Come on Gaga, bring some rock back in Pop/rock to CHR. I'm counting on you! Seriously very excited to hear what she's done! :) No, I hope she keeps the pop/dance elements alive and reinvents the sound this year once again! :) Where will the announcement be made on New Year's Eve? her web site? Twitter?

Twitter? Definitely keep the pop/dance beats but add some guitars on some tracks. Like Speechless was trying to go, but just better ;) Not that I don't love Speechless, but it just missed the mark recorded and is much better live. For me of course, YMMV. Yes, I know Speechless is not uptempo, but it's the best comparison I could come up with.

I hope this is good-part of me thinks it will disappoint just because her first two projects were so good, but another part of me thinks its GAGA and she doesn't disappoint

I don't think she'll be able to top "Bad Romance" for me, but this should be very interesting.

I'm expecting this to sound exactly like the first two records, not that that's a bad thing at all. She has alraedy hit her peak. I don't think she will be as popular with this album. So, someone who works at GaGa's company is also using my hairdresser and she told her that they haven't chosen the album cover yet. And that the artwork will probably be a naked photo of GaGa. I hope she's right.
Anyway, I can't wait to hear the title track! It must really empowering! Have the lyrics leaked?

'Born This Way' sounds like a flop. #sry2say Considering she sang the song A CAPELLA I don't think you have any idea how its going to smash (if it even is the first single). I remember when she performed Bad Romance live for the first time it was slow and didn't sound like a hit. i think he was judging it by the name

Britney was still extremely big with her 2nd album era. I think Gaga may also follow Britney's trend. This is exactly what's going to happen, again, not that that's a bad thing at all. For the older folks (those whose older memories go beyond Britney ;) ), I'm a bit concerned about Gaga repeating 80s history and being Cyndi Lauper Part II. She was a MEGA star that achieved popular and critical success with her "She's So Unusual" era. And although many people would say it was a 1-CD era, it's important to remember that SSO was almost a compilation of hits from a span of 3 years from several artists -including Prince- with the input of Cyndi. SSO made Cyndi a unique Pop artist before Madonna was big and before Madonna was considered as a respectable and unique artist. Cyndi had quality music, great videos, 5 Hot 100 Top 10s in a row as a debut artist (something that had not happened before). She had an image that was followed by several women and girls at that time. It was left-field maybe even ridiculous for people at that time, but it made a statement. Cyndi was also vocal and careless at that time. And she produced quality music from 1983-1987. 6 SSO singles + The Goonies [R Good Enough] dominated airwaves. However, the follow-up project which was expected to be at least as good as SSO was a bit of a let-down. True Colors was a big hit, but Change of Heart did not live to the expectations. Neither any of the follow-up singles from True Colors. And her image started to feel gimmicky and stale. Some saw evolution in some tracks but staleness in others. Her song "Hole In My Heart (All the Way to China)" almost put the nail in the coffin, along with her role in Vibes, and when "I Drove All Night" came, despite being a hit, it showed that Cyndi was more a thing of the past, a nice souvenir from the 80s but far from relevant. In the meantime, Madonna had grown by leaps and bounds and she stole the star from Cyndi from True Blue on. I wonder if history might repeat again --or not. It is all up to Lady Gaga, and I hope she is capable of evolving the right way. I'm looking forward to her new album and being positively surprised with her evolution -beyond the freak factor- to ensure that indeed Gaga is on the path to become the new Madonna -or simply the first Gaga ;)

I think the evolution between The Fame and The Fame Monster marked her taking creative control and it worked, but will her music finally match her image? Her image seems to be far more developed than her music. If she brings up the music each time and keeps the imagery fresh which hopefully won't dry up, we are in for something special. She has used so many ideas in videos so where she goes next is anyone's guess.

I feel as though Katy Perry is the new Cyndi Lauper, not GaGa.

for those of you interested, Lady Gaga holds the #7 #8 and #9 spot on The United World Chart's 2010 year-end list with: #7 Bad Romance #8 Telephone #9 Alejandro quite impressive.
