Comments: Because of FGL debuting a new song and not many recurrent songs ahead don't expect a lot of position movement this week as outside of the fast movers (Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band, and Brett Young) the rest of the songs in the Top 60 aren't exactly blazing on up the charts.
So let's start with the Top 10, where at the top we have a showdown between Chris Young/Cassadee Pope vs Dierks Bentley. Dierks Bentley started the week off with a little bit of a lead and even despite "Think Of You" rather inflated push to the top "Somewhere On A Beach" has kept the song in site. Now with CCUSA looking to highly benefit Dierks while not helping Chris, I'm going to give the slight leeway to Dierks but it's going to be close to say the least.
At #3 will be "Snapback" by Old Dominion. I imagine they're going to push for the top spot this next week now whether or not they get it remains to be determined as Old Dominion looks to be 3 million in audience away from Dierks as I imagine Dierks will be gaining while "Think Of You" will definitely start falling. Dustin Lynch meanwhile stays a safe distance away and looks to move up into the Top 5 with "Mind Reader". Rounding out the Top 5 looks to be either Blake Shelton "Came Here To Forget" which has really picked up the pace, and Tim McGraw "Humble and Kind" which is trying to fend off Blake but might not be able too. Last weeks #1 Florida Georgia Line "Confession" looks to fall all the way to #7 and I'm expecting it to leave next week along with another #1 in Rascal Flatts latest chart topper "I Like The Sound Of That". Luke Bryan looks to move up another rung with "Hunting Fishing and Loving Every Day". While rounding out the Top 10 for the second straight week will be Thomas Rhett with "T-Shirt" as he starts seeing Top 10 conversions.
Just out of the Top 10 we have Maren Morris with "My Church" as she tries to get herself back in the Top 10. For Maren unfortunately though she doesn't see a lot of gains especially for her section of the chart and she will need to pick up the pace real soon as Keith Urban is closing in. At #12 we have Kenny Chesney with "Noise". Despite rather weak sales (every song in the Top 15 is outselling Kenny), Kenny sees more progress but he's getting pretty much out gained by every song ahead of him besides the free fallers (FGL and Rascal Flatts) and Maren Morris. Keith Urban sees some great gains as he should easily pass Jon Pardi, and Keith is starting to set his sights on passing Kenny Chesney/Maren Morris. Jon Pardi "Head Over Boots" slows down this week and might have Jason Aldean to worry about next week. Eric Church and Jason Aldean will compete for the last spot in the Top 15 as "Record Year" tries to fend off the faster mover "Lights Come On". At #17 will be Chris Lane and his song "Fix" as he sees a better week. The new Top 20 arrival replacing "That Don't Sound Like You" will be Carrie Underwood with her fast rising song "Church Bells", Carrie Underwood should go up about 5 spots this week. Jake Owen slows down a little bit as he stays put at #19 and Frankie Ballard who will round out the Top 20, stays rather consistent with last week.
Outside the Top 20 and at #21 for the second week in a row will be David Nail with "Nights On Fire" as he is slightly down this week in gains to last week, I do think David can enter the Top 20 in his 40th week next week with two recurrent songs and only one pass looking likely to happen (FGL). Justin Moore sees basically nothing in gains and might be nearing the end of the road. We will have to see what the next few weeks hold for "You Look Like I Need A Drink". Dan + Shay meanwhile see a surge up and could get as high as #22 if they manage to pass Justin Moore. At #24 will be Canaan Smith "Hole In A Bottle", Canaan is on week 36 and I do think he will be leaving relatively shortly as this week sees Canaan with minimal gains. Rounding out the Top 25 will either be Kip Moore with "Running For You" which saw a rather flat week. Kip will have his bullet still but not any real movement. Florida Georgia Line with their new song H.O.L.Y will either debut at #25 or #26, as it begins fast start. Tucker Beathard sees very little in gains and I do wonder what will happen to this song once OTV is done.
Sam Hunt is starting to close in on Tucker, as William Michael Morgan catches his second wind still and stays firmly in the Top 30, Big & Rich is also on the move as well. Kelsea Ballerini "Peter Pan" is going to move closer to the guys in front of her (William and Big & Rich) as she separates herself from the slow movers of Drake White and Jennifer Nettles. Zac Brown Band and Brett Young should move up a few spots which will send back Billy Currington, Kane Brown, Cam, and Jordan Rager back a few notches as besides Billy Currington none of the rest are moving that much. LoCash is looking to move into the Top 40 as they see a nice surge this week for their section of the chart. Brandy Clark and High Valley get kicked out of the Top 40 with the sudden conversions of Brett Young and LoCash. Trace Adkins sees a decent week and with a little bit of luck could contend for a Top 40 placement next week. Brothers Osborne continue their slow climb as they also are slipping back a few spots. Sam Hunts non-single "Raised On It" continues to languish in the 40s. Granger Smith, and especially Randy Houser continue to very slowly move up following their past hits hitting the top ("Backroad Song" and "We Went" respectively).
Drew Baldridge runs the risk of losing his bullet possibly as he seems slightly likely to lose audience. Martina McBride with her album drop sees some audience gain but it won't be enough to set a new peak. Michael Ray seems to round out the Top 50 with a decent amount of movement. Brooke Eden's "Daddy's Money" (she is very slightly up,from last weeks gains) and Clare Dunn's "Tuxedo" (nearly going flat completely) see little movement and for Brooke Eden she will be kicked out of the Top 50, Craig Campbell picks the pace back up and might be able to pass the ladies. Jana Kramer sees her best week yet and should move up a few spots. Breaking Southwest continues to just hover around with "Ghost Town". "Wasn't That Drunk" the week the video is released is the week Josh & Carly see one of their best weeks yet and might be able to pass Charles Kelley who isn't moving as much this week. Old Dominion album track continue to hang around while I'm expecting new entries from Chris Stapleton "Parachute" and Easton Corbin "Are You With Me" as both men see good progress.
Parmalee "Roots" looks to just miss out on the chart as A Thousand Horses and Tara Thompson are going to be pushed out as neither one see any real movement, Olivia Lane still can't manage to get in. Hillary Scott is preparing for her add date as Chris Janson gets ready to begin as his add date is tomorrow. Maddie & Tae new song "Sierra" is also starting to get played. Matt Gary also in Olivia Lane's boat about not quite being able to get in. Brett Eldredge should soon have an add date and will probably take off afterwards. LANco continues to wait on the bottom while preparing for their add date, and finally songs from Trailer Choir and Randy Rodger Band continue to have not much audience at all.
Songs that I see going recurrent/leaving soon: Rascal Flatts I Like The Sound Of That Florida Georgia Line Confession David Nail Nights On Fire Canaan Smith Hole In A Bottle (both these two songs are really old and I don't see either lasting much longer) Justin Moore You Look Like I Need A Drink? Sam Hunt Raised On It? Clare Dunn Tuxedo? Old Dominion Beer Can In A Truck Bed? Breaking Southwest Ghost Town? (All the songs with question marks are ones that I'm not entirely sure but could leave in the coming weeks as Justin Moore struggles, Sam Hunt, Old Dominion, and Breaking Southwest don't really have many stations with them, and Clare has terrible research) With songs from Hillary Scott, Maddie & Tae, Chris Janson, Brett Eldredge, Cole Swindell (he'll be on next week guaranteed), Thompson Square, Josh Turner and songs this month also coming from Mickey Guyton, Cassadee Pope and probably a new song from Gary Allan. There is a lot coming and some artists I guarantee are going to lose momentum or be lost in the shuffle if they aren't already (Brooke Eden and Randy Houser being prime examples of that). A lot of stars/acts looking to regain momentum are releasing new music and It's hard to find songs that are looking ready to go recurrent or drop out. Definitely fun to watch though.

