Yeah... aside from 'I'm Yours' Mraz hasn't been really big on CHR so I don't expect this song to do anything. The Remedy peaked at #7 CHR, with a really long chart run

So Lee was supposed to debut Live It Up on Ryan Seacrest's radio show tomorrow.
Now, out of the blue, he just announced that the debut single won't be Live It Up, but a song called Sweet Serendipity -- which is NOT one of the songs that had been made available to reviewers to preview. Supposedly, he will still be debuting the single on Ryan's show tomorrow (around 8:15 a.m.)
But why the last-second change? My guess (and it is just a guess, no factual evidence) is that Live It Up might not have tested well and/or got poor feedback from PDs?

I would tend to agree with that assessment, but the question is did they test SS as well. Maybe it's a cathy pop song instead of a HAC song.

Oh, my least favorite word in the English language. It probably has too many syllables for pop radio.

Title is cute, ill hold judgement until I hear it tomorrow. Also, Live It Up (single) will probably leak in the next few days as well since they sent it out to PD's to listen to, and im sure it will get leaked somewhere by accident.

It's such an ugly word. It doesn't even have respectable origins. Some fool made it up.

Just heard this on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.
I actually LOVED it. Lee sounds great and it's very catchy and uplifting. Probably one of the stronger debut singles from an Idol winner. Obviously nothing groundbreaking but it's undeniably solid. I can see it fitting well into pop/AC radio.

I like it too!!! The chorus is very catchy! it could be a hit imo. ETA: The chorus is awesome actually. Really really good choice for a first single. ETA 2: i don't know what and why, but there's something about this song that reminds me of LLWD. Maybe the wordiness? - looking forward to hear it LIVE!

I think it's better than LLWD and might actually do something. If RCA push it, I think it can reach the top 20.

I think is kind of boring. His vocals are good; however, the song is just how should I put it, bland.

I'm not a fan but this is a good single choice and I could see this getting to top 20 as well. Good for him.

Wow, they totally buried his voice, which is a good thing. Good luck to Lee singing this live. I'm not a fan of the song, but it makes me wonder what the first one sounded like in order to switch it to this one.

SS's is an all-out pop song - and I don't think it speaks volumes about LW as a singer who has just won a singing contest. Yes - I agreed it has certain hooks and I would actually listen to it and all that but ....... IMHO it just doesn't showcase him as an artist with substance. He sounds pretty ' John Mrazish' in this song - which is not a good thing in terms of carving out a unique brand name out there in the music world...
I do believe this would make some inroads into pop/hot ac/ac/alternative territories though - for this is a cute little song which is easy on the ears and would sound good on the radio. But I would say it would not the definitive hit that LD (and his label) is seeking for ... but it should pave the way for some success for him

This song is pretty catchy. :) I don't think it's as good as LLWD but it's good enough that I'd buy a copy when it's out on iTunes.

It's not bad! I like it. It's just too bad the song title is what it is and the word is used nonsensically in the song.

There are not a lot of pop songs that showcase singer's singing ability. There are actually singers like Gaga and Ke$ha whose voices are better than what they would seem to be, but they've sacrificed releasing vocally strong songs in order to achieve a certain style. Nobody who is buying or playing pop music is judging the songs based on the vocals. I don't think this song is better than LLWD, mainly because the chorus isn't strong enough or memorable, like LLWD's.

I really like this song! Doesn't sound at all like Lee to me though, I would never have guessed it was him if this came on the radio. Hope it does well!

it's ok. I guess when I'm in the mood to listen to this type of music, I just prefer to listen to John Mayer or Mraz. so if I hear a song like this, it really has to have like an it-factor about it to get me to pay attention, like The Script hooked me with "Breakeven." I don't get it-factor from this so ehhhh.

It's alright. I could see this doing moderately well on CHR, but I wouldn't expect anything higher than Top 15 at best. I never really liked him on Idol and I think it will remain that way.

It's rather generic but that was to be expected. If RCA really pushes it, it could do something - on it's own, it's definitely not strong enough to break the dance-pop trend of CHR at the moment.
