A 3:53 radio edit of this song was just sent out to radio. That's not the most interesting thing though. The radio edit was released not by Curb, but by Reprise Records. Could this mean that Tim has finally gotten away from Curb?

Could this mean that Tim has finally gotten away from Curb? Very interesting indeed. Although if he does move to WB/Reprise, that may mean more sappy Tim/Faith collaborations, which i could live without, but anything that gets him out from underneath Curb's thumb is a good thing.

I don't want to dampen a possible celebration (especially because I haven't been following this situation too closely), but is it possible this song is going to promoted to the pop or dance formats? A number of Curb artists (including LeAnn Rimes, Sixpence None the Richer, and Kimberley Locke) have had singles promoted to the pop and/or dance formats and were listed as Curb/Reprise releases. There is a long history of collaboration between Curb and Warner Bros. Records (Reprise is a Warner Bros. imprint), so I'm not convinced that Tim moving over to Reprise would free him from Mike Curb altogether.

Has anyone heard the new edit to know if it sounds, pop, dance or anything not country?

I agree with mairy that this is the most likely scenario. I just listened to the edit, and it's the same as the country radio edit except it fades out a few seconds earlier. There was no information about what format this new edit was being sent out to, so no help there either.
