Adele sweeped the general field. Foo Fighters won every rock award. Kanye won every rap award.

-Jennifer's tribute to Whitney was great -Chris Brown is allowed to perform twice AND he wins Best R&B album? at people saying he was over 3 years ago after the whole Rihanna debacle, it's funny when people are SO wrong (he should not have won Best R&B, though) -Enjoyed Rihanna/Coldplay, I won't ever tire of WFL apparently -Nicki Minaj.... ??? What in the world was that. She really needs to sit with that whole Roman alter-ego business, it's actually becoming annoying and is way past unnecessary. -Congrats Adele on your sweep! -LL is such a cool cat 'Tis all.

Melanie fiona didn't write "Fool for You" therefore, she only won one grammy tonight. Congrats though! Glad Bon Iver went 2/4 ! Taylor 2/3, not overly surprised she lost Country Album, just surprised it was to Lady A and not Jason. Disappointed Jason/Kelly didn't win, but happy that the civil wars took home a couple. Adele sweeping, deserved and expected :) Mumford and sons, I believe should have won their rock categories. Side note...can someone tell me why featured artists get credit for an AOTY win, it doesnt make sense, it isn't their album...it should just go to the artist/producer(s), I mean, they dont give them a grammy if the album wins in the genre categories, so why do so in the general field?

Nicki is getting a ton of negative feedback for her performance.
Was happy to see Adele win her trophies, although I must say that it seems a bit limited to have three artists dominate entire genres. A little diversity would be nice. Kanye and Adele sweeping made sense though considering their combination of critical and commercial success.

I only enjoyed Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Tony & Carrie, Taylor Swift, Chris Brown, and Jennifer Hudson. I was on the phone during Katy Perry and The Band Perry.

Watching on the West coast. Tony Bennett needs to go away. He'd sing at/go to the opening of the letter. This hero worship he gets everywhere he goes is strange to me. Also - I don't think Carrie sounds at all good on this kind of song.

Of the performances I saw...
Adele was in great form. Beautiful, rousing performance.
Katy lipped...boring.
Rihanna/Coldplay...off as fuck. Yikes.
Jason/Kelly...not their best, holy sound issues...and still in the better half of performances.
Foo Fighters were great, lots of energy.
Have a few to catch up on tomorrow, but the rest I hardly remember even hours later.

You know the feeling when you're on a strict diet, but then you indulge on a meal with like 1,000 calories and you feel guilty for eating that meal afterwards? That's exactly how the "Roman Holiday" performance was like. I liked it and disliked it at the same time. The Horror movie trailer was definitely interesting.