I knew the song was something along those lines. Hey but besides that I did a pretty good job right? Of course your work is noticed. Just don't try and go out of your way to please anyone. Just try your best with these predictions and let it be. I write occasional articles for a radio station and you'd be surprise how critical people are out there for the slightest grammatical error. You have to double and triple check, that's all. We've all made typos before though.

Comments: The chart clog is really in full effect right now as we are seeing a lot of songs trying to fit on the chart and with nobody being that willing to drop off it leaves the chart even further congested. We are seeing it right now as despite two Top 10 entries leaving (Rascal Flatts and FGL) we got two songs having huge debuts (Cole Swindell and Lee Brice/Jerrod Niemann) so the charts are jam packed with major label artists just struggling to stay on the chart (Jana Kramer, A Thousand Horses, Clare Dunn). But enough about that lets move into the analysis.
- Dierks Bentley surges ahead to claim the top spot this week and with the large audience gap between him and Old Dominion, I'm expecting "Somewhere On A Beach".
- "Snapback" has probably only one scenario where it can hit the top and that's if Dierks Bentley begins to falling next week but I have doubts that will happen as Dierks has him album coming out soon enough and I can see the label riding out "Somewhere On A Beach" for another week or two.
- Chris Young & Cassadee Pope will fall down to #2 or #3 with their duet "Think Of You" as that song begins to fall and we should see new songs from both of them, this will be the songs second to last week.
- Spending another week at #4 is Dustin Lynch with "Mind Reader" and the song still looks like a strong #1 contender as unless Dierks Bentley holds on for a couple of weeks I see no way how "Mind Reader" doesn't hit the top. - At #5 is Blake Shelton "Came Here To Forget" as he sees some nice Top 5 conversions and should spend at least a week at the top when Dustin/Old Dominion/Dierks clear out.
- Thomas Rhett comes in at #6 or #7 depending on whether or not he passes Tim McGraw as he sees some high Top 10 conversions and should also be honored with the greatest gainer.
- "Humble and Kind" didn't have necessarily a bad week but it doesn't look like this week will be the week Tim gets the Top 5 and I don't think next week will be either.
- Luke Bryan will stay put at #8 but has made some ground on Tim McGraw so it'll be interesting to see if both men can hit the top.
- Maren Morris "My Church" will hit the Top 10 but Maren still hasn't seen a lot of progress and I think she's in a little bit of trouble I'm not going to lie,
- Kenny Chesney will round out the Top 10 with "Noise" but that song is having it even worst than Maren as Kenny looks to barely keep his bullet. I wonder how Kenny Chesney and Maren Morris will do with the upcoming competition coming in fast (Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, and Carrie Underwood)
- Keith Urban hits the breaks as he has a slower week than last week but can probably hit the Top 10 next week with him in range of Kenny and Maren.
- Jon Pardi meanwhile really struggles as he is also looking to barely keep his bullet and also runs the slight chance that Jason Aldean "Lights Come On" passes "Head Over Boots" as Jason is doing very well for his part of the chart.
- Eric Church sees a good week in the Top 20 and he should enter the Top 15 at #14.
- Carrie Underwood should pick up a few spots and land as it should get #15 as Carrie should easily pass Chris Lane.
- "Fix" meanwhile struggles to make much more progress and I honestly think "Fix" might not last much longer.
- Frankie Ballard might be able to barely sneak back ahead of Jake Owen as "American Country Love Song" slows down and Frankie picks up the pace.
- David Nail will enter the Top 20 in his 40th week with "Nights On Fire" at this point I can see this song peaking that his previous single did ("Kiss You Tonight") peaking around the #16-#19 range.
- Justin Moore makes a full recovery and makes the last spot in the Top 20 passing a slower week Dan + Shay who is just outside the Top 20.
- Kip Moore sees a nice week and still has a chance at hitting the Top 20. He is also going to pass Canaan Smith and Top 20 well within reach. - Canaan Smith in his 38th week moves up to #23 more than likely but he does have the chance of fast movers Sam Hunt and/or FGL passing him somehow.
- Tucker Beathard "Rock On" doesn't move much as he gets passed and doesn't seem to be sparking much interest as sales still aren't that great.
