Damn it, I'm blocked and can't see the video! I guess I'm going to have to fly to the U.S. to see it. Flight leaves tomorrow In the meantime, is there any link for the video that can be accessed by international viewers? Pretty please!

I loved that. Simple, yet highly effective. They haven't played 'round with the videos this era (excluding UI).

I liked the Mama's Song music video. But at first I was hoping for more action. I watched it a second time, and then I really got it. (I'm slow. Haha) It's sweet. Carrie's Mom is good at playing Carrie's Mom! I also like the fact that it took place after the wedding as they were about to go on the plane to their honeymoon i'm guessing...It's like after everything died down after the big reception and it was just Carrie and her Mom talking. So sweet! I also love that last shot of Carrie when she's about to walk on the plane and she looks back! She is soooo gorgeous! One thing I wish for for Carrie's next video is for something less simple. I think that the simple treatment did work for Temporary Home, and Mama's song both because they are more toned down and soft...But I just prefer videos with more to them. Nothing against TH and MS, because their videos fit the song very well. I just want something that will be unexpected...

What a great video, easily one of Carrie's best. The fact that it's autobiographical makes it THAT much better. It just feels real. She looks gorgeous and so does Carole. As someone said above, it was Carole's time to shine, and that she did! Bravo, fantastic way to solidify this as a single. In other words, this song is much stronger having an excellent video to go with it, in my opinion.

I love the personal aspect of the video. It was just enough to really make an impact. I think it is very well done and even shed a tear watching it...I'm a sap I guess! lol
ETA: I loved the car scenes with Mike. So sweet and real. She really looks extra gorgeous in this as well. I didn't want this to be the next single at all but I'm glad they picked it. SWISLY wouldn't have made sense in the personal aspect of her life right now.....

It was beautifully. Simple and emotional, which is the way it should be. Kudos to Shaun Silva for doing it the way it should be done. I was very iffy about this being the next single, but I think after seeing this video it was perfect.

^ Jeff I defintely still think it was a terrible mistake for this song to be a single. lol But the video makes me like it much more. I do love her live performances as the piano playing and photos in the background help capture the emotion, live.
I think Saun Silva did a nice job capturing the essence of the song, and it is very sweet & simple. I don't think he could have done anymore with this song as the song itself is the problem, not the video. lol
But the video does make me like the song a wee bit more, so I think it served its purpose. :)
I love that Mike was sort of in the background holding the door for her. That was a nice touch.
I do hope that Saun Silva works with Carrie again for a more substantive song, so he can show what he really can do when he has more to work with. The truth is, this is the best we can hope for to fit this song. So I can only imagine what he can do when he gets a better song to work with. :)

No. I like the song. I would have preferred SWISLY, but because of her recent marriage, this song fits right in with her real life. Having seen the video, I'm sure every parent will be touched by it. jmo

I love the video, beautifully made and it just goes to show how perfectly it fits into Carrie's life right now, it all just felt so real. Great acting from Carrie's mom too, guess it's not really acting though considering she's "playing" Carrie's mother...

A rent-a-mom couldn't have done as well as Carole did. The emotion was real and you could feel it. I'm sure Carrie is very proud of how she did.

I always loved this song as a single, and the video only made me like it even more. It's beautiful from every perspective, and ngl, the subject is so beautiful. I hope one day I have the chance to say this 'not in the exact words' to my parents, lol.

perezhilton.com/2010-09-24-carrie_underwood_mamas_song_music_video#comment-5354881Perez posted the video and liked it! He found the song itself dull, but at least he liked the video. lol ^ I agree that Carrie's Mama did a great job of acting in the video. My favorite part was at the very end when Carrie stepped on the plane, looked back at her Mom with teary eyes, and Carole was also tearing up, in sync. It was a really sweet moment.

Forbes Magazine List of American Idol Top Earners for 2010 www.associatedcontent.com/article/5448856/forbes_magazine_list_of_american_idol.htmlCarrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson Top the List Again "At the end of May, Forbes Magazine announces its many lists of top paid performers, musicians, entertainers, business executives and sport figures. Here are their picks for the Top Earning American Idol Contestants for 2010. One look at this list shows that a quality singer does not need to win on American Idol to make the most money. 1. Carrie Underwood - $13M Carrie Underwood took first place again on the 2010 list with earnings of $13 million. This is reportedly $1 million less than her 2009 total earnings. Ever since she won American Idol in the fourth season, Carrie Underwood has won four Grammy Awards, 14 Billboard Music Awards and five American Music Awards. With the help of concert appearance and television specials, she has sold over 9.6 million records; a huge accomplishment for a waitress from Oklahoma." That sales number is too low though, based off a Billboard released today, www.billboard.com/#/column/chartbeat/ask-billboard-small-screen-big-hits-1004116813.story?page=2Here is an updated look at the "American Idol" contestants with the most U.S. album sales to-date, according to Nielsen SoundScan. As you note, Underwood's "Some Hearts" is the best-selling set by an "Idol" contestant, with sales of 7,023,000 since its release in 2005. Total U.S. Album Sales, Artist 11,886,000, Carrie Underwood10,621,000, Kelly Clarkson 5,898,000, Daughtry (Chris Daughtry) 4,973,000, Clay Aiken 2,555,000, Fantasia 2,551,000, Ruben Studdard 1,313,000, David Cook 1,299,000, Kellie Pickler 1,265,000, Jordin Sparks 973,000, David Archuleta