Best and Worst Grammy Awards Performances This is why we have the GrammysBeatle or not, at first it seemed superfluous, and a little sadistic, to invite Paul McCartney back onstage at the end after his uninspired first attempt. However, a soul-stirring performance of the fab four classic "Golden Slumbers/Carry Your Weight," followed a rocking group guitar performance featuring Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, Rusty Anderson, Brian Ray and Joe Walsh, among others, showed why the Grammys matter even if they only hand out five awards per telecast. But why was the show on a respirator for the first three and a half hours?Grade: A+Jennifer Hudson - Most poignant tributeJust hours after Whitney Houston had been found dead, Jennifer Hudson was pulled in to prepare a tribute to one of her heroes. The result? A restrained yet striking take on Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You," the song made even more famous by Houston's own powerful pipes on the soundtrack for The Bodyguard. In short: It was beautiful. Grade: AAdele - Best comebackAfter weeks of hype following her vocal surgery, Adele let her powerful pipes do all the talking in the opening lines of "Rolling in the Deep." Even though it's a song we've heard so many times – probably too many times before – the richness in her vocals and the conviction in her performance made it sound all new again and reminded us why we fell in love the first time. Now this is what standing ovations are for. Grade: AMost welcome headbangingMaybe all Grammy performances should happen outside in a tent in front of fans without seats. "Walk" might have been a fireworks-free, run-of-the-mill concert performance for the Foo Fighters, but watching fans go berserk at a rock show is kind of exactly what a three-hours-plus awards show needs. Grade: A-Best odd coupleWhitney was the big name on everyone's lips, but Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt teamed up to pay fitting tribute to another fallen singer – Etta James. Armed with a keyboard and a guitar, respectively, the R&B songstress and country superstar meshed perfectly for a stripped-down, but powerful rendition of "I Want a Sunday Kind of Love." Grade: A-Best good times tributeCan we just hang out with The Band Perry and Blake Shelton while they sit around singing selections from the Glenn Campbell catalogue? Even if you don't know who Glenn Campbell is, chances are his songs -- "Gentle on My Mind," "Southern Nights" and, Campbell's biggest hit "Rhinestone Cowboy" – spell good times for you, too. Grade: B+Best openingIs there a better way to start things off than The Boss? Accompanied by strings and the always reliable E Street Band, Bruce Springsteen delivered a raw, charged and inspiring performance of "We Take Care of Our Own." And hey for, 62, Springsteen can do the stage jumps with the best of them! Grade: B+Most underappreciatedBruno Mars and his poofiest pompadour tried to get Grammy-goers going with the big, brassy, James Brown-happy "Runaway Baby." "Get off your rich asses and have some fun!"he instructed. Thankfully, he kept doing his delightful doo-wop thing, taking no heed of the still-sitting ingrates in the audience. Grade: B+Most frightening (sounding) collaborationOn paper, it's hard to imagine worse than the shrill voices of Adam Levine and Foster the People's Mark Foster joining forces (hide your dogs!). Mercifully, they sang their odes to the Beach Boys ("Little Surfer Girl" and "Wouldn't It Be Nice") separately and then let the reunited Beach Boys fly mostly solo on "Good Vibrations." We think the pop vets could've -- and should've -- handled the whole thing alone. Grade: B- Nicki Minaj - Slightly better pretender to the Lady Gaga throneNicki Minaj arrived at the Grammys escorted by a priest and dressed in scarlet, oversized nunwear. On stage, she confessed her sins, got exorcised and levitated above dancing clergymen to "Roman's Revenge." Do we wish she sang one of her better songs? Yes. Was she trying too hard? Perhaps. But we award brownie points for trying, misguided or not. Grade: CHonky tonkiest kiss-offYou don't wanna see Taylor Swift when she's angreeee. No, really, we didn't need to see it. The 22-year-old sang her Grammy-winning ditty "Mean," about how one day she's going to show up her nemesis when she's livin in a big ol' city, while wearing her granny's nightie, banjo in hand. Yeah! And stay off her lawn, too! Grade: CRihanna - Biggest letdownAfter Rihanna's heavily choreographed and highly energized performance of "We Found Love," her melodramatic duet with Chris Martin was OK, but it's Coldplay's performance of "Paradise" that was, well, anything but. They may have glowed in the dark, thanks to some very talented street artist stagehands, but Martin's whiny, off-key vocals hardly glowed. Grade: C-Chris Brown - Weirdest standing ovationSo, um, yeah, that was really… geometric? Chris Brown's performance of "Turn Up the Music" and "Beautiful People" transformed the Staples stage into a PG-rated nightclub, which is about as much as we'd expect from Justin Bieber. Not sure why the generic dancing, not to mention tunes, earned him a standing O. You guys in the audience didn't even stand for Bruce. Grade: C-Worst cover-upProducers managed to find enough time – see what we did there? – to cart big clockwork gears onstage for Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson's duet of "Don't You Wanna Stay," but they couldn't check the equipment? Even worse are Kelly's horrible improv skills – when Aldean's mic suddenly went out, she stopped singing instead of sharing her mic. Did live TV teach you nothing, girl? Grade: C-Worst odd coupleTony Bennett, much like Sir Paul, gets a free pass at the Grammys just for making it onstage, but he delivered smoothly and effortlessly, like he always does. Surprisingly, it was the much younger Carrie Underwood who infused the classic "It Had to Be You" with a little too much life and way too much of her own style. Grade: D-Most depressing valentineHow exactly did Sir Paul get upgraded to OG status by LL Cool J? Whatever it was, we didn't see it in this lackadaisical performance of "My Valentine," which included dark lighting, a ho-hum string orchestra – The Boss did it better! – and Paul sitting on a stool, in front of the audience, asking them to love him despite this dreadful tune. Grade: FKaty Perry - Worst replacement for Lady GagaThe truth is Katy Perry has (only) one really good song in her arsenal – her collaboration with Kanye West about alien sex, "E.T." So, yes, we feel your horror. To hear the first 20 seconds of that song only to have it cut off and replaced by ""Part of Me," the umpteenth Dr. Luke-Max Martin bit of radio pandering? Ugh. Oh, and her hair was blue. Who cares. Grade: Fwww.tvguide.com/special/grammys/PhotoGallery/Best-Worst-Grammy-1043273#1043274

My only issue with Adele is she didn't pay homage to Whitney one time during her wins. Gorl, you u betta respect the American Queen. #BowDown