- Zac Brown Band looks to easily enter the Top 30 and could possibly move ahead of the slower movers William Michael Morgan and Big & Rich although Big & Rich has seen a particularly strong week in gains
- Kelsea Ballerini "Peter Pan" rounds out the Top 30 due to a lack of competition.
- Drake White, Jennifer Nettles, and Billy Currington continue to make very little progress although Drake White should repass "Unlove You".
- Cole Swindell "Middle Of A Memory" thanks to iHeartMedia should debut at #33 or #34 depending on whether not Cole can get ahead of Billy Currington.
- Brett Young "Sleep Without You" Cam "Mayday" and LoCash "I Know Somebody" all look to finish closely as Brett Young and LoCash are outpacing Cam
- Kane Brown looks to lose his bullet this week and fall back a couple of spots.
- Thanks to a sort of iHeartMedia debut look for Jerrod Niemann & Lee Brice to debut inside the Top 40 and for Brandy Clark to re-enter the Top 40.
- Jordan Rager looks to lose his bullet and might actually be sent recurrent next week if he can't recover.
- Trace Adkins, Sam Hunt and High Valley stay in place and not much in movement.
- Granger Smith should pass Brothers Osborne who are really struggling right now.
- Randy Houser should move back to #47 while Martina McBride moves up a little more but I still believe #47 will be her peak for "Reckless".
- Michael Ray moves up a little more in audience while Craig Campbell enters the Top 50 in his fourth week.
- Charles Kelly "Lonely Girl" might be able to pass a more than likely bulletless Drew Baldridge "Dance With Ya".
- Chris Stapleton will move up a few positions along with "Wasn't That Drunk" by Josh Abbott Band & Carly Pearce.
- Breaking Southwest "Ghost Town" continues to not do much as expected. Clare Dunn might lose her bullet as she struggles.
- Easton Corbin is doing very well with his ballad "Are You With Me" as it hasn't even had it's add date. The same thing can't be said for Brooke Eden "Daddy's Money" as it looks like she is in freefall and this should be her last week on the chart.
- Finally new entries from Parmalee and Chris Janson with their new songs "Roots" and "Holdin' Her" respectively.
- Jana Kramer bled some audience out and she looks like she will be kicked out of the Top 60 for now.
- A Thousand Horses & Tara Thompson meanwhile also struggle to get back on the chart and it doesn't look like it's going to happen this week. Olivia Lane and Old Dominion's album track "Beer Can In A Truck Bed" look to be below the Top 60 as well this week.
- Keith Urban & Carrie Underwood "The Fighter" will more than likely appear on New & Active and I'm willing to bet that'll be a future single.
- Hillary Scott & Maddie & Tae get ready for their add date along with Brett Eldredge. Definitely curious to see how each song ends up peaking - Finally the indie songs of Trailer Choir, Aaron Watson, Randy Rodgers Band, and Blackjack Billy continue to not see that much audience.
Songs I see Going Recurrent soon Chris Young & Cassadee Pope Think Of You Chris Lane Fix? (this needs to pick up the pace) David Nail Nights On Fire (Radio will eventually let this stall out as its spent so long) Canaan Smith Hole In A Bottle (read above) Jordan Rager & Jason Aldean Southern Boy (I honestly believe when Jason Aldean released his solo single that really hindered this song) Sam Hunt Raised On It (unsolicited airplay can only last so long right?!) Martina McBride Reckless (unless they give this an add date and some more stations this won't last much longer) Drew Baldridge Dance With Ya (I just think it's reaching the end of the road) Breaking Southwest Ghost Town (read Martina McBride) Clare Dunn Tuxedo (terrible research is still hindering this song Brooke Eden Daddy's Money (on it's way out I'm about 95 percent sure at least since songs don't usually lose over 60 spins in a week and recover)
Songs I See Entering The Top 60 Soon Brett Eldredge Wanna Be That Song A Thousand Horses Southernality Jana Kramer Said No One Ever Brad Paisley & Demi Lovato Without A Fight (I think this will get an iHeart debut) Tara Thompson Someone To Take Your Place Hillary Scott Thy Will
If there's another thing that's interesting is we should/will have new songs soon from Thompson Square, Cassadee Pope, Chris Young, Mickey Guyton, Josh Turner, Craig Morgan and I think Chase Bryant will have a new song soon enough. It seems like almost every major label artist has a song or is just about too (except for some of my favorites like Lindsay Ell, Lauren Alaina and Danielle Bradbery but oh well). The chart clog will continue and I find it astonishing how long it might last.

