So it's coming on Thursday morning around 6AM PST? So excited! Great time for me, too. Hoping it's great! The title sounds like something she's already covered, though.

She needs just one more #1 to fulfill my bold prediction I made last year of her having 11-12 #1's by the end of 2011.

S&M her only #1 this year correct? I wish she could match her record for the most #1s in a year again. She would need to hit #1 three more times by Dec. 28th (my bday ). If she has hot singles I know she can sqeeze in two more.

Riri's coming for Mariah's number ones record... LOL. Rihanna could do it in as little as 2 years. Maybe you'll still be on this site so i could see your reaction.

But the difference with these artists is that they actually show artistic growth musically, vocally and artistically. With Rihanna it's mainly catchy beats, new look, and a new hair color. Her growth is in her appearance rather than her music. I think Rated R showed a huge growth from Good Girl Gone Bad. And Loud was just the album to help her get back on top after Rated R wasn't hugely commercially successful. Also her voice continues to get stronger and she becomes more confident on each record. I agree. I don't see how anyone can say Rihanna hasn't shown growth musically, vocally & artistically with a straight face. For one thing, GGGB was a huge step up from her preceding two eras. For another, Rated R was one of the best releases by a mainstream female pop star in the last few years. It was completely unexpected from the girl who arrived one the scene with "Pon de Replay" a few short years prior. She also had her hands on every facet of that project including co-writing the material. Some of her contemporaries that people here drool over will go their entire careers without releasing an album as solid, tbh. Loud might have seemed like a bit of a regression but it made sense that she would follow-up a less accesible artistic statement with more listener-friendly material. It's not as if she didn't leave any vestiges from her Rated R growth on there too.

Rihanna is going to end up challenging the Beatles for most #1s. People can keep saying her career is just about over as much as they want to try and make themselves feel better, but it won't make it true.

I personally love her, and am always welcoming new material from her if she delivers! As much as I love Katy Perry, she has gotten too ubiquitous for me these past several months. But I haven't complained about it. I just avoid listening to her too much so as not to completely ruin her for me. But if the girl wants to keep coming out with new music, who would I be to say no?

Rihanna could definitely do a #1s album, and it wouldn't be that different than Mariah. Rihanna's been around for over 6 years now, Mariah released #1's about 8 years after she debuted. So in reality that wouldn't be the most farfetched concept.

Riri's coming for Mariah's number ones record... How is she coming for anything when she still needs 8 #1s to tie Mariah?? I predict she's gonna fizzle out before hitting her 13th

I see they're using the R logo still. I'm glad they're keeping that, I think it's neat. I wonder if the aesthetic of that graphic is a representation of the album's image?

8 more #1s is only two cds away pretty much. 2-3 #1s per cd and maybe a feature or two and she is right there.

I was worried that this whole release (single and album) would be a bit rushed and thrown out there just due to the lack of spacing and time between the last era and this new one, but the promos, while nothing significant, give me hope to the contrary.

I really like the title of this, I can't wait to hear it! I'm glad it seems to be produced by someone different, not only for her but for American pop as well. No more stale Guetta-esque dance songs please. While I liked most of the singles from it, the Loud album as a whole didn't do much for me, so I hope this album will be different in that respect. I think Cheers is a terrible song (mainly to do Avril's shrieking), so I'm happy to see that being ditched in favor of something new. The timing of it is a little weird though, it seems kind of rushed to me.

It's a dance song, Calvin Harris does house-styled dance songs.
