^ She has the biggest-selling 2012 release in the UK. I'm surprised she's not being marketed over here as "this year's Adele" and "the album you can't miss!"

Thankfully found this at the first Target I went to. It wasn't in the best place for new releases but whatever.

Does anyone else cringe when she sings "And when we have the kids, we'll tell them to remind we" in "Mountains?" That's not even a reasonable use of poetic license. It's just nasty grammar, and not even necessary to the rhyme: she could have just used "ME" instead.

^Nice; "Daddy" is free on iTunes. Just checked this song out. I REALLY like it! Once I have enough $$$, I'll have to check out the album.

She's british the grammar isn't exactly the same in American English. That lyric is definitely not British grammar (or slang) either though.

The song has only gone to Triple A and Urban AC. I don't know why they didn't push "Next To Me" to CHR/Pop and Hot AC prior to releasing the album. It makes no sense.

I just went to a WalMart here, too, in Phx and again......NOTHING!
They sure don't want her to sell here in the States.

I downloaded it for $5 on Amazon. I'm kinda' liking it, but not fully yet. For sure I appreciate it, but it is not a WOW album to me. I like something a bit more edgy perhaps, but for sure it's not bad. Here and there some notes she sings remind me of Leona Lewis and that's not a plus to me...

HDD has first-week sales at about 10,500. Not nearly as bad as I was starting to expect.

I finally found it at a Best Buy here in Phoenix for 8.99 (regular price), but I had to get the Super Deluxe Edition of Grace Potter & the Nocturnals new cd and they also had one of her older, harder to find CD's so I passed.
I finally got to hear the CD though and I agree with one of the above posters that it's definitely not a WOW album, but it's definitely not a sleeper either.

^ I was originally thinking 20k would be nice, but then when the release date actually came, I was starting to worry that 6k would be more like it.

I just heard 'Clown' & 'Hope' from her. I like her voice & her style. 'Clown' really stood out to me. It's about that time I check this newbie out :)

After she spent the whole Olympic closing ceremony perfoming "Read All About It Part 3" on repeat, the song is number three in the UK this week. The Pro Green original is #71. Her album is back to number one.

This girl is flawless. This album is flawless. Slightly embarrassed for just now discovering her, but Our Version of Events is an incredible effort.
I want to see her get some major US love.

I love this album. I wish she would get some US love. They should have given her more promo and they should release "Wonder" as a single here I think it has potential.

I just saw her album discounted at Target and picked it up on a whim. I love it! Her voice is amazing. I agree with those that mentioned Massive Attack --- I hear those kind of vibes, too.
I'm really impressed with this girl. I'd not heard of her before.

I don't know if it was discounted or not but I was hoping Black Friday would get her back on the charts.

It's so bizarre to me that they didn't push her harder in the US.

It's so bizarre to me that they didn't push her harder in the US. Well it looks like they're beginning a real push for "Next To Me" here in January. Better late than never I suppose.