Comments: The chart clog is in full effect, as we only have 1 song leaving (Brooke Eden "Daddy's Money"). What also isn't really helping is no one is looking really weak or if they are it's songs with albums coming out soon so the label will stick with the song ("It All Started With A Beer" "Noise" "My Church" "Girl Next Door") then there are songs that are weak but I don't see the label giving up anytime soon (Randy Houser, Granger Smith) and a lot of marathon chart runners are actually doing pretty well (David Nail, Canaan Smith). The only songs I think are reaching the end of the road is possibly Kip Moore, I also think Jordan Rager "Southern Boy" could be in trouble. But I'll explain later.
Let's start with the top 10, Dierks Bentley "Somewhere On A Beach" is going to spend a second week at #1 as Dierks prepares for his album Black. Now I do think Dierks will begin freefall mode next week as Dierks has such high levels of airplay and I don't see Capitol managing another week at the top as Old Dominion and Dustin Lynch will be making their move next week to the top. The only reason I can see Capitol keeping "Somewhere On A Beach" afloat is maybe just try for a third week and keep Dierks at such high levels of AirPlay so when Black comes out Dierks will have a large presence. But I doubt it. The battle for #2 is on between Dustin Lynch "Mind Reader" and Old Dominion "Snapback", Old Dominion has hit the brakes while Dustin has caught up. Old Dominion or Dustin Lynch will hit the top and then the week after both I guarantee will be dropping. Blake Shelton will hit the top once Old Dominion/Dustin Lynch clear out. Now I do wonder if Warner Brothers plays nice and let Thomas Rhett have a week at the top as Thomas will be next in line to hit the top, but this week Thomas will round out the Top 5.
Chris Young & Cassadee Pope will spend their final week as both artists get ready to release new solo singles (Cassadee Pope will release "Summer" next month while Chris Young will have a new song soon enough). Tim McGraw is still hanging in there but his Top 10 conversions aren't as good as Luke Bryan and Luke has a chance to pass Tim this week knocking Tim back a couple of spots. All the songs hanging in the 9-11 range see slow weeks as Keith Urban loses the hype from his album and Kenny Chesney and Maren Morris still see resistance from radio as the former has low sales and the former doesn't have the greatest research. Jason Aldean is looking likely to enter the Top 10 next week if he can pass Kenny/Maren and Jason is certainly in range.
Jon Pardi slows down again just outside the Top 10, hopefully Jon Pardi can make more progress as outside of Carrie Underwood no one is really closing in on Jon real quickly. Speaking of Carrie Underwood she continues to move good progress and next week can be at #12 if she can pass Jon Pardi (Chris & Cassadee will be going recurrent). Eric Church will round out the Top 15 with "Record Year". Right outside the Top 15 is Chris Lane "Fix" with him in it for the long stretch. David Nail has seen a surge for the second straight week again and has the chance to repass Jake Owen. Jake Owen mysteriously slows down as FGL "H.O.L.Y" should move up 5-6 spots depending if the boys can pass the struggling Frankie Ballard as Frankie runs the slight chance of losing his bullet, which is definitely not a good sign but with his album coming out he will be around for a while longer.
Justin Moore is kicked out of the Top 20 and Dan + Shay is closing in on "You Look Like I Need A Drink". Canaan Smith sees some life and will move up to #23. Kip Moore "Running For You" brakes down hard and might be near the end. Sam Hunt sees a little progress and might be able to sneak ahead of Kip. Tucker Beathard "Rock On" continues to move slowly and I wonder how much longer he lasts after OTV is done.
William Michael Morgan, Big & Rich Zac Brown Band, and Kelsea Ballerini slowly gain audience this week, while due to hourly spins Brad Paisley & Demi Lovato's new song "Without A Fight" looks to debut comfortably just inside the Top 30. The struggle out of the Top 30 continues as neither Jennifer Nettles nor Drake White or Billy Currington. It also looks like "It Don't Hurt Like It Used To" is slipping a little behind in audience and I'm expecting him to lose his bullet. Brett Young sees more progress along with LoCash and Cam is also staying with the guys. Kane Brown still sees no movement basically and stays put. Brandy Clark and Jordan Rager continue to really struggle. But there is good news for both of them as Jordan Rager has re-entered the MB Top 40 and I imagine Brandy Clark will get more spins the week her album is out. But both songs are definitely struggling that's for sure.
