I always find it amusing when people are so concerned about how Carrie is overlooked or snubbed as some have termed it. I relate how Carrie is treated to Toby Keith. He once won everything and then not at all. I loved his reaction to it by flipping them all off and becoming one of the most successful artists by diversifying his portfolio. He showed how it really does not matter about awards or critics but what matters is maintaining fan loyalty, continuing to grow, and investing his money wisely in multiple endeavors in other areas. He is the top country bread earner even over Taylor...in fact he owns a piece of her $$ through his break away deal with SB and BM. Carrie is able to do the same if she so chooses to but that is up to her. I dislike when people try to defend her.. to me it makes others who are not fans look at her as if she is weak on her own and a cry baby when it actually is not her but her fans.. Carrie is quite capable of being all who she wants to be and do, but; the question needs to be answered by her only...what all does she want? Perhaps she is happy right where she is now and does not need anymore or perhaps she wants to reach for the stars...only she can answer this and I for one will be happy for her no matter what I think she should do or not do or receive and not receive. Carrie is her own person and if she is tired of being stomped on or feels overlooked then she will have to decide on her own how "to flip them all off" and become successful without the awards just like Toby did...not her fans. And you know what? I think she is doing that slowly but surely on her own right now. She does not need accolades from anyone other than her fans to be successful and pertinent to any music genre! JMO I think you're preaching to the choir, we all know Carrie is very successful, judging by the $31 million she made last year. That's more than the other 10 Idol winners combined. It's all good in Carrie world financially, hit wise, album sales, concert sales, you name it. But, having said that, to not have an EOTY nod in over 8 years from the same organization that just loves her as a host of their own show, while less successful artists get nominated and rewarded is embarrassing. If her fans don't speak up, who will? If she's fine wth not being nominated or even winning vocalist awards, that's fine. But, I'm thinking she thinks it's political and IMHO, it is and it's getting really obvious.

Sorry if I offended you...did not mean it to be preachy...it is just my opinion in seeing these same posts year after year that I would rather focus my energy on the positive. I am not saying fans should not have opinion just saying that in my opinion it is time to move on...find out what Carrie really wants and focus on that.

JMO It is simply what fans do. It provides a subject for discussions. Go to any fan site and you will see some of the same thing. Many fans are vested in the artist and the career that artist has.. They have devoted much time and $$$$ to show their support and admiration. And today's internet social media venues makes the experience more personal and immediate. Like parents, they want their children's efforts, acknowledged and rewarded especially when their child continues to outshine the competition. It doesan't matter that Carrie has already won a truck load of awards, that she is recognized by and included in projects outside the country milieu, that her success has not waned over the last almost 9 years. Worrying is just part of the fan base experience.

You know things are getting sloppy when people are actually comparing Carrie Underwood to Toby Keith in some form of capacity.

Anyway...more coin for Carrie! Carrie Underwood Is the New Face of Almay: Get an Exclusive Sneak Peek at Her Campaign!Flawless complexion. Sparkling smile. And she knows her way around a makeup case. It's no surprise Carrie Underwood has just been named Almay's latest brand ambassador. And we have some exclusive behind-the-scenes shots from her new campaign.
The singer joins Almay vet Kate Hudson as the latest face of the cosmetics giant, and she tells us she jumped at the opportunity to work with a brand about which she feels passionate.
"I believe that every woman is amazing and unique in her own way. So to me, the role of a makeup brand should be to inspire and help women enhance themselves and have fun with makeup, not transform them into something they’re not," Underwood tells PEOPLE. "That's why I'm so excited to become an Almay Global Brand Ambassador. Not only do they share my perspective on authentic beauty, but they also have amazing products that are fun, versatile and easy to use."

Great exposure for Carrie and cha-ching. Yea, like she needs more money. $31 million plus this. I guess when you're Entertainer of the Year, you get these kinds of offers. Oh yea, never mind.

Stunning.
At this point, I could care less if Carrie ever wins another award. She's the hottest female in the genre, which is even more impressive considering she'd won Idol 8 years ago.
She's performed in TSOM, performed the SNF theme, hosted the CMA's, etc. Carrie has accomplished more in 8 years than most artists do in a lifetime. A lot of artists are snubbed at their peak; it's just politics.

I saw a picture of Keri and she is beautiful, and she is black. Maybe the woman meant to say Keri/Carrie Underwood and said Hilson because it was the first thing that she could think of?????? Who knows.. But I have heard Carrie say that people have stopped her while shopping and ask her if she's been told that she looks like Carrie Underwood.

It's funny because Carrie looks NOTHING like Keri... If Carrie was told she looked like Reese Witherspoon, it wouldn't be funny - but Keri Hilson looks NOTHING like Carrie; in just about every way possible - so the comparison is hilarious. It was clearly a mistake on the cashier's part, but the humor lies in the fact that there is absolutely no resemblance. ... You know it's slow in Carrie world when topics like this become heated discussions lmao... Hurry up with the music, Carrie.

I think you're missing the humor, buddy. No, buddy, I didn't miss the point. I don't find humor in mistaking Keri, the singer, from Carrie, the singer. I thought it was weird because one is African American, the other white, buddy. The only thing is how their first names are pronounced, Keri, Carrie. If you find humor in that, good for you, buddy.

No, see, you did miss it. The humor is the person obviously knew she looked like Carrie Underwood (obviously). However, she was probably so thrown off by Carrie's beauty that she got nervous/confused and thought of the first Carrie/Keri she could think of. She said the wrong one and while Carrie probably knew she meant to say "Underwood," the humor is that Carrie was able to say "No."

Anybody know the status on new music by the way? I thought I remember reading that Carrie was returning to work on the fifth album this January but I haven't heard anything in a while.

From her Twitter and such it seems she's kinda taking it easy for a bit. I'm sure she's writing here and there, but there's no official word on if she's working on an album or not...

I don't know why, but I have this feeling that she is pregnant and will announce it in the next few weeks.

And again, sold out tour, 4 number one singles, multiplatinum album, Grammy win for Blown Away, Sound of Music Live with huge ratings, etc, etc. etc and no EOTY nomination. I don't mind her not winning it, there's a lot of great competition, but no nod, it's getting embarrassing now.
