"Sexy Den A Mutha" is the greatest ever. That's my favorite song on the record too. It needs to be a single!

Up until the breakdown in "Girl In The Mirror" I really thought I was going to love this album. From there on out it takes a pretty steep dive, but it's still decent. The first three songs are my favourites.

Her best effort yet. Consistent throughout, vocal abilities are stronger on these recordings, experimental sounds is a +, and it's just a feel good pop/dance album. Well done, girl!!! She's on track to have "CMN" be the fastest selling single of 2012 and a 3rd #1 album, she's a gem. Shame she won't be pushed into the US Market with this album, she could do wonders here. I think the US audience would eat her up. The beauty of her, her dramatic backstory (divorce, malaria, etc) and a solid pop singer; girl can do it!

I was really feeling it until "Love Killer"... That one is really a dud. I also must say the Lana penned track was better in full than it was in the snippet. "Sexy Den A Mutha" was halfway through when the elevator got to my floor at work, so I'll have to finish later

I'm pretty underwhelmed by this album. "Call My Name" is great, but everything else seems rather lackluster.

I can't bring myself to listen to the full album right now. Still too disappointed at no US release. I know she never released anything here anyway, but I really thought she would this time; I was finally gonna be able to go buy something by someone different. I'm sick of nearly everything thats been released here recently. Now I have nothing to look forward to.

This is a really good album. A lot more EDM elements than I was expecting based on the snippets...it almost becomes too much after a while, but I think that really just depends on how much one can tolerate a large amount of EDM in one sitting (even if it is just commercial EDM). I'm so miffed that Ghetto Baby wasn't sent to Ciara, though. Cheryl has no business on that song, lol, but it would fit Cici to a tee.
I watched her CMN performances and there is no good reason why this woman has not yet swan-dived herself into the US and snatched a few wigs on the way down to her landing.

Guys, it's gonna happen. It would be absolutely ridiculous not to happen. I have faith! Let's see what happens after the tour/GA reunion.

Made myself listen to the album. I say its her best so far. Think I'll keep my ratings the way they were...wish SHE had kept 'Ghetto Baby'. Last One Standing should have replaced Ghetto Baby.

i find it difficult to comprehend the logic behind a statement like if jessie j can break it in america cheryl can. jessie j is a singaaaaaah. i dont own her music because i dont like it but she can really sing. i dont know what cheryl really has to offer other than being stunning (like really stunning). and the person who said they wanted to buy something 'different' if you turn to cheryl cole for something unique your musical tastes are not very wide. sorry. at least venture out to lana del rey not the most amazing artist but a step in the right direction for a pop listener. then try fiona apple. then maybe santigold and MIA. and if your really adventurous taste bjork thom yorke bon iver.

Personally I don't care if Jessie J is a "singer". While Jessie J has a great (arguable, even though I think so) voice, Cheryl has the better quality, more accessible material to offer and it makes sense that a song like 'Call My Name' or 'Fight For This Love' or even 'Promise This' would have an easier time in America than a song like...well I guess most anything off of Jessie's debut (except 'Domino' obviously, and 'Dude') simply because Cheryl's music better aligns with the taste of most American pop listeners. So there lies the logic in my statement!

By different I meant "someone" different, as in I'm tired of the current singer/dancers - Rihanna, Katy Perry etc. I prefer singer-dancers over everything else and was not refering to anyone outside that category. And you can like whoever you want. But you know nothing about my musical tastes. I am in a Cheryl Cole thread, no she obviously can't be compared with the likes of artists you just mentioned, because they are completely different. I only had artists that could be compared with her in mind here.

So there lies the logic in my statement! THE TRUTH!I have no idea why they don't push her in the states. Her music is good and would fit pop radio, she's hot, has personality, and UK chicks are HUGE right now. If Ellie, Jessie J, and Cher Lloyd can get big hits, there is no way Cheryl wouldn't. I honestly don't know why they seem to have given up before they even started! :'(

i think Will.I.am will push her to do it, maybe she just don't need to promo it, Call My Name can easily shot up the chart easily, then do some big promo, i think it is enough

First listening didn't do enough for me. I always have this problem with her albums that besides the main single, nothing else rings my bell. Overall, you can tell that she is a Rihanna stan. She clearly tries to emulate her through the whole album, but it's still her best solo output yet.
That said Cinderella's Eyes >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This.

"Ghetto Baby", LMAO. Up until the breakdown in "Girl In The Mirror" I really thought I was going to love this album. Same! Never remarkable but I could see how and why faithful listeners might enjoy the hell out of this. at least venture out to lana del rey not the most amazing artist but a step in the right direction for a pop listener. then try fiona apple. then maybe santigold and MIA. and if your really adventurous taste bjork thom yorke bon iver. My 17 year-old self weeps. You're embarrassing yourself.

Yay @ 152K sold and UK #1 and the fastest selling single of 2012 so far! Congrats Chezza! If she does cross the pond, I really think she could be the Janet of our generation. OKAY WELL I obviously adore Cheryl and everything but I wouldn't necessarily go that far. But do I think she could be quite big? Yes.

The album is now out in the UK and the deluxe edition of A Million Lights is #1 on iTunes within an hour and a half of release. The standard edition is also #10. 'Call My Name' is at #3 on the song charts.

I'm surprised no one has talked about "Mechanics of the Heart" here yet...it honestly is the best song Cheryl's ever done, IMO.

This album is growing on me. Call My Name is an amazing lead single. The video is cute, I saw it last night at a bar.

Lana Del Rey tweeted a link to Ghetto Baby. Obviously that's the song she wrote.