Cole Swindell has second week hangover syndrome, while Brothers Osborne sees their best week in forever. "Raised On It" should get a grace week and will hopefully be gone soon, while High Valley continues to see slow but steady movement, Trace Adkins will also be another song to lose his bullet and he's honestly near the end. Granger Smith and Randy Houser also move very slowly. Granger should keep his bullet but Randy runs the risk of his bullet.
Martina McBride "Reckless" slowly moves up, but I will not be surprised if Nash Icon gives up any week. Chris Janson has a chance to enter the Top 50 but he faces stiff competition from Drew Baldridge who will get his bullet back and Chris Stapleton's new song "Parachute".
Craig Campbell will slip a couple of notches but he had an ok week, and Michael Ray has had a second straight flat week in a row but this time he's going to get pushed out of the Top 50. One song that had a great week was Josh Abbott & Carly Pearce's "Wasn't That Drunk" and if they can score another good week they could be serious threats to crack the Top 50. Jerrod Niemann & Lee Brice go through hangover week. Charles Kelley slows to a crawl this week which he'll need to pick up the pace next week. Clare Dunn will get her bullet back but due to lack of recurrent songs "Tuxedo" isn't setting a new peak this week, and Parmalee should see a couple spot gain but their song is off to a particularly strong start. Breaking Southwest "Ghost Town" will lose the bullet and this could be their last week temporarily on the AirPlay Chart. Finally Easton Corbin should round out The Top 60.
Old Dominion will just miss out on hitting the Top 60 this week with unsolicited AirPlay. While Jana Kramer, A Thousand Horses, Tara Thompson, and Olivia Lane still struggle greatly too make much progress in audience. Chris Stapleton "Tennessee Whiskey" gets unsolicited airplay still. New group Runaway June is looking to probably be on New & Active and it still over a week when the ladies add date hits. David Ray and Matt Gary remain presences in the New & Active. Brett Eldredge gears up for his add date with his song "Wanna Be That Song".
Due to a Voice performance and selling well Blake Shelton and his duet with girlfriend Gwen Stefani "Go Ahead And Break My Heart" is getting some early AirPlay and I have a sneaking suspicion that this song will be Blake's new single. Justin Timberlake's hot selling new pop song "Can't Stop The Feeling" also gets some radio plays because why not. Maddie & Tae are ready for their add date with "Sierra" and hopefully radio gives these girls a hit although I have doubts. Hillary Scott "Thy Will" doesn't have very much audience along with the latest from LANco "Long Live Tonight", Trailer Choir "Ice Cold Summer", Aaron Watson "Blue Bonnets" , Blackjack Billy "The Booze Cruise", and Randy Rodgers Band "Neon Blues" and I doubt any will chart or at least not anytime soon. Newly released songs from Josh Turner and Craig Morgan get some early plays and should be interesting to see how both men do. Finally despite being one of the hottest selling songs "The Fighter" by Keith Urban & Carrie Underwood slips down a little, bit.
Songs I See Going Recurrent Soon Chris Young & Cassadee Pope Think Of You Kip Moore Running For You? (Next week is going to temporarily decide whether or not this will last) Drake White Living The Dream? (The next few weeks will decide this ones fate) Jordan Rager Southern Boy (despite picking up CT40 spins next week I don't have a good feeling this will last a lot longer) Trace Adkins Jesus and Jones Sam Hunt Raised On It Martina McBride Reckless (just a feeling that Nash Icon will soon drop this) Clare Dunn Tuxedo (absolutely awful research means radio won't play this much more) Breaking Southwest Ghost Town
Songs that will enter in the Next few weeks Jana Kramer Said No One Ever Old Dominion Beer Can In A Truck Bed Brett Eldredge Wanna Be That Song Runaway June Lipstick Maddie & Tae Sierra Josh Turner Hometown Girl
With new music from Dierks Bentley (he'll get another iHeartRadio deal), Thompson Square, Joe Nichols, Cassadee Pope, Lauren Alaina, Levi Hummon and new singles probably coming soon from Mickey Guyton, Chase Bryant, and Miranda Lambert (Windmills Country said that Miranda will probably release a song in June/July so I expect that get an iHeartRadio deal when it's inevitably released). Safe to assume the chart clog isn't going to be going away anytime soon, and some songs are bound to get lost in the shuffle if they haven't already (Brandy Clark, Drew Baldridge, Randy Houser, Granger Smith, Drake White,Clare Dunn). Tons of artists trying to fit on the chart and a lot of stubborn songs refusing to leave due to some nice movement after taking forever on the chart (David Nail, Canaan Smith and William Michael Morgan although I don't really blame those songs). This summer is going to be fun as nearly every artist signed to a country label is going to go at it. I'm a little thankful that a couple of my favorite artists probably aren't going to release new songs (Danielle Bradbery, Lindsay Ell, and Kellie Pickler) anytime soon.

