I kind of love that performance of Crying. It's all... weird... but I love it.

I kind of love that performance of Crying. It's all... weird... but I love it. I did not like last night's Opry performances vocally- she sounds much better in concert than last night, which sounded unusually nasal. I don't think she is under the weather because 'Casanova' was pretty good, but I can't be certain. I also just listened to 'Crying' from last night and it was just off from the arrangement to the vocals to the falsetto. Her American Idol version was flawless- MUCH better vocally and technically, not to mention it was a few steps higher:

........She didn't perform "Crying" last night. It was the American Idol version aired during the intermission.

Opry radio aired Carrie's AI first Opry performance of "Crying" during the intermission. Carrie did not perform "Crying" last night.

Opry radio aired Carrie's AI "Crying" performance during the intermission. Carrie did not perform "Crying" last night. Last night's versions was not the AI version of 'Crying'. First, it was several steps lower than the Idol version. Last night's version had the Orbison falsetto, which Clive criticized her for NOT doing on Idol.....

NVM. It was "Crying" from Carrie's very first Opry appearance. Point still remains, she didn't perform it last night.
And, I don't hold the Opry stream with much esteem. Everything sounds choppy.

It wasn't the choppiness that I noticed (it sounded pretty clear to me). Rather, Carrie sound stuffed up or nasal last night, especially noticeable during 'Temporary Home' ("at night", "baby girl", "someday", "rooms", "passing through", "home", etc.) and 'Quitter'.

LOL. Okay. I don't think the Opry stream is up to standards, and I certainly wouldn't be meticulously analyzing any of the performances featured. But, you do you.

Okay, let me clear it a bit up. The cap from last night is the hq version of the one originally aired back in 2005 after she won idol. This is her first song even sung at the Opry. Thus, she's a bit nervous and still coming off of idol, I would presume she's trying to be pitch perfect. I wouldn't even be surprised with her hectic shedule after AI that she may have been under the weather as well.

I thought her performance of "TH" at the opry the other night was the best she's ever sounded.

Looks like Carrie's show in Vegas at the Mirage is a Vitamin Water sponsored event. I wonder if Kelly Clarkson was part of that too? Is she still affiliated with Vitamin Water?

I didn't even know Carrie was still partnered(?) with Vitamin Water? So is her tour sponsored by Vitamin Water or Olay? And what about Pedigree?

Vinman, Carrie will be on the Big Dan and Bubba show tomorrow!
Tweet: bull929: CARRIE UNDERWOOD is tomorrow's morning show guest with @bigdandbubba
^^Maybe both, or all 3? not sure. lol Carrie still has Vitamin Water very clearly on her Fanclub homepage, so I bet Olay will be added soon. Maybe Pedigree was a spring leg of the tour gig? not sure if it is continuing into the Fall tour.

I was laughing so hard by the end of the interview, with the whole inappropriate question!! She handled it with such class, and in a way, so did they, after the faux pas!! www.wsix.com/pages/bigdandbubba.html

I really like Carrie's version of What Child Is This. It's haunting. Also, I thought she was pretty good at the Opry. Can't wait for the Mama's Song video.

Carrie Underwood's Mom (and Hubby) Cameo in New Music VideoCarrie Underwood's latest music video may look a little bit like a family home video. That's because it stars her mother Carole and new husband Mike Fisher. The country singer, 27, enlisted her loved ones for the "Mama's Song" video, which premieres on Friday. The tune, off 2009's Play On, is about leaving the nest and finding the man of her dreams. "[Mike's] not 'in' it but you can tell it's him," Underwood tells PEOPLE about the hockey player's cameo. "He hung out with my mom [on set] and he's great with her." The lyrics for the song reference her upbringing – and her newlywed status. "Mama you taught me to do the right things / So now you have to let your baby fly," she sings. "And I know you watch me grow up and always want what's best for me / And I think I found the answer to your prayers / And he is good, so good / He treats your little girl like a real man should." What was the best part of making the video, which filmed in August? "Just seeing [Mike] in my world was sweet," she says. • Reporting by EILEEN FINAN

I love how they're trying to hype up this release. I also like how we're finally getting more of an online push for Carrie. I thought that with the Wal-Mart Soundcheck, this would be an era where Carrie posted a lot of exclusive online performances (AOL Sessions, Clear Channel, etc.) but that wasn't the case. This is a step in the right direction.
