f**k. I missed the pre-sale for the two cities I want to go to. Are regular sale tickets good? Like is it possible to get front section floor seats through the regular sale? Or are those taken up from pre-sales. So pissed. I got an email for the first two rounds of pre-sales but not for mine! I didn't get an email either, and I'm a little angry myself. There were no good seats open when I found out that pre-sales were open yesterday. I'm assuming they probably saved some good seats on the floor close to the stage for the non-fanclub members that will buy tickets during the public sale that opens today. I just purchased my tickets... I got better seats than I was being offered through the pre-sale. The pre-sale seats I was being offered were the very last floor sections. During the regular sale I got seats on the balcony second closest to the stage, so I went with those...

Great praise from J.Lo... and very spot on, specially when she said Carrie had the best performance at the BMAs...

Are there any other interviews of Carrie on the red carpet before or after the show last night? I'd like to hear her thoughts on Phil's win, and if she's mentioned Jessica or any of the other contestants.

I, too, am having issues getting on CF's with Firefox. It says it was hacked. Has anyone e-mailed James about the situation.

That is a fantastic hold.
What is keeping Lionel Richie's sales so consistent? Does he have a song doing well at radio?

The certifications are on shipments not what is sold. It has to be out 4 weeks before it can be certified which is next week.

That is a fantastic hold. What is keeping Lionel Richie's sales so consistent? Does he have a song doing well at radio? No, Lionel hasn't released anything to radio. Well, I think his "Endless Love" duet with Shania Twain got up to #16 on AC Radio, but that was a while ago already. None of the tracks have charted on country radio, though he may be able to sneak one or two into the 55-60 range on Billboard in the coming weeks (a few tracks have been getting about 300-400k in audience lately, falling just short of the top 60 on Billboard). I'm a bit baffled as well. His album is a beast. I guess it is probably because it is a duets album with a lot of HUGE country stars, but I would've thought in today's climate, a lot of the tracks would just sell well as digital singles, ie, people wouldn't purchase the entire album. But I guess they are, and it got some good early promotion and is really spreading via word-of-mouth. It makes me think that, maybe in a year or two, Lionel will actually do a country album (not a country duets album full or remakes of his pop hits, lol) and release singles to country radio. " Tuskegee" was initially supposed to be an album of new material (actual country songs), but Richie scapped it a while back and went with the duets project, of course.

This is it's fourth week, and next week it will have neared nearly 500k, which is enough to certify it Gold because it's measured by shipments. Thaaat's what I implied in the first place.

^ That's really impressive to me.
That's combined all formats, correct?
Also, I've seen posts about people having trouble with Carrie fans. I'm having issues as well. Every time I go over there, a warning of Malware Viruses pops up... I have a MAC so I choose to ignore it, but this has never happened before. It's annoying!

CD Review: Blown Away (Carrie Underwood)
ARA JANSEN, The West Australian Updated May 25, 2012, 2:00 pm Blown Away (Carrie Underwood) Sony 3.5 starsFrom the charging and rockin' opener of the new single, Good Girl, through to the country of Do You Think About Me, Carrie Underwood's fourth album is big, full of flavour and thoroughly comfortable in a killer party dress or a worn pair of cowboy boots. Like the title says, get ready to be blown away by a mighty voice delivering it, too. The 2005 American Idol winner is known primarily as a country singer but this album makes the best case for Underwood's move into commercial pop-rock. Highlights Blown Away and Two Black Cadillacs are a broody pair of tracks. The latter is a haunting, almost gothic revenge story of two women at a man's funeral; one is his wife and the other his mistress. Underwood's powerful vocals were made for these catchy, sassy or heart-tugging ballads, which marry the craft of country storytelling-style songs and a rock edge. Fiddles and twanging live easily in the lush instrumentation which involves everything from cello, electric guitars and ukulele to the bouzouki. au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/entertainment/a/-/music/13778394/cd-review-blown-away-carrie-underwood/

That is a fantastic hold. What does she have lined up promotional-wise? Not too much in the USA... She has some radio stuff going on, the CMT Awards, CMA Fest... Then she has international stuff going on for the beginning of the Summer. Whenever she comes back to the States, she'll probably take a little downtime and start tour planning/rehearsal. The American media-blitz is pretty much over, though.

Who needs promo when you have the smash that is Blown Away? Seriously, when I first reviewed the album, this wasn't one of my favorite cuts and I didn't get the appeal but her recent live performances have pushed this up on my list of favs.

I have a MAC so I choose to ignore it, but this has never happened before. It's annoying! I got the malware message a couple weeks ago on a few threads in the country forum here at Pulse, as well. It was linked to someone's avatar, and that person was a Carrie fan, so I'd guess they are on CF too and I think wherever they got that avatar from, is 'infected' or whatever. So either it's the same person, or other people went to the same site that person did. I've just been ignoring the message.

Just got my picture of me with Carrie from the Blown Away Listening Party last month in the mail! Carrie was even nice enough to autograph them! I look a little weird, but I'll post it anyway since Carrie looks great (as usual) lol.

Just in time for upcoming UK Concerts/promo, 'Good Girl' rockets up 93 spots to #98 on the Irish National Radio Airplay Charts this week (it is not yet charting on the UK Charts):

How fast is the turnover rate for #1 songs on the Country Charts? I'm assuming its pretty fast considering I dont hear of many songs spending multiple weeks at #1 on the Billboard Chart at least.

How fast is the turnover rate for #1 songs on the Country Charts? I'm assuming its pretty fast considering I dont hear of many songs spending multiple weeks at #1 on the Billboard Chart at least. The last couple years, most songs only get one or two weeks at the top. A handful of songs each year may get 3 or 4 weeks at #1, but it is far less common than it used to be. I think the last song to spend more than 4 weeks at #1 was "Need You Now" (5 weeks in late '09/early '10) --------------------------------- Carrie makes a cameo appearance (via back cover of People magazine ) on Little Big Town's new music video for "Pontoon"! www.people.com/people/article/0,,20598470,00.html Check out the 0:58 minute mark for the brief moment of Carrie (and Blake Shelton on the front cover)
