Very glad Miranda won her first Grammy, and she couldn't have deserved it more for the amazing THTBM. Also, her performance was great. <3

Amazing night for Lady Antebellum. I never expected them to win AOTY so I'm not upset about it. They really did have an amazing year deserved all of their awards tonight. Congrats! I disagree. Revolution and The House That Built Me were clearly more deserving of the awards. I really don't see how anyone could think otherwise. I guess popularity won over quality, which is a shame.

Seeing as how quality is purely subjective, many times popularity is the only comparison between singles and albums. NYN sold more albums, more digital singles, had more songs hit #1 and more weeks at #1. In the case of album and song, the voters could very well be people who aren't familiar with country music in general and knew Need You Now from pop/AC/country etc. Many times this is the type of album/song that wins.

I'd like to congratulate Keith Urban for winning Best Male Country Vocal performance for the 4th time! So glad the Grammys appreciate his many talents!
By the way, the tribute Keith, John Mayer, and Norah Jones sang for Dolly's achievement award (they sang a short version of Jolene) was a BIG hit -- several critics were calling it the best performance of the night. It really was special -- the harmonies and the acoustic guitars -- so beautiful!

Well, maybe Keith Urban, John Mayer, and Norah Jones could get their record companies together and release Jolene (a studio version, maybe) as a single.