Going Recurrent or Leaving or Dropping Out Chris Young & Cassadee Pope Think Of You Peak #1 Weeks: 21 Canaan Smith Hole In A Bottle Peak #23 Weeks: 40 (70% chance of going recurrent) Big & Rich Loving Lately Peak #27 Weeks: 20 (80% chance of going recurrent) (still being promoted however so it will probably return) Trace Adkins Jesus and Jones Peak #41 Weeks 18
Comments: Canaan Smith will need "Hole In A Bottle" to rebullet and it looks to be not quite all that close as Canaan's Monday update really looks to have done him in there's a chance he stays but I have doubts. For Big & Rich they need some real luck as they've also not seen a good update this week and it might be the end for them as well.
The chart clog has looked like it's taken its first two victims, as it appears Trace Adkins "Jesus and Jones" has officially given up coming up just short of the Top 40 and Big & Rich look to have come to an end with "Loving Lately". The songs joining Trace and Big & Rich is "Think Of You" by Chris Young & Cassadee Pope which ends a really solid run to the top of the chart and Canaan Smith's "Hole In A Bottle" which after 40 weeks climbing looks to have gotten all the way to #23 before the sales look to have finally come back to bite this one as the sales have in general sucked. For Trace I don't have any idea when he'll release a new song although it does appear Wheelhouse Records doesn't have a ton on their plate as Runaway June and Granger Smith are the only artists with songs so they might have a new song from Trace out soon. Big & Rich I think will probably have a new song in the fall would be my guest if they are done with "Loving Lately". Chris Young has just announced his new song "Sober Saturday Night" with guest Vince Gill. Cassadee Pope also has her new song with "Summer" and an EP coming out this Friday. Canaan will probably try one more song off the album but it'll definitely be a long chart run for whatever's next.
Now let's start with our top 10 where Blake Shelton looks to move 4-1 to claim the top spot which we can expect a new song from his album (frontrunners are "Go Ahead And Break My Heart" and "She's Got A Way With Words") look for Old Dominion too spend a final week at #2 or at #3 depending if Thomas Rhett will pass them with "T-Shirt". Thomas is a clear frontrunner for the top spot and I expect him to get his one week at the top. Luke Bryan will enter the Top 5 and should move up to #2 next week with "Hunting Fishing and Loving Every Day". Tim McGraw will enter the Top 5 but it appears it's going to take a Big Machine like push to challenge the top spot as Tim is running on fumes it appears. Dustin Lynch spends his last week along with Dierks, expect Dustin to have a new song out this summer sometime.
Keith Urban moves to #8 and is a safe distance from all the competition that I have a feeling he could get multiple weeks at the top. Maren Morris "My Church" sees a stronger week as a whole but she might be stuck at #10 if Jason Aldean makes the pass. Speaking of Jason Aldean, "Lights Come On" will easily enter the Top 10 and could possibly go high as #6 next week.
Kenny Chesney will get his bullet back but he still has a really rough road ahead as FGL and Carrie Underwood close in (FGL especially). Carrie herself should make the pass on Jon Pardi, "Church Bells is one of the three frontrunners to enter the Top 10 (the others being "Noise" and "H.O.L.Y") Carrie is still doing very well however. Jon Pardi on the other hand is not doing very well at all as he sees rather snail movement as I think the max he can pull off is a Top 10 but he's inching closer too his first AirPlay Top 10 with "Head Over Boots" so it'll be a nice accomplishment. FGL looks to pass Eric Church "Record Year" and enter the Top 15 at #14 while Eric doesn't have a bad week at all, just Florida Georgia Line is red hot right now.
Chris Lane "Fix" is picking the pace up a little bit, but isn't moving a lot regardless as he looks to be stalling out in the teens possibly. Jake Owen slows down a little bit while David Nail really closes the gap between the two men and might be able to sneak ahead of Jake Owen. Frankie Ballard is flat and might be stalling out while Sam Hunt has really put the pedal to the medal and has a good chance of entering the Top 20 with Justin Moore in the hunt as well, unfortunately one of the men will be left outside of the Top 20 at #21 with Justin being the frontrunner to missing out.
Dan + Shay "From The Ground Up", Kip Moore "Running For You" see little in gains and for Kip, it could very well be the end soon enough. Tucker Beathard will be spending his second week without a bullet which means he is eligible for recurrent status. I imagine Big Machine/Dot will get this song to re-bullet but it looks like radio won't bite with this one.
