The duet with R. Kelly is on itunes today, I'll definately buy it tonight, can't wait to hear it! Has anyone else heard it yet? Your views? They say her vocals are different.
I'm really anxious to hear the JD produced track.

I knew I read some place that it was going to be a single disc. It's near perfect except light on the MLIYL era, but had to make room for the new songs. This is obviously designed for the casual fan/listener...to have something like MJ's #1's.
I bought the new version of "I Look To You" last night. It's a different vocal take for Whitney...a lot deeper...and I'm not an R. Kelly fan but his vocals are really good. In the outro there's a "Whitney, Whitney, Whitney" refrain that's kind of corny but overall it's a beautiful version. Very emotional.

I'm glad this GH includes all original versions and no remixes. All of her hits from MLIYL are missing except the title track but other than that the tracklist is fine. I just wish there was more unreleased material included.

I wish someone can edit the original title of this thread to "Whitney Houston: New Greatest Hits and unreleased music" or something along those lines.

YESSSS^^^ Do you think well get a cd of unreleased material? she has to have a bunch. No? I wish I knew..... I know there was talk that she recorded another song that Neyo produced in 2009 that didn't make I Look To You, a Rodney Jerkins track called "Think About Me" that would've been a bonus song on her Greatest Hits in 2000, a duet with Faith Evans called "I Got Five On It from a while back, a Will.I.Am track called "If You Loved Me So Much".......I hope we get to hear all of these.

There's a 2disk deluxe version on ITunes in other countries. It includes songs like My Name Is Not Susan, Count On Me, Million Dollar Bill, Heartbreak Hotel Love Will Save The Day among other's. Does anyone know if the US will get this version as well?

Seems to me they could have added "One of Those Days" and "Try It On My Own" to the 2nd disc. I'll bet the "Just Whitney" tracks were left off since Clive wasn't involved with that record.

I'm interested in the Remembering Whitney special but not the show. Pat Houston seems to be cashing in. Just looks shady.

According to U.S. iTunes, a few notes:
Remastered Tracks: How Will I Know I Wanna Dance with Somebody So Emotional I Have Nothing
And, Film Version of: I Believe in You and Me
Yay to the last one- so much better than the glossy single version.

DELUXE EDITION TRACK LISTING: I do seriously hope that the Deluxe edition is released as well in the U.S. because it's far more exciting. I would gladly purchase that one. If it is unavailable in the U.S., I would just buy the import. When I saw the single disc edition tracklisting, I was a little disappointed because it was missing some obvious hits. But the second disc has those plus some other ones that have never appeared on one of Whitney's own collections. Of course, most of the fans who have bought all her albums will have these already, but it's nice to have all of these in one collection. I like the new version of "I Look To You." It's so beautiful. I also hope a collection of some previously unreleased songs comes out eventually.

Supposedly, HSN will sell the album with a five-song bonus CD (of duets):
1. Hold Me (Duet with Teddy Pendergrass) 2. If You Say My Eyes Are Beautiful (Duet with Jermaine Jackson) 3. I Know Him So Well (Duet with Cissy Houston) 4. It Isn't, It Wasn't, It Ain't Never Gonna Be (Duet with Aretha Franklin) 5. Count On Me (Duet with CeCe Winans)
Always had a soft spot for the first two.

I hadn't bought any of her albums in the 80s or 90s, although I was a fan... So I rushed to buy the imported UK version of the Greatest Hits back in Peru. It was a great collection! And I think much better than the new compilation. For the one disc version -did it have to stop in 18 tracks? Even if so, there needed to be more balance! If YGGL is included, you have to include HH since it was the most successful track in the US for MLIYL. And the 2-disc version stops short at 14 tracks. There is room for other hits! The Star Spangled Banner, When you Believe, Hold Me, Miracle (top 10), Why does it hurt so bad, and then something else from the 2000s like TIOMO. Anyway. I'll probably check the booklet first (old me, still buying CDs) before deciding to buy the deluxe version. Otherwise I'll just buy tracks in iTunes

I love Whitney's vocals on the duet version of I Look To You, they sound so pretty and crisp I just wish she was included during the bridge too, why was it just R. Kelly singing? I know other casual fans will be happy to get this album because it has all the original uptempo songs. It'll be a great Christmas gift, and should sell well especially if it's discounted to $9.99 during the Holiday season.

With a new greatest hits coming out, it doesn't look like there will be a 25th-anniversary reissue for Whitney, at least through year's end.
