Oooh. I was looking all over the past few weeks to see if any news would surface for a new 3DD single. Guess it finally happened when I stopped looking. Lol. Either way, hope this is excellent!

my money, as far as the tone of the song, is on a heavy one

Really? Judging by the title, it doesn't sound like it's gonna be a heavy one. Radio finally seems bored of 3DD.

Seems very quick, feels like "When You're Young" was only just released.

I believe they just went the same route Saliva did, releasing 2 singles before the album comes out

Well when you realize that your first single isn't having the success that you expected, you release a second single.

Well when you realize that your first single isn't having the success that you expected, you release a second single. Not to mention when you push your album back 3 months. I tried looking for the song but I couldn't find it. I did find 3 tracks off the album though - a part of Believer, Round and Round and a clear version of Time of My Life. (Audio for the first two are piss poor however.) From what little I could hear, Believer sounds like it *could* fit off The Better Life. Believer: Round and Round: Time of My Life:

It got played on my local rock station a few days ago on their hit or diss segment, but unfortunately I didn't get to hear it so I have no idea what it sounded like.

I hope they're able to bounce back with this one, whatever it sounds like.

Listening now. Let you all know what it sounds like if it pops up.
EDIT - Just heard it. It's like an uptempo Here Without You. Not a ballad, but it covers pretty much the same subject matter. It's faster than When You're Young, but it's not heavier.

I like this song better. It's a vintage 3 Doors Down single. I don't expect it to do much chart wise simply because i think their middle of the road sound has run its course.

I kinda liked When You're Young better because the lyrics were something new. This isn't bad by any means, but unfortunately I don't think it'll do much damage either; they're playing it way too safe. Maybe they're aiming for Hot AC or something.

Judging from that Believer clip, I don't think they're completely done and over with but these picks are not helping them. I wouldn't be surprised if they burn through a 3rd single or swap this for something else at the last minute.
Edit - just to clarify, it doesn't sonically sound like HWY, just the lyrics echo the same idea of being away from your loved one or whatever.

adds date pushed back to May 9. smh Surprise. Surprise. Oh wait, I'm not. Edit - For anyone who hasn't heard it, I just found it on YouTube (quality's not perfect but perfectly listenable):

Not bad, but I still miss that old rawness they used to have. This is pretty standard radio rock fare.

Pretty good. More upbeat than "When You're Young".

Nice song indeed. Much more appealing material than I heard from their last album.

Yeah, not sure why they chose "When You're Young" over this.

This definitely should've been first. It would have at least done better than "When You're Young".

This is like a remake of that 80s song "Every Time You Go Away...You Take A Piece Of Me With You..." - if this gets big, they might have a lawsuit coming