Kelsea Ballerini "Peter Pan" and William Michael Morgan "I Met A Girl" see nice gains and are closing in on Tucker along with Zac Brown Band, but none of them are any match for Brad Paisley/Demi Lovato "Without A Fight" who look to easily snag into the top 30 but the sales are concerning since only Big & Rich and Canaan Smith have worst sales in the Top 30 (and neither of them are really making much noise as of this moment).
Jennifer Nettles should enter the Top 30 and with the voice performance and the sales still standing strong Jennifer might still have some fight in her. Drake White and Billy Currington look to duke it out for the last spot with Drake having the slight edge. Dierks Bentley/Elle King will debut well in the Top 40 with "Different For Girls". LoCash and Brett Young move up to #33 and #34 respectively with nice gains.
With Kane Brown likely to lose his bullet, Cam not making much progress at all in fact this could be her final week and the oncoming movement of Cole Swindell, Brothers Osborne (especially) and Brandy Clark look for songs #35-#39 to be close in audience Jordan Rager doesn't move at all as radio stations would rather play a full on Jason Aldean instead of one that half features him and it appears "Southern Boy" has done all it's going to do. Newcomer High Valley still can't quite seem to make room for the Top 40 as they go flat. Granger Smith "If The Boot Fits" sees his best week yet and might have some more room to grow. Chris Stapleton will move to #43 or #42 depending if he can pass Granger and is doing really good compared to the other songs in the 40s.
Brett Eldredge will easily land in the top 50 effortlessly and should be at #44. Maddie & Tae look to launch themselves well into the Top 50 with "Sierra" as the girls are on a particularly strong start that I can't help but find puzzling. Jerrod Niemann/Lee Brice completely stopped and will be set back a little bit but is still really early for them. Craig Campbell and Randy Houser (he will probably lose his bullet) next as Craig slowly moves ahead and Randy slowly falls behind. Drew Baldridge looks to be nearing the end as Michael Ray still slowly hangs in there.
Chris Janson is flat again this week with "Holding Her" Martina McBride "Reckless" is still stubbornly holding onto the chart surprisingly enough and should be brought back in the Top 50. Josh Abbott Band/Carly Pearce will lose their bullet and their spot in the Top 50 and some positions in general. If "Wasn't That Drunk" gonna remotely be a hit song it's going to be a long journey.
Clare Dunn sees a better week than past but Clare can't seem to get out of the Top 50 at all and I doubt either her or Charles Kelley who really seems to struggle this week will even hit the Top 50 if they manage to. Parmalee feels the effect of the chart clog as the guys see not much gains although they might be able to pass Charles Kelley. Jana Kramer seems set to re-enter and Runaway June will sneak into the chart as the ladies are off to a pretty decent start.
Tara Thompson and Breaking Southwest can't seem to get back on the chart (although it appears Tara is about done). Chris Stapleton remains below as well with "Tennessee Whiskey". The album track duets also are sticking around Blake & Gwen, Keith & Carrie and now Dierks & Maren. Josh Turner looks to get ready for a big add date but don't expect him to hit the chart till next week. Olivia Lane is more than likely done as she came up just shy of charting a little while ago. Thompson Square "You Make It Look So Good", Cassadee Pope "Summer", Gary Allan "Do You Wish It Was Me", and Joe Nichols "Undone" all get early radio play well before their add dates. It remains to be seen how any of them do (out of them all I see Cassadee Pope, Joe Nichols and T2 with the most hit potential). Chris Young new single is also off too a good start especially since it was just announced this week as a single and should be in the Top 60 relatively soon.
Craig Morgan, Hillary Scott still struggle to build much of any audience and I doubt either of them chart unless they really start pulling ads. LANco meanwhile still stays put with an add fate in July I think? The Cadillac Three is off to a slow start since their add date is this Monday and I have reservations of them getting a hit. Finally non presences Aaron Watson, Blackjack Billy, Trailer Choir, and Randy Rodgers Band.
Songs I See Going Recurrent Soon Old Dominion Snapback Dustin Lynch Mind Reader Dierks Bentley Somewhere On A Beach Maren Morris My Church Kenny Chesney Noise Kip Moore Running For You Jordan Rager & Jason Aldean Southern Boy Trace Adkins Jesus & Jones Randy Houser Song Number 7 Martina McBride Reckless Clare Dunn Tuxedo Old Dominion Beer Can In A Truck Bed
Songs that will enter in the Next few weeks Josh Turner Hometown Girl Blake Shelton She's Got A Way With Words* Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Go Ahead And Break My Heart* Chris Young (Featuring Vince Gil) Sober Saturday Night Thompson Square You Make It Look So Good Cassadee Pope Summer *Depends on which is announced as both are the obvious frontrunners

