We all would love for different singles to be released, but that's the labels job to handle.

I've actually thought about a concept for this video quite a bit since it was pretty clear this one would be a single at some point. I have always imagined this video having tons of cityscapes shot mostly in black & white on a digital backdrop with some vivid pops of color like Sin City.

Never liked the song besides the bridge but lately it's been clicking with me. It's a fun song, the choruses in the beginning are very non-eventful though.

Great single choice! Hopefully either 'Americano' &/or 'Scheiße' next, then 'Hair' to end off the era.

Oh boy.... I can already see how some people are going to start saying she's copying Madonna's Papa Don't Preach outfit.... If somebody made the comparison with Sienna Miller, I won't be surprised at all if they do it also with Gaga which has a history with that type of accusations....

The "Papa Don't Preach" look came into my mind as well, but this look as seen in the movie Grease on Olivia Newton-John's character of Sandy after her makeover (which predates even Madonna's look in the PDP video; I just edited this to make that distinction since some here may not know that) seems like it could be the actual inspiration for both of their looks. And it's always possible that it's a coincidence that her look is like that..

Years before I fell in love with Madonna back in 1985, I was in love with Olivia and especially that look. As I was typing my comment about Papa Don't Preach, I thought about Olivia too

This is the only single that I have liked from the start. I still hate "Born This Way", grew to like "Judas" but can't listen to it much and from there just ignored the album. I listened to the "The Edge of Glory" when I saw the thread come up and started liking it when my friends talked about it. And I hadn't had even heard "You & I" until it was announced as a single.
"Marry The Night" however was one of the songs that I did hear when the album came out but I do enjoy the Zedd Remix more.

Lady Gaga Shoots 'Marry The Night' Video In New York Cultural center CEO tells MTV News that Gaga was 'friendly and kind' during Staten Island video shoot. After multiple reports of Lady Gaga's Staten Island video shoot for "Marry the Night" hit the Net, MTV News has confirmed that the singer indeed shot her fifth Born This Way clip in her native New York. MTV News caught up with the CEO of the Snug Harbor Cultural Center, where the video was shot on Monday, to get some details about the "Marry the Night" visuals. "We found both her and her crew to be easy to work with and low-key," Lynn Kelly told us. "I think we would have expected a lot of drama, and the truth is, she is probably the most down-to-earth person. It was endearing. She was friendly and kind."
New York's Daily News reports that Gaga was spotted hiding behind a sheet in order to keep her video look concealed from the many onlookers who stopped to catch a glimpse of the star. According to tweets from passersby, dancers and extras were spotted dressed in multiple looks: some as ballerinas and others wearing leopard print. Gaga's mom was reportedly on set and spoke to some of the Little Monsters. While Gaga remained relatively hidden during the shoot, one fan tweeted that she was spotted sporting thick, black eyeliner with her hair done up. While she wouldn't reveal any insider details about the video, Kelly did have only the highest praise for Mother Monster. "I think, for us, we're so excited to have someone of her talent and to have somebody like that shoot here is a sheer honor," she said. "What her music does for music is so much more than entertainment. It's connecting to the arts on a much deeper level, and that's what I hope we can do here." MTV.com

I think she starts out with the hat outfit and then strips it all away at some point-you can tell the leather romper is underneath the coat. I LOVE that massive hat and I bet she will work the red dress thing.

I'm getting "LoveGame" vibes from the video (no not from her outfits). I like this but i wonder how it'll do coming off the lukewarm performance of "You and I".

This would be one of the worst decisions ever made. She's trying to rebound her status, not bury herself.

I'm loving those pix from the set of the video, looks like this one will be yet again phenom.
I don't really like this song as a single, though. It's not bad but a bit boring relative to the other options that were being put out there and it's very safe. I suppose safe is what Gagz needs right now given it's the fifth single and the latest one was a bit of a curve ball for pop radio.