I didn't like this year's Grammys. I cannot believe how awful they were. Seriously? There were so few awards handed out. It is the Grammy awards, not half-assed performances for 3.5 hours. I thought Adele, Jennifer Hudson, Nicki Minaj, and Jason Aldean & Kelly Clarkson delivered awesome performance. Honorable mentions for Alicia Keys and Bonnie Rait (Bonnie still looks flawless; she hasn't aged a bit in 22 years, wow) and Bruno Mars. One of the worst performances was that one with David Guetta and Deadmau5 (WTF was that? ???) and Chris Brown (I appreciate his dancing, but the lipping was so bad). Katy's performance was frightening. Why? I thought the new song was good, but it felt so out of place. In light of Whitney Houston's death, the significant majority of the performances were completely inappropriate. Adele and Jennifer Hudson were absolute class. Adele looked and sounded fantastic. Given the circumstances and lack of prep time, Jennifer really did a great job. She has performed IWALY at BET Honors for Whitney a couple years back and she did a great job with the full thing. I wish Jennifer had done the big final part, but maybe the time allotted wasn't enough for it or they didn't think it was suitable for such an occasion. I know that I may be bias here, but the Grammys should have been called off in light of Whitney's passing. Life goes on, yeah yeah. But she just died a little over 24 hours ago! By celebrating like this, it's almost like it didn't happen or they want to forget that it happened, like she didn't matter. LL mentioned her when hosting (that prayer was lovely). Rihanna mentioned Whitney during the breakdown of "We Found Love" (which is so apropos given that WFL and IWDWS are practically the same song) And then Jennifer did her tribute performance. It was like this topic that is so obvious but no one was willing to talk about it. It made me really angry. I guess this really speaks about the state of mind many people have right now. They care more about their money, their parties, their limos, their booze, their weed/drugs, their jumpoff tricks/bust-it babies, and of course, business. With each passing year, the Grammy awards ceremony and festivities make me a little more bitter and jaded about how fucked up the world really is. Nicki is getting a LOT of negative feedback. all deserved, she sounded horrible, the song was horrible, her performance was a mess and offensive, let's see what else... There's word that the Catholic church is not amused by her performance. Just when you expected Madonna to piss off the Catholic church like she usually does, Nicki comes along and takes it several steps further making LAP video and the LTT crucifixion performance seem like Sesame Street.

That was a bad show... The Jhud performance was nice along with Adele... Its hard to beleive she has more Grammy's than Mariah and she's won it all in one year... Really goes to show what the Grammys are... CRAP.... Honeslty I don't see whats so great about Adele... Im getting over Brunos same old performances, plus he sang the my least fav song from his album... Again the show was a complete mess...

Taylor Swift winning 2 out of 3 not bad.It would be nice if Taylor got country album but oh well maybe next album.
Taylor's performance of "Mean",By far her best performance of the song to date.Just amazing.
Adele sweeping the awards tonight.I think this is kind of obvious she would win all her nominations.Well Deserved for her.
Nicki Minaj performance awful,Whole time watching this trying to figure what type of performance is this.
Coldplay performance nice for "Paradise".
Jennifer Hudson Whitney Houston Tribute.A great way to do a tribute to a legend.
Adele's comeback performance.Yeah we heard RITD a million times but this was also a amazing performance for her.
Overrall,A entertaining Grammys show.Best one since 2010.

Surprised no one has mentioned Carrie and Tony; I thought their performance was enjoyable and tasteful. Carrie sounded fantastic, as usual. Jennifer's tribute to Whitney was phenomenal and beautiful, and Adele was great too. So happy she had a big night. Kelly looked and sounded fantastic, too (Jason, not so much).
The only thing I really disagreed with was Lady A winning Country Album for "Own The Night." I thought it was incredibly weak of the album, and Taylor or Jason should've taken it. I don't think Swift should be allowed to win any vocalist awards, but since this matter has probably been discussed a million times before I won't go there.
I agree most of the performances were very distasteful, especially in the wake of Whitney's death. Nicki was an absolute disgrace, and I'm shocked she even had the nerve to go through with the performance. Lady Gaga walking out in the middle of Adele's acceptance speech for Album Of The Year showed a complete lack of class; I suppose I shouldn't expect any less from someone who bragged her mediocre album was the "album of the decade." Please.

Katy Perry impressed me with her performance.
ADELE WOWED and ENCHANTED ALL THE AUDIENCE AND THIS IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT.
Taylor Swift's performance was moderate. Nothing special. But she looked flawless.
Carrie Underwood and Tony Bennett sounded great but it was too short.
Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean were great too even with the sound problem.

I seriously can't at the grasping of straws and bitterness that still resonates. Gaga happened. Deal!