We will have a record that stood since late 1971 fall and that is the male with the most consecutive #1 hits. Blake Shelton will move into first place while Sonny James will fall to second (Shelton's 17 vs. James' 16). Congratulations, Shelton on the impressive chart achievement and the history that goes with it.

Oh I have forgot to mention that I won't be doing predictions this summer since my Internet usage will be rather limited. So there might be the occasional one but for the most part don't expect much.
Having said that it looks like we will have some real movement on the chart this week as Dustin Lynch and Canaan Smith look dead set on going recurrent.

Don't worry I'll be back in the fall just a summer hiatus since my internet will be limited starting tomorrow and probably not be back till early September.

I see we are gonna have a little bit of a housecleaning this week as Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton (Came Here To Forget), Cam, Randy Houser and Kane Brown will all leave, and the good news we have plenty of potential new entries, as I see the following songs potentially entering next week.
Thompson Square "You Make It Look So Good" Cassadee Pope "Summer" Joe Nichols "Undone" Dustin Lynch "Seein' Red" The Cadillac Three "Drunk Like You" Olivia Lane "Make My Own Sunshine" Gary Allan "Do You Wish It Was Me" Tara Thompson "Someone To Take Your Place" Mickey Guyton "Heartbreak Song" Eli Young Band "Saltwater Gospel" Craig Morgan "I'll Be Home Soon" Maren Morris "80's Mercedes" The Last Bandoleros "Where Do You Go?"
I think Dustin Lynch and Thompson Square will both easily get in, and out of the rest Cassadee Pope, Gary Allan, and Joe Nichols are the other faves to get in as well.

I think you meant Blake Shelton She's Got A Way With Words not Came Here To Forget at 22-23. Just woke up and Came Here To Forget was on the radio. I'll fix it.

I'll fix it in just a second. There it's fixed!

If you took "Fix" out of the top 10 and put Jake in there it would be one of the best top 10's in a long time.

Fingers crossed that Jason catches the BB #1, so hopefully Keith and Jason fall this week so Carrie can the #1 before FGL catches up!

Fingers crossed that Jason catches the BB #1, so hopefully Keith and Jason fall this week so Carrie can the #1 before FGL catches up! Even if Jason Aldean gets the #1, he will still go for the MB #1 this week. Carrie Underwood is clearly not pushing for the top this week. Also FGL is not a threat as they are over 5 million in audience behind Carrie.

We need a housecleaning and badly. No one in the Top 50 left which when you have an iHeartMedia debut, and a fast mover in Maren Morris, you see absolute no movement.
Next week looks to have possible relief, Thomas Rhett ("T-Shirt") and Luke Bryan are all but guarantees to leave next week. I do think Jordan Rager and Jennifer Nettles look very likely to leave next week (unfortunately). Technically speaking Maddie & Tae are in danger of going recurrent. Also there's a lot of weak songs like Frankie Ballard, Clare Dunn, Brandy Clark, Parmalee, (haven't gotten a single add the past 2 weeks now) and I do think songs from Kip Moore, Drew Baldridge and David Nail all won't last much longer. Hopefully these songs start giving up soon.

raylatch98, you only have 59 songs in your top 60 :) I noticed that you only had 2 songs in the 55-57 spots, so you need to add one more song in the 50's somewhere. :) Otherwise, a great read!

Crap I forgot Parmalee "Roots" they are right below Thompson Square in my prediction I'll fix it in just a second. There we go fixed. Also it means a lot to me coming from someone who used to do these predictions.

Mondays BB chart is gonna be stuffed, tomorrow I will be doing predictions but for a lot of songs it is not looking good this week.
Frankie Ballard is the only surefire recurrent. But besides that no one else is going to leave. Keith Urban will get one final week along with David Nail. Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean are guarnteed 2 chart appearances. The good news is all 4 will be out the door in 2 weeks. Along with that we still have a lot of songs not doing much of anything. I think we will soon see songs from Jordan Rager (today's update could be the nail in the coffin), Kip Moore (It will probably be in the MB Top 15 Sunday and I imagine MCA Nashville will be satisfied with that), and maybe Jon Pardi and/or Jennifer Nettles (Jon is moving way too slow in the Top 10 and Jennifer is struggling to stay afloat).
With new songs soon from Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan (he will probably debut this week with "Move"), Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line coming soon, a lot of these older songs that aren't making much progress (Jordan, Kip, Jennifer, Big & Rich, Jon Pardi, Clare Dunn hopefully) need to hopefully give up within the next few weeks.
