^^^ Here, here! I have never been able to stress it enough either! To me Alison has the best female voice in music and I would love to someday hear her sing with who I think has the best male voice in music: James Otto. :)

Lionel Richie's Country Duets Album Nearing Completion
Producer Tony Brown says he's almost completed recording Lionel Richie's album of duets with country artists. So far done are "Stuck on You" (with Darius Rucker), "Sail On" (Tim McGraw), "Lady" (Kenny Rogers), "Easy" (Willie Nelson), "Deep River Woman" (Little Big Town), "You Are" (Blake Shelton) and "All Night Long" (Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band). Still to do are recordings with Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland and the Zac Brown Band. "We're having a blast," Brown tells CMT.com. "Lionel is the coolest fun guy, and he's blown away by the musicians here." Brown estimates the album will be out this summer.

I really do like Josh's voice too, but it's not quite as good as Charles' voice, at least in my opinion. Both great singers, though.

Maybe Josh Kelley can join Lady Antebellum and Charles Kelley can be a solo artist. Just sayin'. I wonder early on if they ever considered being a duo together. According to the bio sent with the promo album, they were in a duo as teenagers and had some local radio success and even were offered a management/record deal but passed when the manager (James Brown's manager) wanted to change 'em. The duo was called "Inside Blue." JHomes, Charles has a 'deeper, huskier' sound while Josh can sing a bit higher in the register but on "Great Idea" from the "Georgia Clay" album I hear a similar tone.

Show Dog-Universal's Toby Keith will release the music video collection 10 March 8. "Should've Been A Cowboy," "Courtesy Of The Red, White And Blue (The Angry American)," "I Love This Bar" and "American Ride" are among the, you guessed it, 10 videos featured on the DVD.

Dierks Bentley Returns to Studio - Watch Live Online!Multiple GRAMMY nominee Dierks Bentley will move into a recording studio in Asheville, NC next week to record his sixth Capitol Nashville studio album. Bentley has spent the last four months writing hundreds of songs for the new project, and he’ll once again team up with award winning producer Jon Randall Stewart and recording engineer Gary Paczosa. Country radio can expect a brand new single from Bentley in the Spring with the album following closely behind. Beginning Sun., Jan. 30, fans will be able to “big brother” the entire recording experience from the studio through a live video feed 24 hours a day on www.dierks.com. “I’ve been writing and re-writing and tweaking songs for the past four months to get ready for the studio,” says Bentley. “I usually come home from the road and go right into the studio, so I’ve never put this much time into prepping and doing pre-production on songs. I learned from my experience recording Ridge that getting out of Nashville and away from the business side of things can be really inspiring. I’ve got the best musicians in the world, and we’re going to go hunker down for a few weeks and live and breathe this record. I thought it would be cool to let the fans be part of the whole experience, so we’re going to let them watch as it all goes down.” In addition to adding the studio cam to his website, Bentley is currently planning a complete relaunch of www.dierks.com in March. Fans have already noticed the new dbtv video player on the site and temporarily discounted fan club memberships. For more information and upcoming tour dates, visit www.dierks.com. Source: Capitol Nashville Facebook Bryan Releases 3rd Spring Break EPLuke Bryan will release his third Spring Break themed EP, Spring Break 3…It’s A Shore Thing, on March 1, 2011. His third annual spring break show is set for March 8 and 9 at Spinnaker’s Beach Club in Panama City, FL. The EP features four never-before-released songs co-written by Bryan, “If You Ain’t Here To Party,” “Faded Away,” “Love In A College Town,” and the title track “It’s A Shore Thing.” Bryan released his first Spring Break With All My Friends EP in 2009 followed by last year’s Spring Break 2…Hangover Edition. “Are you kidding me? This is one of my favorite times of the year,” exclaimed Bryan. “I get to let loose, write new songs that are a little out of the box, play on the beach for 2 days and have fun with the fans during one of the best times of their lives!” Source: Music Row FALL 2011Stealing Angels TBA(Skyville Records / Sony Music Nashville) Source: Music Row >> Steve Earle is set to release I’ll Never Get Out Of This World Alive April 26 via New West Records. The 11-track set was produced by T Bone Burnett. (Source: Music Row) Some info abot Josh Kelley's album: Josh Kelley’s country debut will be released March 22 on MCA Nashville. The lead single and title track “Georgia Clay” is at radio now. He and brother Charles Kelley wrote the song about their youth, with help from Josh’s producer, Clint Lagerberg. Among other tracks on the album will be “Raining Whiskey” (“It’s hard staying dry when it’s raining whiskey), “Naleigh Moon” about his daughter with actress Katherine Heigl, and “Baby Blue Eyes,” which he co-wrote with Lee Brice.

