Thanks for posting the newly expanded Holiday 100. :) It was inevitable, I suppose. We now have an expanded history of tracks to crack the chart.
Some of those in top 25 streaming aren't ranked in the top 100 overall.

So I take it the Pentatonix "LDB" didn't take off until this past Monday?

Looks that way, even though the EP was released last week.

I'm surprised "Underneath The Tree" is that low though.

Some notable tracks are missing from the Hot 100- most notably, I'd think, "The Chipmunk Song." Judy Garland's "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is nowhere to be found (though there are three non-JG versions charting). Madge's 'Santa Baby" doesn't look to be performing as well as it had in recent years, while Eartha's original is up at 21. And, Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) is absent, while Mimi Carey's version is top 40.
Michael Buble has five entries, the most for a male- right behind him, fittingly, is Fran Sinatra with four. Amy Grant has the most entries (three) for a female.
Here's the top 25 of Holiday Airplay (which used the Hot 100 panel; in past years, it was just AC stations).

If my eyes don't deceive me, the song with the most versions in the top 100? "Sleigh Ride," with five. "It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas" "Let It Snow..." and 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" have four.
EDIT: Billboard also noted the feats of "Sleigh Ride" and Buble.
Billboard's Holiday Songs & Albums Charts Return By Gary Trust, New York | December 05, 2013
It's already looking a lot like Christmas on Billboard.com and Billboardbiz, as the Holiday 100 and Holiday Albums charts return, while a new seasonal ranking, Holiday Streaming Songs, launches.
Mariah Carey's 1994 carol "All I Want for Christmas Is You" crowns the Holiday 100 songs chart, which expands from 50 positions last year to 100 online. The chart employs the same Nielsen data-based airplay/streaming/sales hybrid methodology as the Billboard Hot 100, with holiday songs of all eras eligible to appear.
Carey's hit tops Holiday Digital Songs with 29,000 downloads sold (up 89%), according to Nielsen SoundScan, and Holiday Streaming Songs with 833,000 U.S. streams (up 71%), according to Nielsen BDS. It ranks at No. 4 on Holiday Airplay with 24.2 million audience impressions (up 127%), according to BDS. Brenda Lee's 1958 classic "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" (No. 2 on the Holiday 100) leads Holiday Airplay with 24.9 million in listenership. Holiday Digital Songs, Holiday Airplay and Holiday Streaming Songs will also appear on Billboard's websites through the holiday season.
Bobby Helms' "Jingle Bell Rock" (No. 3), Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You)" (No. 4) and Burl Ives' "A Holly Jolly Christmas" (No. 5) round out the Holiday 100's top five. Ariana Grande claims the chart's top holiday song released this season, "Love Is Everything," at No. 15. Also arriving in the top 40 are Pentatonix's "Little Drummer Boy" (No. 23), Grande's cover of Wham!'s "Last Christmas" (No. 32; the original ranks at No. 11), Kristen Bell, Agatha Lee Monn and Katie Lopez's "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?," from the soundtrack to the Disney film "Frozen," and Kelly Clarkson's "Underneath the Tree" (No. 34).
Not surprisingly, decades-old classics infuse the upper reaches of Holiday Airplay, while newer titles and more modern acts are more top-heavy on Holiday Digital Songs and Holiday Streaming Songs, as the latter two tallies cater more to active consumers. On Holiday Streaming Songs, especially notably, Carey, Michael Buble (three cuts) and Justin Bieber comprise the top five.
Buble boasts the most titles on the Holiday 100 (five), while "Sleigh Ride" is the chart's most popular title: five versions of the song deck the chart, courtesy of Leroy Anderson (No. 18), the Ronettes (No. 42), Carpenters (No. 78), Amy Grant (No. 87) and Air Supply (No. 98).

