Lyrically it could be better, judging from the title.

I have a strong feeling this won't do well based on the repeated featuring of Skrillex and the title. But I could be wrong.

Well, that was basically "Get Up" Part 2. No thanks.

Well, that was basically "Get Up" Part 2. No thanks. How is this "Get Up" Pt. 2? Both that song and this were produced by Skrillex and this is a dubstep album so there is going to be that similarity, but "Get Up" was a more in your face rock song and this is a little deeper and less direct. Also very catchy. This is also way more natural sounding than anything on their last album.

I agree with pen on this one.
I actually am enjoying the dubstep Korn quite a bit. It's really the most interesting thing they've done in about a decade.

They should've put something else out to break up the Skrillex a bit.

The womp womps actually spark some new life into the nu-metal sound. I like it.

The intro reminds me of Sarah McLachlan's "Possession" until the heavy percussion is added on.

Heard it today on the radio. While this is miles better than "Get Up," I can't help but feel that, while no major rock band has experimented with dubstep, this is, nevertheless, Korn chasing trends in an attempt to be relevant again. It felt like a dubstep remix of a Korn song rather than an original Korn song. It was too hard to pick out Munky, Fieldy, and Ray's contributions. While I was listening, I liked it enough that I found myself thinking how much more I'd enjoy it had it been performed as a straight rock band. Melodically, this was probably better than anything off their last album.

I don't know, maybe it is trend chasing, but it wasn't like Korn wasn't already experimenting with electronics on their previous albums before their retread attempt on Korn III. If it's trend chasing, it still feels to me like a natural choice forward.

If it's trend chasing, it still feels to me like a natural choice forward. I agree. To me, "Korn III: Remember Who You Are" was more of a statement to longtime listeners of theirs that they still had the traditional edge in them. I personally thought the album was pretty good, but do concur with others that it didn't mark any sign of maturity all the same, and was really a step sideways more than anything. But now that they've made that statement (which didn't sell well), yet came to terms with how their edge defines their live show more than anything.......they realized they needed to harness that raw aggression, yet also take a step forward and update their sound. Which brings us here. Dubstep hasn't yet caught fire at rock radio, so if anything Korn can prove to be a trendsetter. It's true they tinkered with electronica considerably on other recent efforts, but it erred more on the melodic side. Namaste, lisping HIBISCUS

Well, it's worth noting that Sonny Moore was vocalist of From First to Last and did an electropop EP on his own name before becoming a dubstep artist as Skrillex. I mean, if we're going to point out others as "trend chasing."

I mean, if we're going to point out others as "trend chasing." OK, I didn't know any of the solo stuff Sonny was working on post-FFTL actually saw the light of day. Wasn't his original solo stuff produced by Ross Robinson, like, as Robinson's flagship artist for a new label? I can't imagine Ross is still onboard and behind the Skrillex project, though. Once Sonny's Skrillex stuff came out, I was like, "Wait, is that the kind of stuff he's been working on his own this whole time? 'Cause I didn't think it was..." Putting weight behind your point, a co-worker or two who listen to electronic music, with no prior familiarity with FFTL, think Skrillex is garbage, that Sonny is watering/dumbing down dubstep.

I guess American dubstep is something that didn't sit well with lots of electronic purists. To some, what he does is stereotypical of the style. However, many young adults love Skrillex and deadmau5 (progressive house), even though many purists are not really that fond of either one.

I find it one of the best korn songs I've heard in years. Far better then Get Up. Reminds me of "Got the life".