Brad Paisley"This Is Country Music"(April 19) One of the chart-topping hits from his last album was titled "Welcome to the Future." But the Country Music Assn.'s reigning entertainer of the year Brad Paisley decided to take a look back while crafting his new album, "This Is Country Music." "I'm trying to do something brand-new, utilizing the influences who made me who I am as a country artist," Paisley says. "Some of them, surprisingly, are not necessarily right within country music, but they're more important to the modern incarnation than you might think. We're supposed to have Don Henley on a track." Henley is slated to contribute background vocals on "Love Her Like She's Leaving.""It feels like something that either he would have written or the Eagles would have done," says Paisley, who has also recruited Sheryl Crow, Marty Stuart, Carl Jackson, Clint Eastwood and Alabama's Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook for guest appearances. Eastwood whistles on an instrumental track appropriately titled "Eastwood." Crow, Stuart and Jackson add harmonies to the gospel classic "Life's Railway to Heaven." It's the first song Paisley ever sang (at age 9) in church. Alabama, suitably, appears on the song "Old Alabama.""This Is Country Music" is the album's lead single, currently No. 10 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. As a Christmas gift to fans, Paisley offered a free download of the song for one week in December. Consumers who preorder the album on Paisley's website will get access to exclusive content, including video messages from Paisley and previews of new music before the April 19 street date, which is also the publishing date for Paisley's book about the guitar players who have shaped his life, "The Diary of a Player" (Howard Books). Paisley says "This Is Country Music" was the first song written for the album and set the tone for the entire project. "The last album [2009's "American Saturday Night"] was the opposite of preaching to the choir; it was asking the choir to sing outside their comfort zone," he says. "This album is preaching to the choir. This is taking the choir and saying, 'Sing along with this.' That's what it says in the first song: 'Turn it on/Turn it up/Sing along/This is real/This is your life in a song.' "Source: Billboard OK, I'm exited now!

Henley Goes Country?
Eagles member Don Henley is reportedly in Nashville working on a solo album of country songs with Stan Lynch of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers fame. The collection would be Henley’s fifth studio album as a solo artist and his first since Inside Job (2000).
“Stan is one of my best friends, my son’s godfather,” Henley tells San Francisco magazine Diablo. “We work together often and are currently co-producing my next album, which will be a collection of country songs – originals and covers.”
Though unconfirmed, Ronnie Dunn and Alison Krauss are rumored to make guest appearances on the project. There is no word yet on a release date. Henley is also slated to appear on the upcoming Brad Paisley album This Is Country Music, which is due out April 19.

Very, very excited for the new projects from Luke, Dierks, and Brad, particularly Luke's. I loved his previous two Spring Break EPs, and I'm sure that this one will be no exception. :)

Hit Red Records is Keith's label. Technically, he isn't *signed* to Capitol anymore. If you have his current album, on the back of the case it says "Copyright 2010 Hit Red Records under exclusive license to Capitol Records Nashville. Manufactured by Capitol Records Nashville." Rsmatto could probably tell you more about the record deal and how it works, but the way I understand it is that Keith is on his own label, but markets all of his stuff to Capitol. They do the manufacturing and promotion, but Keith essentially has much more freedom about what he wants to do and how he wants to run things. The big label simply manufactures and promotes.

Capitol Nashville, markets and distributes KU's materials and he retains ownership in his masters and can take them with him after a certain point in time of exclusivity, kinda like what Garth Brooks and the Beatles had and what Little Big Town and Lady A (with the Christmas album at least) have. It's also the basic structure of the Bigger Picture Label as well.

Victoria Banks has a new cd coming out in Canada in April
The CD itself will be coming out in April, but you won’t have to wait that long to get a taste of it because the first single will be sent out to Canadian radio on Valentine’s Day. (Victoria Banks Facebook)

"Got some of the bugs worked out on the new tunes; tweakin' 'em up, get up all nice and shiny. I think you guys are gonna LIKE this stuff!" --Tim McGraw Facebook (Feb. 2)
*I really hope this means he'll have a new album out soon, and since (I believe) it's the last album for Curb, hopefully they don't pull anything stupid here...

May 3Johnny Reid - Introducing Johnny Reid (EMI/Manhattan Records) 01. Today I'm Gonna Try And Change The World 02. Hands Of A Working Man 03. Let's Go Higher 04. Dance With Me 05. Good People 06. A Place Called Love 07. Love Thing 08. Tell Me Margaret 09. A Woman Like You 10. Brings Me Home 11. Thank You Source: EMI/Manhattan Records Press release. I'm happy Johnny's getting a US release date with most tracks from the last album (his first for EMI Canada) being joined by his 'classics' "Dance With Me" "A Woman Like You," "Brings Me Home" and "Than You." If you don't know who he is, he's a multi-platinum superstar in Canada.

^I hope Johnny Reid can make it big in the U.S.A.. After all, we have not had a solo male artist from Canada in the top ten since Paul Brandt (My Heart Has A History-#5 and I Do-#2, both from 1996). ^^On new music from Tim McGraw, I will believe it when I see it.

I'm thinking AC/Adult Pop is where he belongs to be honest, I love his stuff but he's never sounded country to me, he's even said so in a couple of interviews. He doesn't know how he got labeled a country artist but he's happy to be part of the genre. i wish him success either way and it's good to know U.S. music fans will get a chance to hear his music.
