Strange that this is performing well out of the gate after Beady Eye couldn't do anything.

This sounds much better to me than what I heard from Beady Eye.

^ Noel wrote every single Oasis classic, Liam just sang them (for the most part).

I'm editing the topic title because that's honestly atrocious.

Very nice and smooth song. It sounds like Oasis and I think it's good like that. Very poetic lyrics, too. I like that.

I like this better than most anything off of the last four Oasis albums (I've long found Oasis among the more overrated bands, frankly, even while I can see how Noel's lyrics and Liam's vocals have resonated to many, and I can see why the band has stood the tests of time due to their street origins and appeal)
Many were remarking just after Oasis broke up onward that they were predicting Noel Gallagher would emerge as a solo artist that would chart equally as strong as latter-day Oasis efforts, while anything Liam Gallagher touched would go nowhere. Honestly, I never bought into that............and given that "The Death of You & Me" bowed at #15 on the UK Singles Chart (which is still most impressive for an artist of his kind in this day in age, and better than the #34 debut for Beady Eye's lead effort)..........I think that is indicative of the reality that Noel Gallagher could very well remain a highly influential, respected artist in the many years ahead, but his commercial dominating days are behind him.
Namaste, lisping HIBISCUS
