Even though I skipped over their fifth and final album back in 2001, I do have their other four records. (also skipped over the Greatest hits too). I should get both of those to complete the collection. Though they were never really an albums artist for me, I'm definitely excited for new Cranberries. They were one of the first bands I loved when I first got into music and some of their singles, to me, are timeless. I'm highly looking forward to this.
I don't expect to be impressed, to be honest. I think I'm probably expecting a lot of the same from what they sounded like in the late 90s, early 2000s. But for nostalgic purposes, I'll make an effort to make room for them.

HELL TO THE YESSSSSSSSSSS!I LOVE The Cranberries. They're one of my favorite bands. I actually own Dolores's first solo album, Are You Listening?, and it's AMAZING. It has a dark pop/rock feel to it, it reminded me a little bit of Fallen-era Evanescence actually. She's one of my favorite vocalists. I'm definitely looking forward to this! :) And Mike, definitely check out their greatest hits album! I LOVE IT.

It leaked!
Instant love with this album. Can't stop listening to it. It doesn't have a lot of 'hits' but that doesn't matter.
I do think that "Tomorrow" was too safe of a choice for the first single.
"Raining In My Heart" should've been released first. I'm guessing it's the second single since they've been performing it a lot.
Also "Shizophrenic Playboy" is f**king awesome! Definitely needs to be released as a single. It's the only "Zombie" sounding song on the album.
My absolute favourite is "Astral Projection". It needed to grow on me a little because the chorus is so loud compared to the verses... but I absolutely love how nostalgic it sounds. Pure Cranberries.
The whole album just takes you back to the 90's.

Overall it's a good album but I wish hoping there would be more "Zombie"-esque songs. "Schizophrenic Playboy" MUST be a single though!

I love that the deluxe edition comes with a complete additional live disc with 16 songs, including most of their hits.

I love Schizophrenic Playboy, Waiting in Walthamstow and Show Me. The other tracks aren't really doing anything for me but it might change :)
I'm very surprised about Schizophrenic Playboy not being the first single.

The bonus tracks are so great. They should've added some to the regular edition. Like "Someday" "Always" "Stop Me".
They have an even more classic Cranberries sound.
One of my favourite songs of all time is "Animal Instinct". I wish they had a song like that on the album though.
But I'm very happy with the material they've released. So good that they're back!

It's a decent album. I think some of the songs would have the potential of matching their classics if there were enough people interested enough in them to make them successful to any degree. But alas, I think most of the people that bought this album are likely in it for some level of nostalgia than anything else, which sucks but I don't think there's really an audience for the Cranberries. It's a hit with me though. My review: www.themaxonline.net/2012/03/09/music-review-roses/
