The Beyonce Experience goes so damn HARD! Her best tour by far and farther. The idea of the I Am Tour seemed good on paper but didn't translate well into reality. It was far too sporadic and it almost felt as though each song she performed was like 50 seconds long (way too rushed). I'm SO glad I saw the Beyonce experience live

RÉV0LUTI0N, I'ma hurt yew for putting your Bey credits on my gifs. LOL. Ahhh just got the Roseland DVD! Finna watch and I'll give my review either later tonight or tomorrow morning RE: TBE vs IAT I would side with yoKC simply because the I Am Tour performances shat on the TBE tour tbh. Both were amazing but I think she improved a lot over that tour. I would choose I Am...Yours over both though just because of the personal touch. anyways brb, gawn watch my shit now xoxo

The Beyonce Experience is light years better than the I Am Tour DVD IMO. The editing and cross-cutting on that one was a mess. Not to mention the setlist was better on TBE. The I Am... Yours Wynn DVD was better than the I Am Tour DVD also IMO. The production was better on the I Am DVD, Beyonce looked twice as good as she did on the Beyonce Experience DVD, the filming is better, her dancing is better, the vocals are better, swag was harder. I'm sick of these clowns, they soft. I'mma let Freakum Dress finish them off. Compared to: Everything is on a different level on the I Am Tour DVD. Not only that but Beyonce is twice the performer. There's just no question about it for me, and it's highlighted no better than in these two performance.

How are y'all geting the Roseland DVD already ??? Amazon says it's not available til the 29th. Y'all bootleg ??? I see it's not available on Blu-Ray. Hmm, not here for regular DVDs. Hopefully, Best Buy or some other retailer will have a Blu-Ray exclusive.

Rather Die Young and I Miss You are my new songs from this cd. Rather Die Young is a masterpiece, definitely my favorite from the album. In my mind I could only imagine how amazing of a video it could of had. I love 4, such a great album through and through. It's made me into a fan and not just someone who likes a handful of her songs from her other albums. Same here, Elle. Her debut, I liked the singles, and her other collabo with Jay-Z,"That's How You Like It" B'Day: Kitty Kat, Green Light & Deja Vu...and Irreplaceable(the production is catchy) I Am:Hmm. Diva, Ego,Video Phone, SIngle Ladies. Im not a fan of ballads so didn't listen to em 4: Just about the whole thing.

It's not being advertised in the circulars (which I presume they will start doing Friday) or as a big new release, so I don't think they expect much people to know about it. Anyways, it's really good overall, the highlights for me were I Care (the intro is epic), I Was Here, EOT, Survivor (clips of DC reacting to getting their "Survivor" being #1 is pretty amazing) Countdown and Party. The editing is flawless as per usual and even though we've seen a lot of the clips interspersed within the performances in the "Year Of 4" special, there's new narratives that go along with them.

The Roseland DVD was fine. Just a little disappointed the first half was regurgitated from the I Am Yours DVD, which I already have.

The Dance For You video was AWESOME but, I absolutely hate it. I can't believe Beyonce would have such a meaningful/sensual song and turn herself into a historic racial prostitute in the video. Extremely disappointed in her for that one.
Honestly, I'm offended. With all her female empowerment stances, Beyonce should know better and understand her influence on young women, especially young women of color. I hope I can still enjoy the song without a mental reference to that video.

"pop feminism", if you will. and while she is definitely more conscientious than most of her contemporaries, at the end of the day, i'm pretty sure her thought process revolved around "film noir and "femme fatale." is this video truly any more offensive than her grinding on jay-z in [choose your favorite bey/jay-z collaboration] or splashing around in a big martini glass in "naughty girl"?

Lol I knew this was coming and like I told Mario earlier, I expect a similar backlash/controversy/discussion to ensue on the internet. I love the video personally but the racial undertones are evident, and even though I take it as Bey playing a role (set in the 20's/30's), I know how surface-level the media thinks and will attack. The thing is, even if the guy was black, people would have still had a problem with it because of the fact that she's dancing for a man. Which is what the song is about...and I don't think there's nothing at all wrong with that...

I love the video. I don't curr what they sayyyy
And please the song is about dancing for a man. She just chose to portray a character in a different era for the video. I don't think there's anything in the video that suggests Beyoncé approves prostitution and female submission. She's just playing a role as if it were a movie.

I enjoyed the video, partially because it's my favorite from "4", but also because everything in the video was executed in good taste.
The black & white filming, wardrobe, choreography....it works for me.

As for what Sony needs to do:
- Adds date for 'Countdown' at Urban and 'Party' at Rhythmic and Urban AC. - 2012 release of 'End of Time'. Urban and Rhythmic first, then Pop. - '1+1' to Urban AC after 'Love On Top' is done smashing.
Then the era will be concluded. I predict album sales will top out at 1.3-4 million.

Which is what the song is about...and I don't think there's nothing at all wrong with that... Indeed. I suppose my issue is that aside from the fact that D4Y is my 2nd favorite song off of 4 (after Start Over), I'm just confused as to how the video relates to the songs lyrics. Going off the song, one is led to assume that she is in an in-depth relationship with her man/boyfriend/husband and is professing her love for him through dance, which is perfectly understandable. But, I'm just unable to believe how, historically, she would be able to accomplish that in this setting. Of course, Bey has done provocative/sexual videos before, so that's not my main issue. However, historically, this video leads me to assume that she is a mistress or prostitute because, during the time period, interracial couples were not generally accepted. To me, it almost seems as if she's accepting that historical fact as something that was OK and as a representation of love. But, like I said, the video is awesome because it was pretty much perfectly shot and edited. The message does irk me, though because she had the power to create anything she wanted to relay and choose her 'role,' and with her (along with a few other superstars) I do believe it's time to start stepping up socially. Regardless, this remains my top Beyonce era because of the content and growth that is evident in the songs, at least.

Read the rest of the lyrics please where she sings 'this is beyond sex' or 'how much I value what you say' or 'I really care about your heart' or 'emphasize that love that's in between...' Like the rest of 4, it's obvious that this song has more meaning than just having sex or dancing.

Oh please it's just a video! No one says anything about the pole dancers in all of the club videos. She is just seducing a man with her dancing. I don't see the big deal.

The issue is gonna be that she dances for a WHITE man. We do not live in the stone ages anymore. Please remove you & your superficial idears from outta here I personally enjoyed the video. She may get bashed for the simple fact a black man wasn't in the video, but that's too cliché. Bey & her people knew exactly what they were doing while filming this; to stir up some controversy to attract people to the video.

It was obviously set in the 20s/30s or something. As a multiracial man of color, I do not accept the notion of that 'it's just a video' when a woman of color is being sexually exploited during a time when it was unacceptable to even be seen in public while engaging in a biracial relationship. During that time, women of color were seen as sexual objects as opposed to human beings worthy of a meaningful relationship. That was my immediate interpretation of video, and I personally don't agree with it. Likewise, you (and anyone else) are entitled to your view as well.
