Other- just average generic dance music. lol enlighten me,what is there so awfully good and innovative? Its a dragging mess most of the time. It might be progressive dance, but that does not mean its good.

I could do without:
Electric Chapel Highway Unicorn (Road to Love)
and possibly:
Hair Black Jesus † Amen Fashion
---
It may be a bit early, but this is how I'd rate the tracks at present:
1. Marry the Night 4/5 2. Born This Way 5/5 3. Government Hooker 5/5 4. Judas 5/5 5. Americano 3/5 6. Hair 3/5 7. Scheiße 5/5 8. Bloody Mary 3/5 9. Black Jesus † Amen Fashion 3/5 10. Bad Kids 5/5 11. Fashion of His Love 5/5 12. Highway Unicorn (Road to Love) 2/5 13. Heavy Metal Lover 4/5 14. Electric Chapel 2/5 15. The Queen 4/5 16. Yoü and I 5/5 17. The Edge of Glory 5/5
I feel like the music is starting to fall in line with her image, whereas with the majority of her material prior to this album, there was a disparity. It's definitely not perfect and may be over-long, but it doesn't feel bloated in the same way Christina Aguilera's last album did for example. Whilst not always successful, the material is cohesive and largely relevant. I don't see many singles as such, but that's not a bad thing in my book; this era of music is too defined by front-loaded albums of singles plus filler that doesn't challenge its listener at all and is a complete waste of time and space. I will say that she's crammed an awful lot of growth/progression into such a short period of time, which is great in some ways, but could be (and obviously has been) alienating to some.
I'd just about give it a 4/5 / B overall, because the high points of the album are pretty damn high for me, whereas the majority of the low points I'm more indifferent to than outright dislike (so basically, filler). It's exhausting, but refreshing. I see polls like FF v. BTW and am just like... really? Not even slightly similar.

I feel like the music is starting to fall in line with her image, whereas with the majority of her material prior to this album, there was a disparity. I think that will actually hurt her in the long run. Before, she had an off-putting image, but she still made commercial, fairly conventional music, so people weren't completely weirded out by her. Now, she has an out-there image and the music to match. I'm not sure how her casual fans (and the public at large) will react to this album. They could embrace it as they did with 'Born This Way' (and seem to be doing with 'The Edge Of Glory'), or they could completely reject it, à la 'Judas'. I guess we'll see what happens. Personally, I hope it does well. I don't think the album is fantastic by any stretch of the imagination, but I admire the fact that she set out to do something a little different.

Kinda in love with this now. It was a total brain f**k at first but seeps into your pores after 3-4 spins. This bitch still needs to learn to edit. The girl never heard a production element she didn't like and the album would be perfectly brilliant if she cut a few tracks. I'm also not a big fan of the bonus tracks being mixed in one the Deluxe edition. "Fashion of His Love" may be the only keeper for me out of the bonus tracks. But the core of this album (particularly the first half) is quite strong. I'm on the fence about "Bad Kids" and "Americano" particularly the latter. I can't decide whether it's scary, fabulous, offensive, a total mess or what. Overall, I think this is a very solid and daring effort for her. It'll be interesting to see how the public responds to it. B+

Was it intended for "Bad Kids" to sound like the dreaded "F" word? That's all I hear now.

First listen verdict is a C. Put simply: The low points drag the album down so far that the highs are unable to salvage it. I may change my mind after a couple more listens but iiiidddddkkkkkkk.I was mentally/physically drained while listening Tuesday night - plus I didn't really have the volume high enough - so I'm glad I protected myself from eggs on the face with this caveat. Listening thru headphones while engaged in vigorous activity did, in fagt, change my mind. Gonna [3453453] my good sis Neally with a B- for now. Loving the singles, MTH, H, BM; adapting to S, GH, BK, Y&I. On the flip side, The Unicorn Song is still wholly unecessary & EC unapologetically swiped the beat from Kylie's CGUOOMH (iirc - not listening now). [No real opinion has been formed of HML or A.]

The first half of the album is heaven, but the songs begin to decline in quality after "Bad Kids." I'd give it a B+.

A. By far the most experimental record of the year. The Edge of Glory and Scheiße are two of my favourite GaGa songs to date. The only song that I don't really care for is Americano.

... It's awful. Horrendous. Embarrassing, to be honest.
The melodies are dull, the lyrics are repetitive, childish, and, for the most part, meaningless. Name-dropping Jesus a dozen times doesn't make for an edgy or "important" album. So many of the songs sound alike (sometimes in terms of production, melody, or the hook, other times lyrically or thematically) that one wonders if this album could be reduced to a really good 5-track EP.
I can't believe that critics are eating this up the way that they are. This really should have been a career-ender. IT. IS. AWFUL.

It actually fits perectly into the chorus, I'm sure it was intentional.

After listening to the standard edition several times, my ratings:
Born This Way 10/10 Bloody Mary 10/10 Judas 10/10
Bad Kids 9/10 Heavy Metal Lover 9/10
Scheiße 8/10 Yoü and I 8/10
Americano 7/10 Hair 7/10 Electric Chapel 7/10 The Edge of Glory 7/10
Government Hooker 6/10 Marry the Night 6/10
Highway Unicorn (Road to Love) 4/10
Highway Unicorn is the only stain on the album. It has its qualities but is overall too cheesy and should have been replaced with Fashion of His Love.
Average rating: 7.7/10 which is a solid B+.