The weeks on for Chris Brown's "This Christmas" and Dan Fogelberg's "Same Old Lang Syne" are not correct; they never appeared in the top 50 in past seasons. Their Hot 100 weeks may have infiltrated the chart. haha
Of previous top 50 hits, reaching new peaks this week are:
* Jingle Bell Rock: 3 (previous peak, 4) * Sleigh Ride: 18(previous peak, 20) * Santa Baby: 22 (previous peak, 22) * (There's No Place Like} Home For the Holidays: 26 (previous peak, 42)

Observation: The original A Very Special Christmas is nowhere to be found on iTunes.
Whitney Houston's "Do You Hear What I Hear" is available as part of the Exhale EP, so at least that one has a presence. Also available via other means are Bruce Springsteen's "Merry Christmas Baby," Sting's "Gabriel's Message," Run-DMC's "Christmas in Hollis," Bob Seger's "Little Drummer Boy," Bon Jovi's "I Wish Every day Could Be Like Christmas" and Stevie Nicks' "Silent Night."
Not available: Pointer Sisters, "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" Eurythmics, "Winter Wonderland" The Pretenders, "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" John Cougar Mellencamp, "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" U2, "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" Madonna, "Santa Baby" Bryan Adams, "Run Rudolph Run" Alison Moyet, "The Coventry Carol"

I've noticed the Amp3 has quite of few complete albums, while iTunes still has them partial albums. Perhaps, Amazon cut a better deal? It is odd that this holiday classic isn't available on iTunes.

chartf, I also had sent a message to iTunes about the lack of availability.
It had been on iTunes each season prior to this, so wonder what happened.

Santa Baby (The Madonna version) is getting play this weekend on oldies stations as part of the 2005 re-airing of AT10's top 60 Christmas countdown

Not that there is a real point in thinking about it, but I really wonder where "AIWFCIY" would have peaked if eligible to chart in 2005. It hit #1 in Digital Songs that year, of course, but Christmas also fell on a Sunday that year meaning it would have had its highest airplay week possible in terms of impressions. I found where Holiday Guy posted this in 2007:
Considering "AIWFCIY" had a better downloads peak in 2005 and likely a better airplay week because of how Christmas fell, it obviously would have been top 10 in 2005. I would bet even top 5.

Probably top 10- digital sales were not as high in 2005, so it's not like it had a huge sales lead. For the week at No. 1, its sales total was roughly 41,300. No. 2 had 41,100, and No. 3 had 35,200. No. 10's total was 27,500. The sales divider at the time was 5 at the time, so top 10 probably is the most comfortable guesstimate.
Tis the charts and their ever-changing rules.

"Where Are You Christmas"? is the only other new holiday tune, post-AIWFCIY, that does fairly well year after year, but other than that, it's probably true about new holiday tunes.
EDIT: I also think it was a good move to have Faith Hill sing the track; if Mimi had, it may not have endured, as it would compete with Mimi's own holiday tune.

Nor should they. Christmas is about traditions and that carries over to music as well. White Christmas (for example) gets covered by hundreds of artists and a new version comes out virtually every year. The established tradition is that this is a Bing Crosby song and not a Kelly Clarkson song.

^Yeah, but it doesn't perform all that well in the big picture (probably because of lack of big AC play). It's one of the songs that pop radio gives good play too, though, during the week leading up to Christmas.

"WAYC?" doesn't get covered by other artists much, though. I think the articles were more about the songs themselves than any one artist/version. "AIWFCIY" has had a ton of artists from various genres cover it on record and/or live. And regardless of anyone hearing an N Sync song or whatever, the holiday charts show us that no new song has truly endured past a year or so in terms of airplay and downloads.

Even "WAYC?" isn't quite a standard; yes it does ok each year, but isn't it in the 30s on Holiday Songs? That's decent, but not standard-like to me. I guess the fact that it's a decade old and still doing that is strong, but it's not near the level of a "White Christmas" or "AIWFCIY."

When did the Holiday Airplay originally chart debut (2000, 2001...?)
Can't say I've seen it in the magazine, so it must be online only then.

The former Holiday Airplay chart used to be just AC stations; now, it's the whole Hot100 Airplay panel.
"Little Drummer Boy" will be No. 1 on this week's Holiday Songs, but AIWFCIY will return to the top on the next chart.

"The Chipmunk Song" returns. 'N Sync's track makes the biggest move (90-62). Some classics reach new peaks- i.e. "Santa Baby," which could be benefiting slightly because of the lack of iTunes availability of Madge's cover (I said slightly). Look at the peak listed net to No. 15. (the 6 should not be there)

Never did hear back from iTunes on the lack of availability for A Very Special Christmas. Interestingly, Amazon.com does not have the digitasl version, but rather just he physical. So, maybe it's a widespread digital issue.
