Well, that's certainly one way it can be interpreted, but definitely not the only way. I think the cover is layered with symbolism so I'm excited to hear more information about the cover and how it was conceived and of course the meaning from the artists' perspective. And I agree that the album will meet the expectations....

"Just a Dream" is only $0.69 on iTunes.

That's one way to look at it. Another way would be something I highlighted, which is obvious Wizard of Oz references in the cover, which makes "Blown Away" concurrent with the whole theme they're aiming to - as well as delivering a message about the album's content. "Just a Dream" is only $0.69 on iTunes. Yes they even have a small banner to advertise it.

OT, but is anyone else having trouble getting CF to load? Or it just me?

Chris Tompkins' publishing company, Big Loud Shirt, posted this over at FB: We are so excited that Chris Tompkins & Josh Kear's song "Blown Away" is the title of Carrie Underwood's upcoming album!

I have a hunch that "Blown Away" (song) made the album, and I think that's what she's referring to in this quote. I would assume that's a safe bet considering it's the title of the record ;) . I think the cover is cool. I think her face looks really weird in that half constipated half confident pose, especially because she is such a beautiful person, but the tornado/storm background is epic and her legs are incredible. Does it match the title? Eh...sort of. But who cares?

I love the more edgier Carrie and I don't think that it's anyone pushing her to be this way, I think it's just an evolution to who she already is, :) I don't care what she sings, she's always fantastic so bring it on, I am ready for the ride!!!! :) :)

I would assume that's a safe bet considering it's the title of the record ;) . I think jhomes meant that it was very likely, but not completely certain cuz the album coulda been called "Blown Away" and not had a song on there called that. But now Chris Tompkins' page confirms that Carrie named the album after the song "Blown Away" written by Josh Kear and Chris! Carrie looks smokin' hot on the cover!! Nothing wrong with it at all in my opinion!

I'm glad she's edgier. I'm not a country fan so she appeals more to my taste of pop.

She definitely looks like a pop diva on the cover. The makeup is not my favorite (prefer fresh-faced, peaches and cream Carrie) but they seem to be angling away from the girl next door image.

Norah Jones is releasing her new album on May 1st as well. Should we be worried about her blocking Carrie from a #1 in album sales?

Norah Jones is releasing her new album on May 1st as well. Should we be worried about her blocking Carrie from a #1 in album sales? If last album sales are any indication, Carrie will be fine; Play On debuted with 318k sales, while The Fall (Norah's album) sold 180k.

To put some old rumors to rest...
Carrie posted at the OFC that she IS NOT against rodeo or hunting. She addressed that people automatically assumed when she openly started to help animals; i.e. shelters, spaying/neutering, and such. She has family who hunts: MIKE, and she grew up in a rodeo town.
So there it is... people can finally stfu about it.

Check out "Good Girl" as a line dance. Choreographed by Iris Dahl from Hot Liners Damp, Schleswig Holstein, Germany. Grandma's cute. Dance starts at around the 2:50 mark.

OK, I'm starting to get impatient with the lack of tour dates. Will they wait closer to the release of the album or something? I see that one of my favorite places to see Carrie (Ravinia Festival) just announced their summer lineup and nothing....:(
I have money burning a whole in my pocket so come on already!

^^Same here, I know she'll be crossing Texas at one point or another. Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, would be my preference, but I'll go to Dallas/Austin to see her.
