That's actually good. Most holiday albums that drop in fall don't start out selling well but start selling much better once the holiday season comes around.
Josh Groban's 'Noel' was released on October 9, 2007 and it's sales steadily increased as the christmas season approached. It actually sold about 3.6 million copies in the 11 weeks leading up to the christmas season (spent 4 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200, a record for a christmas album!). It's now certified 5x platinum!
But, that's also because he's Josh Groban and he had a few radio hits from the album

"It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas" and "This Christmas" will be bonus tracks according to a Kat fan that has contact w/Kat Team.
No word yet which retailer will have the bonus tracks.

A msg from Kat
"Christmas really is my favorite time of year. I know these songs so well. These are the songs I listened to growing up. Hopefully you will find my versions unique but at the same time timeless; full and rich yet simple and intimate." :)

I can't believe this is Top 500 with no promotion at all. I really hope this album does really well for her!

Kat's vocal is pure perfect. :) A CD that would make a awesome Christmas gift to give to friends and family. What an exciting way to introduce Katharine to ppl. Think I have already completed my Christmas shopping.

I dont get how David Foster is a big Mcphee "fan" and yet didn't sign her or producer her new album? Although, he's done it before. lol Cause you don't mix business and pleasure. ;)

Sounds beautiful and simple and Christmasy. The way I had hoped it would sound. Hopefully this is a decent hit for her.

Yes indeed Kat's Christmas CD is timeless, full and rich. Her vocals are superior. Every family will love playing her Christmas music during the Christmas holiday. A timeless classic in the making.
Favorites are many but these 3 song stood out for me
Have a Yourself a Merry Christmas It's Not Christmas Without You (Kat wrote) Who Would Imagine a King

I wish this would leak, even though it's only a few days early. I don't mind illegal downloading artists that I'll be purchasing for sure the minute it's available.

First review of Kat's christmas album. Positive :)
AllMusic site
"Arriving nine months after Katharine McPhee’s 2010 bleached-blonde AAA makeover Unbroken, Christmas Is the Time to Say I Love You finds McPhee going back to her roots, returning to her brunette locks and reviving the show-stopping theatrics that made her a star on American Idol. Christmas Is the Time is an old-fashioned holiday record through and through, from the reliance on standards to the soft, roomy arrangements that allow plenty of space for McPhee to hit her high notes, all without drawing too much attention to herself. It’s a setting well suited for McPhee’s strengths, and song for song, this may be her strongest album: she does well by the standards, and the pop songs -- including “It’s Not Christmas Without You” and the title track originally sung by Billy Squier -- are good adult contemporary numbers. The album is simple and lean, not intent on making McPhee into a chart star, benefiting from a seasonal formula that allows her to simply sing like she did when she was on Idol.

Great article. From the clips we've heard, I'd say that's about accurate!

Glad the wait is almost over!
PS - I think the digital album on Amazon will be $6.99!
PPS - I want her luscious locks back! Hope she gets some extensions for promotion time.

Looks like iTunes is selling the CIATTSILY for $8.99 and as an 'Unbroken' deluxe version where you get both albums for $9.99 total. Not a bad idea.
