Under cool new music.
He's trying the same formula as 'Yeah 3X' with this electro-dance song.

This is sooo bland and generic just like "Strip". He needs to go sit down with this garbage and come back when he has something fresh.

Can he just go straight R&B and just leave POP alone please?

I haven't been able to stand him since Rihanna, but otherwise he needs another 'She Ain't You'.

I happen to have really liked "Yeah 3X", for this reason.
It doesn't try to posit anything more than a celebratory vibe, nor does it get particularly dumbed-down with pop-cultural name drops, unintelligible slang and other lyrics of that sort. It's a straight-up dance song with a solid beat that doesn't take itself too seriously nor act too stupid.
I actually think Chris Brown would benefit from going down this route a little more often instead of presenting himself as a shell of Michael Jackson or Usher's former glory. And please..............PLEASE Chris.............no more babbling about how you're going to make someone "wet the bed".
Namaste, lisping HIBISCUS

I like this Chris Brown. Beatiful People was underrated. If he went this route with elements of Look At Me Know I could get over the incident. He grew on me last era.

@ the "We Found Love" elements. And the constipated noises towards the end had me rolling in on the deep floor! Better than "Crap 3x," but still not great. He needs to take a more urban route and leave pop alone, really. "Look At Me Now" was a smash despite its low pop airplay. That's where he does best.

If we really want to do this weak We Found Love comparison, I always thought that We Found Love had elements of Yeah 3X.

And "Yeah 3x" was practically a cover of Calvin Harris' "I'm Not Alone". I'm sure we could go on.

Exactly. Which is why it was a weak comparison. Almost everything sounds the same these days.

I like this Chris Brown. Beatiful People was underrated. Don't ever in your life compare this atrocity to "Beautiful People". He should def go more in that route along with "Pass Out" and "Forever"... this is some stale BEP-faux type sh*t. If this and "Strip" are previews of what the album will be like (i.e. generic on both pop and urban fronts) then he can keep it.

It's not funny because of the fact that it sounds like WFL (because it obviously doesn't). It's funny because it uses similar elements WFL does. It doesn't sound like WFL, it contains the same elements found in WFL. That doesn't mean WFL created the elements (because it obviously didn't), it just means they both use similar elements. It's funny because of the whole Rihanna/Chris Brown situation, and the fact that both songs are being released to close to each other.
I still stand by my constipated noises at the end comment, though.

He currently has a Top Fifteen hit here as a featured artist with Pitbull, and situated his first two albums heavily on songs that can appeal to both formats hand in hand. He may not have garnered any hits during "F.A.M.E." with quite the scope of appeal as "Forever" or "Run It", but he's more than holding his own on both sides of the fence. I prefer Brown much more as a pop singer than a rapper anyway. Namaste, lisping HIBISCUS

However, he has proved to be much more successful with his urban music than his pop music. And I much prefer his urban music.

Because most of his latest pop has stunk. Let's keep it one hunnid boo. Pop uses him on a Jason Derulo basis now anyway, just a one-off club banger that doesn't really serve a purpose for him. Urban is where his target audience is and where he gets his sales/success from so coming to us with this try-hard pop ish is pointless and just a mess. Crossovers suit him better.

Was this song intended as a joke? If so, it succeeded beyond anyones wildest expectations.
