris" slack, so hopefully 19 will treat him well. And Jive sometimes does let new artists have a lot of input on their first albums, but I've only really ever seen it with their lesser-known artists. People like Amie Miriello, who I suppose would be the same style as Kris, only female. Jive doesn't have a lot riding on Amie's success--not like they will with Kris, so I'm not sure how much creative input he'll have. Especially since the album will be rushed. Jive isn't perfect--it makes strange choices and it makes mistakes--but all labels suck in one way or another. Jive sucks less than others. lol.

Well to be fair, his pre-Idol songs were recorded sometime in 2006/2007 & was released in early 2007. Surely he has grown a bit as an artist since then. I agree that he's not at John Mayer level yet, but I just think he needs guidance & the right material. He's already stated that he may not want to use any of his older material (that he's written, but hasn't recorded) because that's in the past. So he may be aware of that fact already. I agree with you on the Jive subject.

Sorry to ask this but i dunno where i can squeez this question.. anyways How do i live is sung by 2 artist i think in 1997 or 98 by two artist (trisha and Le ann) . Did CHR have this song in their charts at the same time. Does CHR radios favor one song over the other to play on their rotation? because its like what happening here between Adam and Kris and most likely most stations favors the Kris version ofcourse his the winner.
