Florence + the Machine or Drake. Bieber's nomination is a joke. This, although I do like Sigh No More.

Either Florence or Mumford & Sons
This is a really weak list though IMO - actually think Bieber is the only one who could potentially still be around 5 years from now

Florence and Mumford & Sons will still be around, selling albums and making new music (although it might not be as mainstream as they are now). As for Drake & Bieber, as they grow older, their fans will too, and soon they may not have half as many fans or sell as much albums as they do now. As for the jazz singer, she'll probably consisting sell well throughout the years to come too.

By my count...
Justin Bieber - 2 nominations Drake - 4 nominations Florence + The Machine - 1 nomination Mumford & Sons - 2 nominations Esperanza Spaulding - 1 nomination
Funny that B.o.B. has 5 nominations, including Record of the Year (and Best Rap Song, where Drake got snubbed) yet couldn't secure the BNA nod.
Also the second year in a row where none of the BNA nominees have no other general nominations.

Did Florence have a top 10 hit? jw Got to #12 on Alternative....which may be considered her main format. Florence ftw.

Wow I had no idea that Billboard didn't have a Triple A chart - it's a radio format that basically plays lighter Alternative and singer/songwriter/guitarist-types, and it's got stations in a lot of big markets - I'd actually say that right now, it's probably just as popular as Alternative in terms of ratings There's a Triple A station in New York City - WRXP (101.9 I think)

I'm just wondering how common it is for someone to win Best New Artist off only one hit - I just have this gut feeling that Justin Beiber's gonna win
Also not sure why Bruno Mars didn't qualify - he'd get my vote

The overwhelming vote for Florence here only shows Pulse's bias towards female artists. There's a chance she'll win but her percentage of votes here is ridiculous.

Honestly though...I didn't like Florence at first. After hearing "Lungs", I can say it's an amazing album. Drumming Song is too fucking good and she has a fantastic voice.

I'm hopeing it's either Drake or Florence. Both artists have made a big enough mark to get it.

With all the buzz right now, I'm thinking it might be a win for Mumford & Sons (I think they've come a long way since the nominations came out - not sure when the actual final voting happened though)

Only 1 person, or 1% of the voters correctly guessed Esperanza as the Best New Artist, the least of any of the nominees for this poll.

So much for relevance. It's winners like this that the AMAs are becoming more popular. Even Bieber deserved it more.
