People can't stand this woman because she's just too talented, simply not to be accepted. Too talented...in her acting as well...ok. but, Why yall so mad? I don't get it...you all know that she is not flopping yet you get peeved when haters call it a flop. I'd be moved by if it were flopping and haters were kicking her while she is down. This album is not falling down the charts. It has proven to be a solid hit...this album was never going to be a best seller. Everyone has their moment it is how someone sustains after their peak. Thats the key to longevity and she isn't pulling bad numbers and singles outside of top 40. Chillax...let the haters call it a flop. You should have been worried if the album didnt go platinum or score a top 20 hit. But yeah, still mad that love on top is not a single and will continue to express.LOL. has the countdown video had a release date yet?

I'm really liking this at the moment ! If there's any song that can get Bey a top 10 hot 100 hit this era, it's this one.

Well seeing how Beyonce said on the Year of 4(taped right before RTW was released and flop)that she didn't care about the hits and wanted to make a great cohesive album, she must be lying? If Beyonce wanted a pop hit she could have easily, easily hired a bunch of producers and made a pop ready, sure fire hit. She could have leaped to Guetta, or AfroJack, or did a Cali Gurls rehash or something radio ready like Only Girls or Hold it against me.... Of course there gonna keep sending out songs to radio. Did y'all miss the press release where Columbia(not Beyonce)said they were gonna werk the f**k out of the album? If people really believe Bey is at home right now frantically crying over flopping on pop, then... Stuff isn't working at pop this go around, sucks, but that's the price she paid. She's still tearing up urban, still selling decently(top 10 of the year---outperformed artists who have had 2, 3, 4 hits). Biggest R&B release, ect. So while I hope Countdown, or end of time, or I was here, or anything becomes a big pop hit...it ain't the end of the world. But of course haters are gonna flock to it. Funny thing is alot of the negative people are the same one's who defend "My December" for flopping because it wasn't mainstream...or the same one's who defended "Rated R" when it wasn't as big as "Good Girls Go Bad" because it was from the heart and it "real" and it didn't matter if it flopped(even though it ended up doing well and having a #1). But no, when Fame hungry, bitch face Beyonce does it, she's lying or doing damage control. smh Tell em! Its so funny cause Bey has even said in interviews many times that her focus wasn't on making smash singles this era. But people continue to try and claim shes lying and only saying that cause the singles have under performed. SMH You would think haters would be happy that Bey wasn't focusing on making smash singles, knowing what the outcome would of been. Bey has been there and done that! ;) You're right. She's lied many times before so doing it again is nothing new. :)

This is the dumbest decision ever. I mean really. Split singles with Party AND Countdown? This era is a flat out mess. There is NO reason for this to be a Pop-centered release. Her management this era must really be smoking that good good. did you know part is already 9m and top35 on urban? they had to release it. but then party is not pop single material. so this is best choice.

wtf happend to end of time?? was that ever officially released?? Not yet. ;) And I kind of get what element is saying with releasing "Party" and "Countdown" simultaneously since it's not exactly the traditional pop/urban combo since both songs are pretty urban-leaning (CD has a some mainstream appeal though)...the difference isn't as clear-cut but I don't think that matters or makes things a "mess". If people are worrying about this clashing with "Party" on Urban, I doubt that will happen. Trey, Drake, and others have had multiples singles on that one format at once so it shouldn't have any affect on each other. Both songs are hot.

Agreed, REV. Countdown & Party have different sounds. Party is more laidback, while this is more upbeat, crazy Bee. I still think Party is the best song on the album, but whatever.

And right now, that's my favorite/most played (it changes every month though). Went from EOT to "Schoolin Life" to "I Care" and now it's this. :'(

From homorazzi.com As Beyonce counts down to the “B-Day” of her future “Destiny’s Child,” she has dropped “Countdown” as the third single from her ‘4‘ album. When I first heard the album, I knew that this would most definitely be one of her singles. The lyrics are very clever and the hip-hop rhythm (which has a little bit of a “Jumpin, Jumpin” feel) is certainly in line with other tracks she ends up making singles as well. Here’s are the lyrics to the countdown within “Countdown”: “My baby is a 10 / We dressing to the 9 / He pick me up we 8 / Make me feel so lucky / He kiss me in his 6 / We be making love at 5 / Still the one I do this 4 / I’m tryna make us 3 / From that 2 / He still the 1.” If I were to say one thing I don’t like about this song, it’s that it’s not quite up beat enough to dance to because the chorus slows everything down, and it’s not quite a mellow song either. After “Run The World (Girls),” my second favorite song on the album is by far “End Of Time,” and really hope that will be her fourth single. I’ve include this song for you to listen to below in addition to “Countdown”. Because Run The World is better. Y'all just don't realize it. hammer on the head. that was an interesting song. well at least production wise. albeit she stole a few ideas from MIA boyz (and watered them down) but this just sounds like same old beyonce. in a good way though....hope its a hit its a fun song and then EOT please

Really liking this song now. I still don't get why they didn't push End of Time though....that song is a jam! Yeah I listened to it this morning and i couldn't put my finger on it but now I know what it reminds me of: mashup of freakum dress, get me bodied, single ladies and some kelis or ciara song that was a fan favorite but never released. That said I prefer this at pop party would have a fast rise fast fall on pop. Can't wait for the video

Also Kelis and Ciara are way too different, I get the Ciara reference, but Kelis not so much, half of her stuff is not even R&B. Sorry if this sounds aggressive, I just can't sit tight when people categorize Kelis into the pop/r&b circle lol.
